Winter Sketches

Hello!  I'm back today to share a couple more Christmas cards using stamps from  The Greetery - Winter Sketches, Opposites Attract Holiday  & stencil - Frosty Flakes. The Merry Christmas sentiment stamp on the blue version is from Gina K

I've seen a few cards on Pinterest using this stamp set and just love how festive this stamp set is.

Both cards are made the same just changed the colours and sentiments.  I aligned the card fronts in my Misti and stamped away, stamping the bottom first, the flipping my card front around and ink and stamp again.  This set is multiple stamping which I love because it gives you so much dimension for real life look.  This is a very quick and easy process, so I ended up making 8 card fronts all at once.

For the branches I used Pink Fresh Gathered Twigs, greenery - Gina K Fresh Asparagus (I think, I had too many greens on my desk, now can't remember which I used), blue berries - Pink Fresh - summer shower & storm. Outside snowflake border - sponged distress antique linen through the stencil

After all the stamping was done I sponged distress antique linen through the  stencil to create the snowflake border.  For the sentiment I first sponged the whole sentiment using PF summer shower, then just along the bottom edge I added the darker blue - storm to give it that gradient look.

For my second card, created the same what using PF Passion Fruit and Candy apple for the red inks, all others were the same. Sentiment was stamped in passion fruit, then I added the 'greetings' using black versafine.

Before mounting the cards onto either silver foil (for the blue card) or gold foil for the red card) I sprayed some Sheer shimmer sparkle spray from Imagine.  Love all the shimmer it gives when dried, but I don't think you can see it in the photo's.

For finishing touches I added some pearls and gems, along with some Diamond Dust along the branches for the wintery Christmas feel.

Thank you for stopping by today, enjoy the rest of your day!

Cozy Christmas

My plan was to post this last night for today, but we are have some major internet connections. I even had to go into work today, which usually I work from home on friday's and mondays :(.  Looks like we won't be able to get anyone out to look at it until early next week.

I popped on after dinner tonight and it is very slow, but thought I would create this post and see how far I get.

So here is another Christmas card I made.  Lots of these cards are around on the internet.  Image is from Tim Holtz - Cozy Christmas. Love his Christmas images.

I stamped it onto some canson water colour paper using black archival ink.  I then used some distress reinkers and coloured the image.  I then sponged the back ground using distress tumbled glass and faded jeans, some shabby shutters and anitque linen.

Then came out the sprays:  Oxide distress speckled egg, and pumice stone.  I then took some walnut distress ink and went around the edges to darken it up.

I cut the image down with an MFT stitched rectangle die, layered it onto some antique gold stardream c/s, then onto some dark brown c/s for the base.

I cut the snowflakes (Memory box) from kraft c/s then applied some embossing ink and then embossed them using some chocolate sparkle embossing powder from Sparkle N Sprinkle.

I also added some tiny little gold star sequins along to top portion for a bit of added interest.

What do you think?  I love it, need to make more.  I made 2 so far, but need to get an assembly line going with this.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope this will post, doesn't seem to want to save, but I'll keep trying.

Have a good weekend

Christmas bungalows

Hi! I finally got around to taking pictures of my cards.  I also finished 2 of my card orders this weekend as well, what a good feeling that is!

A few months back when I had no mojo, I saw these Penny Black images.  What's great about them is they are already printed, all you have to do is make/add them to a card.  You can be a simple as you like or elaborate, choice is yours.

I'm so glad I purchased these as I made several of these images into cards. They work up so fast. Today I have 3 to share.

For my first one, I layered the image onto so antique gold shimmer cardstock. then onto some white which was cut using Penny Black Zig Zag Stackers die, then adhered this onto some navy cardstock.  I then took a sentiment also from Penny Black, stamped in black, then cut out with a narrow sentiment die.  Snowflake  is from Penny Black - Ava Snowflakes - used the 3rd size.  I then used my quickie glue pen and dotted the roof of the house and into the trees, and added Simon Says unicorn dust glitter.

