Chickadeer

I'm back today to share another Christmas card- YAY!!!!!!!  Card making has been quite slow lately, I have explained at the end of the post why.

A few weeks back I was going through my Christmas stamps and came across a few that I have not even touched yet.  It's just like Christmas finding new stamps that you kind of completely forgotten about! LOL.

So here is Stamping Bella's Chickadeer. How cute is this image?

Again, I used Polychromos pencils and gamsol to colour.  Once coloured I cut a some snowy hills using The Greetery Drifting die set. Love this set, it cuts and pierces.

Paper used is from Penny Black Holiday Trimmings. I was debating on whether or not to put a sentiment on the front, so played around with several and ended up using the sentiment from The Greetery called Sentiment Suite : Christmas Stamp Set and matching Sentiment Suite die set.  The one good thing about the sentiment sets so far from The Greetery is that the die set she created matches her last 3 sentiment sets. I'm probably not explaining it correctly, but if you go the The Greetery or click on the link's above I created you will see what I mean.

For finishing touches I used some twine and glitter.

I hope I inspired you today, have yourself a fabulous day!

PS - on the health issue I have been having with my RA - Rheumatoid Arthiritis - well I went for my yearly checkup with my specialist today in London and the reason my feet have been so sore and my right wrist swollen and left hand knuckle issue for months is that my RA is doing a major flare up.  I haven't had any bad flare ups in a couple of years. Normally my flare ups are very painful and only last 2 days, - the type I have is called Palindromic Rheumatism. My feet have been so sore and as of late they are so painful it even hurts to walk or to even rest my feet my bones in my feet are very painful, and my ankles throb terribly when I'm standing or moving. Here I thought it was Planters Fasciitis all along, had a pair of orthotics made for my running shoes and no relief, actually my feet were getting worse.  I never experienced pain like this before in my feet so believed it was something other than RA.  She sent me for xrays and blood work and will follow up with me once she gets the results back.  Card making hasn't been very fruitful lately, with being in pain I have no desire to stamp.  I still continue to dabble at it, but I really need to get going as I have a few orders plus my own Christmas cards to make and time is slipping away.  Sorry for blabbling on and thanks for listening! :)

Thanks for your visit today,
Pauline

Cosmo Bella

Hello there!  Hope you had a good weekend.  I just finished a baby card, but haven't had a chance to take a picture yet, so thought I would share my last of the Bella's I coloured from the group of 5.

This is Cosmobella.  She seems to be my go to girl, when I need a girl friend card, as I have coloured her many times.  I pulled out my Polychromos pencils and blended with gamsol.

I used a MFT set of edgers to cut the scallop arch on the pink and a Simon Says edger for the white layer. Layered these together, then added a narrow strip of dp along the edge for some interest.

To finish off I added some enamel dots, Nuvo glitter pen on her martini, and some twine.

I appreciate your visit, see you here again real soon.  Have a great day!

Madison has a margarita

Well it's back to work after our long weekend here in Canada, where we celebrated Thanksgiving. I had a chance to work on some Christmas cards yesterday, but I don't have them totally completed, colouring is done but that's it.  So with that being said, I will share another Stamping Bella image today.

This is "Madison has a Margarita"!

She is coloured using Polychromos pencils, (which seems my go to medium as of late), and blended out using gamsol.

I used a very old set of Spellbinder dies to cut her out - long rectangle.  Designer paper is from Authentique - Blissful collection.(2011).

I added some sparkle to her drink using Nuvo glitter pen, added some sequins and ribbon to finish this off.

I'm so glad you stopped by today, have yourself a wonderful day!

Winobella

As promised I'm back today to share another Stamping Bella image.  This is the 3rd of the 5 I made.
This is Winobella.  Looks like she is getting ready to Party!!!

I coloured her using Polychromos pencils and blended with gamsol.  Once coloured I then cut her out using an MFT die, left the die in place and sponged some soft pink around the edges.

Designer paper is from my scrap basket.  I cut a little stitched flag tag, added a silk bow and a rhinestone.
Added some sparkle to the wine glasses and her dress using my Nuvo glitter clear pen, then added some more rhinestones.