My second card, I started with some white cardstock and cut an opening using Penny Black Stitched frames.
I also cut the corners once more with gold stardream c/s, popped the white ones out and put in the gold.
For the sentiment I used Spellbinders glimmer sentiment plates, and used gold foil for this.  Trimmed it down with a sentiment strip label die. Again added lots of glitter!

For my last cards, kept it nice and simple, layered the image onto some gold stardream c/s, then onto some white which was cut using the zig zag stacker dies once more, then layered it onto some dark green.  Added lots of glitter!

The only thing about using pre printed images, is that I feel I am cheating the recipient, because it wasn't had coloured, if you know what I mean.  But the end results are beautiful!

I thank you for taking the time to stop in today.  Wishing you a wonderful day.
Take care,

Pauline

Enchanted Meadow.

Hi!  Hope you had a good weekend.  Mine was busy, and spent most of the day Sunday working on my Christmas card orders.  I still haven't gotten around to taking pictures of any new ones yet, but I do have one from a while ago to share.

This one is using Pinkfresh Studio Enchanted Meadow.  The entire card was done using stencils.

The floral meadow was done using a variety of Pinkfresh Studio inks.  Once done, I then layered the argyle stencil and added glitter paste through the stencil.  Once dry I tied some twine around it and added a little take with 'happy birthday', and also included a little pink heart from Trinity Stamps.  Added a few pearls in different colours as well, then adhered to a blue cardstock.

A quick and easy card.

Thanks for stopping by today, have a wonderful day!

Baby Girl Shaker Card

Hello everyone! Yes it's me, I'm finally back.  I'm pretty sure I don't need to explain my whereabouts over the last 4 or so months, but as it happens to all of us, family life and work life sometimes takes priority over crafting life.

I was wanting to get back at it back in Sept, but I just couldn't get my mojo going no how.  This weekend I was able to start my Christmas cards, although I don't have pictures yet, I realized there are some cards I made back in June & July that I have not posted.

Today's card is one I made for a friend who is expecting her 2nd grand daughter, so she needed this early to send over to Australia.

The 'bundle of joy' die set is one I've had for a few years, purchased from AliExpress. I cut out the pieces, then sponged some light pink on the stork and sack. I then added some foam tape to the back of bundle of joy, added some sequins on the bottom layer, adhered the top and voila a shaker card!

Papers are from Echo Papers - Bundle of Joy.  All the other supplies - flowers, lace, ribbon and pearls are from my stash.

I've been off since Thursday, enjoying some much need time off from work.  I put up my Christmas tree up on Friday, oh it looks so pretty! I'm back to work tomorrow, so I'm going to visit a good friend this morning as we catch up and chat over a cup of java!

I wish you all a wonderful day! Hugs,

Pauline

Heartfelt Condolences

Hello everyone! Hope you had a good weekend!

Today I have a couple more sympathy cards which I made for my last card order.

All products are from Altenew -

My first card is using the stencil and die from Hill Blossoms set.  I used Altenew inks for this. Once my floral was all stenciled I cut it using the matching die.  For the background I took a stencil and sponged some light ink just for some added interest.  Sentiment was stamped in black versfine, and then a few pearls were added to finish this off.

For my second card, I used Altenew's Flower Bunch stencil and die. Again used Altenew inks for the stenciling, once done I cut it out with the matching die. I then ran a piece of white card stock through my Platinum 6 using the Altenew Angled  Mosaic 3D embossing folder. I added the die cut floral piece to the front and added some pearls and wink of stella glitter pen to the flowers.

I love using the stencils, they make for such a fast and very pretty card.

Thank you for stopping by today.  See you back here real soon.  Take care,

Pauline

Sending Hugs

Hi, I'm back.  I kind of lost track of time to tell you the truth.  Lately I find the days just roll right on by.  Last week it was a holiday here in Canada on Monday, so when Tuesday rolled around to go to work, I thought it was Monday, so on and so on, it just messes with you week!. I haven't been stamping lately either (seem to have lost my mojo) but I had this one done last month, so thought best to share with you today.

Using Pinkfresh Studio products, washi tape (English Garden), dies, glimmer plates and gold pearls.

If you haven't used PFS washi tape, I must say it is the best. Several images in each set, and there is about 19-20 sets on one roll.  Basically just cut it off between sections, adhere to white c/s, use the matching die (which cuts all your pieces at once, as the die is one large with all the floral pieces in one).  Once the die cutting is done, then you just need to create your card.

I also used the glimmer hot foil plate for my sentiments, again this has several sentiments on one, so foil your paper then die cut all at once then you have several sentiments to use.

I used PFS mini slim line die for my top layer.  Once I adhered everything down, I added some gold pearls to finish this off.

Well that's it for me today, Hope you are all keeping well.  We have another hot week ahead of us, temp close to 40C (over 100F).

Florals

Hi everyone.  It's been a few weeks since I've been here, hope you are all doing well!

For my card today, it was kind of a bonus at putting it together, as most of this was already coloured and die cut, just sitting in my parts basket.  I was going through it looking to see what I could put together, and came across this coloured image which was done over a year ago.  I also came across the die cut frame in purple, which seem to fit perfectly with my image.

The floral image is from Justrite, and the die cuts are from Spellbinders, the small die of the month for January/21.

After assembled, I added some purple pears, and some flitter to the flowers.

Well, it's a hot day here in SW Ontario today (feels like 95F) hence I stayed indoors and did some much needed purging.  Still more to do, but I did put a dent into it.

Thank you for stopping by today, see you back here real soon! Enjoy your day!

Find Peace and Comfort

Hi friends, hope everyone is doing well.  I have another sympathy card to share with you today.

Here, I'm using a Penny Black stamp called Entranced.

I started with some canson watercolour paper, placed the stamp in my misti and added distress oxide inks using daubers, spritzed and stamped.  I repeated until I was happy with the results.

I cut a rectangle out of a scrap piece of lightweight cardstock, then placed it over my image - centered- and sponged some distress oxide inks to create the centered coloured piece.  Sentiment is also from Penny Black, this was stamped using black versafine.

I then used my Trinity embossed rectangle die to cut this out.  I really like how it finishes the edges.

Well that's it for me folks.  Have a fantastic day! See you back here real soon.

Floral frame x 2

 Hello everyone!

I am sharing a couple of more sympathy cards in which I made for my card order.  I have a few more sympathy cards to share after this post, I hope you won't be bored with them.

Both cards today are using products from The Greetery - Print Shop: Floral Frame Stamp & Stencil set.

I used distress oxide inks for both.  Once all the stenciling was completed, I used the matching die set (removed out part, just used center die) to cut the center away.

I then sponged a coordinating colour in the center , then stamped my sentiment. Sentiments are from Penny Black  - Sympathy Sentiments.

I added some SSS Unicorn Dust glitter on the flowers  and a few pearls on the pink card.

I find I really gravitate to stencils lately, probably because they make for fast card making, and now a days with all the layers, the florals look so real.

I have so many new stamps and stencils that haven't been touched, mainly because I haven't had time. I'm kind of getting back into stamping again, so hopefully I'll get to use them soon.

Thanks again for stopping by.  Hope you have a fabulous day my friends!

Something for Baby

Good day everyone! We are stuck in the middle of another heatwave.  Yesterday felt like 107F and today is suppose to be a bit hotter than that.  No relieve until maybe Thursday.  I know the West coast is experiencing like conditions but even hotter if one can imagine, and worse for them as they don't normally see these types of temperatures.

My card today is one that I made for my card order last month.  A baby girl.  Now I know this probably isn't your typical 'girly' colours, but I went with a more vintage look.  Also the clothes look more pink than what the dp paper is, but in real I tell you they are pretty close in colour.  So strange how a camera can make it look so different.

Regardless, here is my card:

The dies I used for the clothes, I purchased from AliExpress a few years ago, I also have the boy set, they are so cute.  Oval die is from Spellbinders.

Paper is from Graphic 45 - little darlings collection. The sentiment 'baby girl' is from a Papertrey Ink set, stamped in versafine gray ink.

Once everything was put together I added some flowers and pearls to finish this off.