Well that wraps it up for today.  Wishing you an fabulous day!

Opal the Optimist

Happy Friday! I'm back today to share another Stamping Bella image. This is # 2 of 5 that I coloured up.
This pretty gal is called Opal the Optimist.

I coloured her up using Polychromos pencils and blended with gamsol.  I then cut her out using a scallop edge rectangle die from MFT.  The only difference is that I didn't want it as wide as it cut so put the die back over the image to where I wanted it cut narrower and ran it through my Platinum.  I then used my life changing brush and softly added a bit of PTI aqua mist to the bottom right side.

The Lacy scroll along the side is from Tutti Designs called butterfly Scroll. Background designer paper is from Prima - Bella Rouge.

For finishing touches I added some $store rhinestones to the butterfly scroll, and Nuvo glitter pen to the flowers on her dress and glass of wine.

Thanks for stopping by today, I always appreciate when you do.  Have a great weekend!

Coffeeabella

Today, I'm sharing one of the Stamping Bella images I coloured up for a co-worker.  I had to make 5, so here is the first one.

This is 'don'ttalktomebeforemycoffeeABELLA"!  I've had her forever, and this is the first time colouring her up.

I used polychromos pencils to colour.  Once coloured I cut her out using MFT In & Out Diagonal stitched rectangle stax. I then layered the image onto some PTI Cocoa Bean c/s.

Designer paper is from Basic Grey - Curio paper - This is from 2010!

To finish off I added some enamel dots, and I die cut a piece of BG solid dp using Memory Box curled ribbons - there are 2 ribbons in this set, I cut one  twice and glued together for extra thickness. Nuvo aqua shimmer clear pen was added to her shoes and top, it's just a hint of glitter not much.

Thanks for stopping by today, wishing you a wonderful day!

Curvy girl eats cake

Hi there! TGIF and not only that a 4 day weekend for me as us Canadian's celebrate Canada day on July 1.
The weather has been wonderful all week, although a bit too hot for my liking - it's been reaching 100-104F during the afternoons this past week and the same for the weekend. But hey, it's summer right?

Today I'm sharing a Stamping Bella image called Curvy girl eats cake.

I used polychromos pencils to colour her. To make the curve on the right side I used Spellbinders AS curved borders one.

Designer paper is from Piatek Trzynastego  called Hello Beautiful. Another beautiful line of papers I have discovered along with  Mintay Papers.

Sentiment was white embossed onto some black cardstock. Sentiment is from Papertrey Ink

To finish off I added a small silk bow, clear sequins, some glitter to the flowers along with using my white gel pen, I added some small polka dots to her pocket and on the icing.

That's it for me today, enjoy your weekend whatever you are doing. Have fun, be safe!

Just because

Hello everyone.  I hope you all had a good weekend.  Starting to feel more like spring time around here.  Yesterday it rained and very windy but temperatures were just above freezing.  This week is it is supposed to be between 4-7 C with thursday being 16C with rain, but then dropping after that. But each day is closer to warmer weather!

I've been asked for 'just because' cards, so this is what I am sharing with you today.

I pulled out my Stamping Bella - Mason jar of flowers stamp, stamped it using black memento onto some white cougar 100 lb c/s, then coloured using Polychromos pencils & gamsol. I already had the lattice die cut sitting on my table, so wanted to incorporate that onto my card.  The mason jar just fit perfectly inside one of my SB oval dies.

Designer paper was too pretty to only use a piece of so I decided to make this my main backdrop, then adhered it to a white card base. I added lots of sparkle by using by quickie glue pen and TH distress rock glitter.  The sentiment comes with the stamp set, stamped using black versafine, then used a MFT banner end die. I added some foam tape to raise it off the card.

Finished off with some sequins.   As always, I appreciate your visit, and any comments you might have.  Have yourself a wonderful day!