Wishing you all a wonderful day! Take care,

Pauline

Miss Your Smile - slimline

Hi!  Hope everyone had a great weekend.  Weather has been so hot here, but looks like tomorrow and Wednesday we have a little reprieve before it heats up again.

Today's card is a slim line using Pinkfresh Studio - Miss Your Smile stencils.  I am so hooked on stencils lately, it makes for speedy and beautiful cards. I used a variety of colours to create this all being Pinkfresh Studio inks.

The Happy Birthday is also a Hot Foil plate from Pinkfresh with a matching die set.  All sentiment words are on one glimmer plate, so you just need to run it through your Glimmer machine and the die is all in one sheet as well, so one pass through your Spellbinder Platinum I have a variety of sentiments at once.

To finish off I added some pearls and wink of stella clear glitter pen.

I appreciate you stopping by for a visit.  Hope you have a fabulous day!

Embossed resist sympathy cards

Hello!  Today I'm back to share a couple of sympathy cards.

For both cards I started by heat embossing the image in white, onto some white cougar c/s. I then created a rectangle mask out of some thinner cardstock, so I could sponge on some ink. I used distress oxide inks for both - sorry I did keep a list of colours as I did these a while ago.

First card I used an image from Gina K - Natural Silhouettes, sentiment is from SSS.

Second card, image is from Woodware - Scandinavian Spray, and sentiment is from PTI.

 `

To finish off I added enamel dots and tiny coloured pearls.

Thank you for stopping by.  I know I have some blogs I need to catch up on, will visit very soon.

Take care and have a wonderful day!

For someone Special

Hi, hope you are all doing well.  I was going to post this card last week, but had to wait until our daughter-in-law received her birthday card, as I didn't want to ruin her surprise.

I had the floral piece stamped out a while ago, as I had stamped out several of these in a variety of colours to have on hand.

Stamps and dies are from Pinkfresh Studio.  For the frame, once cut I sponged some speckled egg onto it. (I think that's what I used).  I popped the frame up from the background piece, and also added some foam squares behind the flowers so everything was level with the frame.

For the sentiment, I used my Spellbinder Hot Glimmer machine and glimmer dies, using foil.

To finish off I added a crystal heart and some tiny pearls.  Added SSS unicorn dust glitter to the flowers.

It is very hot here, started on Friday and will continue all next week. Heat warnings are out.  Currently as I type this it feels like 94F (34C).

Thank you for stopping by, keep well,

Pauline

Slimline Birthday

Hello everyone I'm back! You probably wondered where I've been?  Well, lets just say, life has been busy, work has been hectic, and with that no blog posts.  I basically lost my mojo back end of march early April so card making kind of took a back burner.   I had a friend reach out and ordered 20 cards, so that kind of pushed me to continue to make cards but I struggled with it. I finally have her order done after 2 months.  So hopefully now that I have that completed, and pictures taken I will be posting more regularly now.

Today's card is a birthday card I made using Spellbinders die of the month for April. This is a slimline die set, which contains 4 slimline dies and several flower and leaf dies.

I started with SU Bermuda Bay c/s.  After all the pieces were cut, I added some foam tape for the top layer, but before that I embossed the 'happy birthday' using white embossing powder.

For the flower and leaves, I used scraps from my scrap bin.

To finished I added some tiny white pearls to the centers of the flowers and scattered some rhinestones across the front.

Well that is it for today.

I hope you are all keeping well.  I'll be back again soon,

Take care and have a wonderful day.

Floral Notes

Hello everyone, hope you are all doing fine!

Sorry for not being around much in the last few weeks.  Work has been busy, and I don't feel much like making cards or blogging at night.  This weekend, weather was gorgeous, we did a lot of yard work, much more to go, but we put a big dent into it.

My card today is one that I made for my last card order last month, but just never posted yet.  This is a Mother's Day card.

Using Pinkfresh Studio dies and stencils.- Floral notes stencil & die, slim lacey edger die and Inverted diamond stencil.

I started by stenciling the floral notes using Pinkfresh studio inks.  I then cut it out using matching die, and also cut an extra one and adhered together for some dimension.

For the layer on top of my base, I using one of the edger dies from the set and cut it along the bottom edge.  I then placed the inverted diagonal stencil on top and sponged inks very lightly, blue more in the middle and the yellow and greens out towards the sides.

I stamped the sentiment in black versafine clair and cut it out with a flag banner die.

I adhered everything together, flat, but popped up the sentiment.

To finish off I added tiny pearls to the centers of the floral border, TH rock candy glitter to the centers of the flowers  and enamel dots around the floral.  For the centers of the flowers - I using a tiny stamp from on of my Papertrey Ink stamps sets and stamped it in black.  I just thought it was too plain and needed something.

That's it for me today. I appreciate your visit.  See you again real soon!

Hippity-Hoppity

Hello!  I'm back today to share another  Easter cards I made last weekend.  I didn't want to post this until I knew my Son Mark and DIL Anna received it, and they did on Thursday.

I used products  from The Greetery - Bunny Hop stamp, stencil & die set, Square Dance die. Inks are from Altenew.

I started by stenciling the bunny wreath  - once done I used the matching die to cut it out. I then used white cardstock and  the Square Dance die to cut out the layer behind the wreath. Next I cut a circle  from the square dance piece.  This allowed me to have an opening in the white die cut so I could stamp my sentiment.

Sentiment was stamped using Versafineclair nocturne  ink  - I used my Misti just incase I needed to stamp again, as the blue c/s is from Bazzill, so it has some texture on it.

Once everything was together, I added some sequins to finish it off.

Well that's it for me for today.  I wish everyone a very Happy Easter!

Thanks for stopping by, have yourself a wonderful day!

Happy Spring

Hope this finds you well!  Here we are the last day of March already!  I"ve been scrambling in trying to get my Easter cards done and out in the mail, as I didn't realize last week that  Easter is this weekend! Yikes!

This is one of 3 I did on the weekend.  Using stamps and dies from The Greetery, - Bunny Hop stamp, stencil &  die, Spring word die, SSS square dance stencil, and Altenew dye inks

Starting with the bunny stencils and Altenew inks I sponged the bunnies, flowers and carrots.  The greenery is one stamp the fits perfectly around the bunnies.  I used my Misti for the greenery so I could make sure I got good coverage.  Small stamps in the set for the accent on the ears were used in a slightly darker in, then I used my prismacolour pencils to add some detail to the flowers and carrots. I then cut the image out with the matching die.

For the background I used SSS square dance stencil and added inks from what I currently had on my brushes when I sponged the bunnies. A bit of yellow and purple.

Spring - was cut out 3x and adhered together for some dimension.  Sponged some ink heavier on the bottom of the word and light on top for some interest.  Stamped Happy onto a piece of white c/s then cut out with a flag banner die from The Greetery as well.

To finish I added a little enamel purple heart above the happy and some white glitter rhinestones. I sent this off to my sister, I just hope she gets it in time.

Thanks for stopping by.  I will have the other 2 Easter cards in my next post.

Take care everyone, till next time.....

Sending Springtime smiles

Hello!  I'm back today to share another springtime card using products from PinkFresh Studio.

This is the same stencil set that I used in my last post - the  Daisy Wreath Stencil  and matching die, along with Diagonal Stitched Circles dies and Simply Diamonds die.  I also used a background stamp - Floral Diamond.

I started by embossing the floral diamond background stamp onto some white c/s using white embossing powder. I then sponged the entire background using PF inks - Grassy Knoll and Fresh Pear, not too heavily.

My florals were done with PF inks as well, I used inks from the green set - Over the Hills as well as inks from Rise and Shine set.

Using white c/s I cut out the diamond background using the Simply Diamond die, as well as one of circles from Diagonal Stitched circle die.  I figured out where I wanted the sentiment by arranging the floral pieces, then embossed the sentiment in gold - sentiment is from PTI.

I then layered everything together, added some glitter to the flowers using SSS unicorn glitter and my quickie glue pen.  Added some pearls and rhinestones to finish this off.