Pauline

Supplies:
Stamp - Stamping Bella - mason jar of flowers

Misc - seqines, TH distress rock glitter, quickie glue pen, foam tape
Die - Creative Expressions - Portuguese Collection - Lisbon,  Spellbinders Oval die

Cosmobella

Good morning and Happy Monday! I haven't had a chance to work on anything 'new' lately, but I was going through some of my files and found a couple of cards that I have not posted yet.  I believe I was making these in between Christmas cards and completely forgot to post.

This card today is using a Stamping Bella 2.0 Cosmobella.  This particular one is kind of my 'go to' bella stamp for a  girlfriend.  I know I have coloured her up several times and posted, but different colours, different layout warrants another post, don't you think?

I coloured her with Prismacolour pencils after stamping her with black memento ink. I used MFT Mod rectangle stax to cut our her and the layers.  Papers are from my scrap bin.  The Happy Birthday is an Impression Obsession die.

To finish I added a bit of sparkle to her martini glass with wink of stella and added a few enamel dots.

Wishing you a happy day!  See you back her soon.  I have to make a St. Patrick's day card for a friend to give to a friend, so need to get that done this week.

Uptown Brittany

Hello everyone! I know it's been a while since I last posted.  Bill and I took off for a week up north to a couple of the Provincial Parks. The fall colours were gorgeous.  Did lots of hiking, one trail up at Killarney PP took us 1 3/4 hr to climb one way.  The trail was called 'the crack' - hence you climb up rocks between 2 mountains.  Once you reached the top the view was spectacular. Bill took lots of pictures,  I hope to have some to share soon.

Today's card is one I made for one of my co-workers.  She requested a birthday card for a young gal using one of the Uptown girls.  I coloured up two of them and this is the first.  Stamping Bella - Uptown Brittany.

I used prisma colour pencils to colour her, except for the skin tones I used copics.

Paper is from Bo Bunny - Little Miss.  I used a small lacy ornament die from MFT  (for under the bow), cut it in half. Added some silk ribbon, sequins and some TH distress glitter to finish this off.

A quick post for today.  Mark, Anna & boys are coming down for Thanksgiving Dinner today, so lots to get ready.

Happy Thanksgiving to all my Canadian followers. See you soon,

Pauline

Uptown Jayden

Mom, to the rescue once again.  Karen asked me on Tuesday evening if I had a card to give to a summer student (Taya)  on Wednesday, that was working with Karen and she is leaving to go back to university on Thursday. Well, yes I have cards, but none that were fitting for  a young adult. (Flowery cards just wouldn't do!)

Of course, Karen wanted something in the 'bella' images, so she went through my stamps from Stamping Bella and pulled out a couple.  I thought Uptown Jayden fit best, since she is going back to school and she loves her sweets.  I'm using Uptown Jayden loves to journal- looks like she is deep in thoughts!  I think Jayden is more for writing a note or keeping in touch, but I think this still works.

I found some papers from Authentique - Flourish which remind me of school binder paper so went with that along with one of the co-ordinating papers in the pack.  Taya's favourite colour is pink, so I had to make sure I had pink somewhere on my card.

Stamped Jayden onto some white courgar c/s and then coloured using prisma colour pencils and blended with gamsol.  For skin tones I used Copics - E000, E00, E01, E11, R20, R21.

MFT stitched rectangle was used to cut her out.  To finish off I added some white freckles on her cheeks using my white gel pen, some sequins, glitter to the icing on the cupcake, and some turquoise seam binding ribbon.

Taya loved the card, when she left yesterday from work she came down to tell me so! :) (Karen and I work for the same company - just one floor apart)!

Well, that's it for me today, I am actually working on some Christmas cards - can you believe it!
Enjoy your weekend, whatever it brings.  It's suppose to be a nice low 70 degree weekend with lots of sun.  Off to the trails we go!  See you soon,

Pauline

Happy for You

A few weeks ago, I was going through a bucket of images that I have previously stamped off, looking for something that would inspire me to colour! I was particularly looking for an image for one of our young contractors at work.  She is taking time off work to travel to Australia for a year - and she is traveling alone.  I don't think I would be that brave to venture afar alone! Well, I came across this image that was already coloured (bonus).  I believe I coloured this a few years back and just never made it to a card.  Well, now that I was ahead of the game, I proceeded to finish the card.