Love the fresh springtime feeling to this card.

Thanks for stopping by today, always appreciate your visit. Stay healthy, keep well, till next time.....

Spring Wishes

Here we are in the middle of March already, which means spring weather will be upon us shortly.  We had a few nice days last week, around in the upper 50's, but yesterday, it was bitterly cold.  Chance of rain/snow mix for today, but next week looks to be around 50 for Monday and Tuesday. Bring on the spring!

With that said, I have a lovely floral card to share today.  All products are from PinkFresh Studio. I used the Daisy Wreath Stencil  and matching die, as well as the A2 Diamond Plaid stencil and Stitches die (which only cuts the stitching lines).

To start I placed my white cardstock onto my Wendy Vecchi make art station, and then added the stencils as required.  This is a 4 step process.  They are so easy to use, and so easy to line up.  Grid marks on embedded right into the stencils for an A2 size, so as long as you have your cardstock within the 4 corner marks, everything lines up.  I used distress oxide inks for this card.  Once inked, I used the matching die to cut it out. I cut a piece of vellum to go behind the image so I could emboss my sentiment.  Sentiment is from PTI Spring Hills which I embossed in gold.

I cut the white piece behind the flowers using the Stitches die, and then trimmed it down.

Stenciling with the diamond plaid was done on the layer behind again with distress oxide ink.

To finish off I added  Tim Holtz rock candy glitter to the center of the flowers, and then 3 coloured pearls.

I have a few more cards in the works using some new products from PinkFresh Studio.

Thanks for stopping bye, keep well and and a happy day!

Spider Mums

Hope everyone is doing well.  I have a floral card to share today from Altenew Stamps - this one is a Paint-a-flower stamp - Spider Mum.

I stamped the image onto some white cougar 100lb using Gina K's black amalgam ink.  I then pulled out a variety of copics and went to town.

Once coloured I pulled out a SSS stencil and sponged some soft ink colours around the flower.  I used distress oxide, but pretty much what was on my brush and sponged very lightly.

Image was cut out using MFT stitched rectangle.  I layered 2 more pieces of white cardstock behind it for dimension then adhered to my card base.

Finishing touches I added clear Nuvo glitter pen to the flowers, and add a couple of gems.

As always, I appreciate your visit today. Have a wonderful day.

Lucky you

I'm back today to share a couple of St. Patrick day cards I made for a card order.

I made both the same, just changed up the sentiment and the direction of the leprechaun.

The Leprechaun is a die cut from Simon Says Stamps.  When I bought this it looked really easy to put together, well I tell you this was my 4th & 5th attempt.  There is a base die along with the die for all the pieces.  I cut the base, then as I cut the pieces and glued them onto the base and always found that there was a gap when I got up to the hat, ( as I was starting from the bottom).  I finally figured it out, hence the 2 you see below.

For the shamrocks - this is also a stencil from SSS. I started by sponging some distress oxide inks - lucky clover, rustic wilderness and twisted citron. I then left the stencil in place and then added Nuvo clear shimmer paste.

It didn't take very long to dry. I then cut it out with a MFT stitched rectangle die, then layered it onto some PTI - New Leaf c/s.

The sentiment strips are from SSS.  I just trimmed them down to fit the card, also added a couple more pieces of cardstock behind each strip for some dimension.

I used a white gel pen to add some accents to the Leprechaun.

I appreciate you taking the time to stop by today.  Have a wonderful day!

Airbrushed flowers

I'm back with a second post this week, which has not been my norm lately, but I made a couple of cards on the weekend, so this is the second one I made.

Using Altenew's Airbrushed Flowers set and matching dies.

Inks used are from the Altenew sets Nature's Wonders and Sugarplums. This set is a multiply layer set, which I just love doing.  Step by step instructions with each makes stamping so much easier.  Once stamping was done I cut it out with matching dies.

It took me a while to decide what I wanted to do for the background.  Most of my papers were either too busy of a pattern, or not the right shade of purple/plum.  So I decided to go white.  I used the Pinkfresh Studio die  called Diagonal Stitched Plaid which only cuts the plaid marks, and then I also used the oval frame which is called Francy Oval Frame also by PFS.  I cut 2 of the frames and glued them together.

I arranged the florals around the frame, tucking the leaves underneath, and adding some foam squares under the flower petals in spots as well as the top and bottom leaves.

Using Nuvo glitter gloss pen to add some sparkle to the centers of the flowers, then added some Studio Katia Icy Sparkle crystals.

I was going to add a sentiment, but decided not to.  This way I can use it for anything, either add a sentiment at that time, or just on the inside.

That's it for me this week.  Have a wonderful weekend everyone, see you back here next week.  Keep well!

Pauline

Peaceful Florals

Hello everyone! Hope you are all doing well.

Today's card is one that I don't need, but always good to have on hand.  I'm using a stamp set from Gina K, called Peaceful Florals.  I had thoughts of water colouring this image, but changed my mind and decided to use my Polychromos pencils and a bit of gamsol for blending.

Since I always tend to go with pink or purple flowers, I decided to go with a yellow/orange this time around.  Once coloured I sponged a bit of light yellow from Altenew, but as you can see I have a bit of a pinky/orange glow, so I think my brush with the yellow ink picked up some of the orange from the pencil colouring, which I really don't mind at all.

To finish I cut it out using a MFT scallop rectangle die.  Sentiment is from a set from Simon Says Stamps.  Now it looks crooked, but I tell you when it was flat and I used my Misti to line up and stamp it was perfectly straight.  Maybe it's the way the script is written.  But it's stamped now, so gotta go with it!

I added some Pretty Pink Post diamond rainbow rhinestones.  For my card base I used a piece from my scrap bin, but I think it might be baked brown sugar from SU.

I appreciate you stopping by. Have a fabulous day!

Spellbinders Valentine cards

Happy Friday! I have a couple more Valentine cards to share today.  Both cards are using the Spellbinders  small, large and glimmer kits of the month for January.

My first card (although it looks crooked, but it's not in real life, must of been the angle of my camera) is using the larger die of the month.  I cut it from gold mirror cardstock and cut off the ends on each side (this die is a slimline size).  I used my glimmer hot foiling machine and dies for the sentiment and the heart in the center.

The set also comes with some flower and leaf dies, which I cut form green and pink cardstock, sponged some distress inks on them for added interest.  Behind the gold centerpiece I adhered some vellum, it gives it that frosty look.  For my card base I used my score buddy and added score lines.

To finish off I added some small gold pearls.

For my second card, non traditional Valentine colours - a request from my co-worker for his girlfriend who's favourite colour is purple.

Again, I used the small die of the month for this one.  I cut the outer frame from white, and the inner frame for purple and also from silver mirror c/s.  I adhered the purple to the silver just offset just a pinch. Used my hot glimmer machine for the foiling on the sentiment and the center heart. Die cut some flowers and greenery and added to the bottom corner.

To finish off I added some pearls and rhinestones from Studio Katia.

Well that's it for me for today.  I hope everyone has a wonderful Valentine's day on Sunday.  We are still in lock down here until the 16th.  Still very cold,  looks like it will continue into next week.  How many more days till spring? !!

Oh I was so surprised yesterday, as I was working away in my craft room (that's where I have my work station set up for work) I was looking out my window and saw a different bird.  It was a Common Redpoll.  We have never seen one in our backyard, they never seem to be this far south in Ontario.  Grabbed my camera did a quick picture from the back door before he flew off.  Such a pretty bird.  Anyway just had to share that with you.

Take care, see you back here next week.

Potted Passion

Helle everyone, and Happy Monday! Very cold temperatures here all weekend and right through into next weekend. The wind is so brutal it is suppose to be around -21C today with the wind chill.. Can't wait for Spring to arrive.

Today's I'm sharing  a Valentines card.  The stamp set I'm using is from Penny Black - Potted Passion.  I bought this last year, had it coloured up but just never made it to a card.

Going through to see what I had in my partially done bucket, I pulled the potted blooms out and I also found the die cut behind it as well.