The image is from Stamping Bella, I believe this has been discontinued.  All papers are from one of the MME paper packs.  I did some layering and some stitching.  I found a sentiment that worked perfectly for the occasion.

Added some ribbon and sequins to finish off.

Wishing everyone a great weekend! See you again real soon.

Cosmobella 2.0

Good morning.  Hope your day is off to a wonderful start.  It's a beautiful summer day here in SW Ontario, no humidity today as was yesterday!

My daughter had asked me one evening last week if I had a birthday card for one of her co-workers (which she needed for the next day - nothing like thinking ahead - lol). Of course I had some 'flowery' cards already made, but that wasn't what she had in mind.  She asked me if I had some 'bella' girls and of course none done, so I pulled out some easier ones to colour, and gave her a choice of a couple of images (such a nice Mom eh?).  Karen picked Cosmobella 2.0.

I'm also using this card to enter into this weeks challenge over at Bloggabella.  By the inspiration piece Emily showed, I think these colours work!

I stamped her on cougar 100 lb white card stock using black memento and then coloured using copics.
Sorry didn't keep a list of colours, was in a hurry just to get this done.  Used prisma colour pencils for the ground area.  Found some scrap paper in my scrap bin to use for accent.

The sentiment was stamped using black versafine ink  then cut out using one of the flag dies from MFT die-namics blueprints #27.  I then layered this onto a piece of black card stock and trimmed around it.

To finish off I added some enamel dots.  I also used my Nuvo clear glitter pen and added sparkle to her white t-shirt - so pretty.

Well that's it for today folks, I wish you all a wonderful happy day! See you soon,

Pauline

Tiny Townie Garden Girl

Hello all!  Have you seen then new Tiny Townie Garden Girls released by Stamping Bella?  She has just released another 5, but the one I used today was from her previous release.  These girls are so adorable, and love how she created their clothing to represent the flower.

This is Tiny Townie Garden Girl Lily of the Valley,

I started by stamping her on white 100lb cougar cardstock using black memento ink, then used prismacolour pencils and blended with gamsol.

I used a PTI die set to cut her out as well as for my base card.  Die set is called - Noted: Scallop A2 Vertical die.  Designer paper is from Memory Box.

To finish off I cut out Simon Says Harrington Vine and then snipped part of it off to fit in the corner.
Added a small bow tied with silk ribbon, then added glitter to her dress and the lilies.

Have a wonderful day, and thanks for your visit.

Santa's speedy delivery

Hello everyone, are you still with me? Sorry for the lack of posts lately. Long days at work, lots of overtime due to year end which doesn't leave much time for card making. Basically I have run out of steam, and on top of that I feel like I have lost my mojo! I forced myself the other night to get a couple of images coloured up, maybe then the mojo will come back and I can finish my Christmas cards.  I'm so far behind in those, not sure if I'm going to send out cards to everyone, but I'll try.

One of the images I coloured up is Stamping Bella's - Santa's speedy delivery.

I coloured with prismacolour pencils and blended out with gamsol.  I used a square spellbinders nestability to cut him out.  I then placed the image in my Misti to stamp the  sentiment.  Sentiment is from Penny Black - holiday snippets.

All the papers were used from my scrap basket, so not sure of the designer of these.  I used MFT's stitched scallop basic edge for the green dp. Gold ribbon was added then added Santa on top. I added some white fun flock to Santa's coat and pompom and used a white gel pen to add a couple of dots to his cheek.   Next I added  some Stamping Bella - glitter dots.  Emily doesn't carry these anymore, but I have a whole collection in a variety of colours.

That does it for this post.  Time for bed - 5am comes early.  Thanks for stopping by, see you soon,

Pauline

Edna needs a Martini

Hello everyone! I think we all could use a Martini don't you think? Although I'm not much of a drinking, the occasional glass of wine is always good.