Went through some of my 6x6 paper packs looking for the right background.  I ended up using this piece from Prima Marketing - Apricot Honey.  I thought the grayish colour went well with the planter.  I sponged some distress oxide worn lipstick just in the center of the die cut for a bit of colour behind the floral once I popped it up.

I die cut the work 'love' 3x's from black card stock, this is also from Penny Black. Card base is a deep red, although it kind of looks like a rusty colour in the picture.

To finish off I added some Studio Katia winterberry pearls, Nuvo glitter gloss to the heart flowers, also used my white pen and added some dots to the flowers, and lastly added a Nuvo crystal heart just above the word love. I sent this off to my sister, I wasn't going to post this until she received it, but I don't think she reads my blog.

Thank you for stopping by, I really appreciate it when you do.  Keep well everyone.

Balloon Bouquet

Hello.  I'm slowly getting back into the groove of card making. Sorry it's taking so long.  I pulled out some stamp and die sets from The Greetery for my cards today.  I'm trying to replenish my stash basket as it is pretty much depleted.

Stamp sets I used are :  Balloon Bouquet and matching die set as well the  Birthday Blooms and matching die set.  Also used the Stitched cloud dies.

The large balloons are layering stamps, which really make the flowers look so real.  I used distress oxide inks for these. Once the large balloons were done, I sprayed some clear glitter spray for added sparkle.  The larger balloon on each are popped up with some fun foam behind.

For the sentiments, I used the same inks I used in the card and just stamped in two colours for a gradation look.

To finish off I added some sequins and enamel dots.

As always, thanks for taking to the time to stop by.  Keep well, stay safe,

Pauline

With Love

Hello everyone! I meant to post this to be loaded up this morning, but I think I lost a day somewhere.  I tell you when you work from home, each day just rolls into the other. I've been totally off my game this week for some reason.

Well, as promised here is the other Valentine card I made for my friend.  I got the stenciling idea from Jennifer McGuire - love her videos, always packed with so much information.  Stencil is from SSS.  I started with some Fog Grey c/s (SSS) and used a light grey ink, I think it was from Altenew.  I then trimmed down the sides and lined it up to where I wanted it on the card base.  I then laid the stencil over top of the fog grey, and then carefully removed the grey c/s and then sponged the stencil onto the pink using PTI peony pink ink and c/s.

I cut the hearts (Aliexpress) from 3 different shades of pink/coral/red.  The heart flourish is from Penny Black (love is growing #51-181) - had it forever, and cut this out of some fine red glitter paper.  Stamped the sentiment (PTI - Ink to Paper) with some black versafine.  I added the 4 red hearts, these were from the Penny Black heart flourish die.

I was going to add some sequins but decided to keep it simple.

Well that's it for me for today.  Hope you are all doing well, and thanks for stopping by.  Have a wonderful weekend, see you real soon.

Hugs,

Pauline

Branches of Love

Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well.  Sorry for my absence, I took a much needed break, but ready to get back at crafting once again.

Today I have a  valentine card to share - one of two requested by a friend.

Dies and stamp sets are from PTI - Ink to Paper - Border bling: Tin stitched die and Branches of Love, stamp and matching die set.

To stamp the branches, I die cut it first, then placed the branch back into the negative piece, put it in my misti, then lined up the branch stamp over top.  The branch was stamped in PTI olive twist.  For the flower pot, I did the same, and used Altenew Limestone - very lightly on the first layer, the a bit heavier on the second stamp (the pot is a two step stamp set).

Background in pink is using the Border Bling die.  I also cut a white piece that fits over the center portion of the border bling die using MFT stitched rectangle.  I added some dimension behind the flower pot but adhered the branch flat to the card.  Die cut a variety of pink/red hearts and added them here and there.

Stamped Penny black sentiment ' just for you' using black versafine.  Added some clear sequins to finish this off, as well as nuvo clear glitter pen which was applied to the hearts for some shimmer.

I"ll be back later in the week to share the other valentine card.

As always I appreciate you stopping by.  Take care, stay safe,

Pauline