For my card today I have a Stamping Bella image - called Edna needs a Martini.

I just love the Edna series of images and they always have cute sentiments to go along with them.

I stamped her onto some cougar white c/s and used copics to colour. Used an MFT stitched rectangle to cut her out and then layered her onto some MME Hazel papers - Stella Rose.
I stamped the sentiment onto some white c/s using black versafine, then used a circle die to cut out and used one of the copic picks to go around the edge just to add a bit of colour.

To finish off I used wink of stella clear pen for her wings and added some clear sequins.

Supplies:
stamp - Stamping Bella - Edna needs a martini
ink- copics - E000, E00, E01, E11, E09, E29, E97,R20, R30, R32, R43, R56, R89, BG0000, BG000, BG34, BG57, Y0000, C0, C01, C02, C03, V0000
dies - MFT- stitched rectangle, spellbinders circle
paper - cougar white 100 lb, MME Hazel Papers - Stella rose, dust rose bazzill
mics - sequins, wink of stella clear pen

Just to answer Leslie's question on my last post:

Leslie, to answer your question about the fox.  We just happened to be driving along one of the trails to have a picnic lunch and he was right there in front of the car.  He ran across the road and into the forest but came back around behind the car and down towards the small river and Bill jumped out and took pictures.  Shortly after that we saw another one around the picnic tables - looking for nibbles - and again Bill had his camera waiting just in case we saw another.  But, yes Bill has a lot of patience when it comes to his photography.  He will sit for hours waiting if he knows something is in the area.

Heading off to work shortly, it's a gloomy rainy day.  Would much rather be home working on cards!
Enjoy your day,

Pauline

Stamping Bella sneak peak Day 7

Hi. I'm back today with another sneak peak to share with you. So what do you think so far?

Today, I'm introducing Chick and Snowman.

I used copics to colour this sweet little snowman.  I just love snowmen, I was so excited when Emily sent me this one to colour.

I used some scrap designer paper (polka dots), kraft, confetti red and white card stock.
Dies used are Simon Says stitched squares and Memory box - precious snowflakes.

I added lots of glitter, fun flock to the hats and a little gold ball on the bow of the snowflake.

Well that's it for me today.  Be sure to stop over at bloggabella and see the other sneak peaks. Be sure to leave a comment for a chance to win one of today's images.
And remember tomorrow Sept 3 is RELEASE DAY!  Do you have your shopping list ready?

Thanks for stopping by.  Enjoy your weekend.

Stamping Bella sneak peak Day 5

Welcome to day 5 of the sneak peaks. Are you enjoying all the sneak peaks so far! I'm loving them, so many fabulous images it's hard to pick my favourite.

One of the images for today's release is Skylar loves to skate.

I coloured her using prisma colour pencils and blended with gamsol.  I used copics for the skin tones.
I then cut her out using MFT - wonky stitched rectangles to cut her out.
Designer paper is Bo bunny - altitude collection, layered onto some dark purple bazzill card stock.

For the sentiment I printed it off using a laser printer, then added some silver foil over it and ran it through my Heidi Swapp Minc machine (love this machine)!

I die cut some snowflakes - Memory Box Christmas baubles,  using silver glitter paper. I cut a Memory Box frosty border from white card stock and just used a portion of it tucked under the bottom of the image.

Coloured the ice using wink of stella clear pen, and then added lots of glitter around Skylar using by quickie glue pen and hero arts primsa glitter.

Hope you liked today's sneak peak.  Be sure to check out the other sneak peaks over at Bloggabella and be sure to leave a comment for a chance to win one of today's images.

I"ll be back on Friday with another sneak peak to share.  Thanks for stopping by.

Stampiing Bella sneak peak Day 2

Hello everyone! I'm back to help out Emily with some sneak peaks for her upcoming release on Sept 3. There will be co-coordinating dies available with the images.  There will be Halloween, Fall & Christmas images.  You can read all about it here.

My card today is show casing one of the newest 2.0 Bella's - Christmas giftabella.

After printing her off, I used copics to colour.  I had a bronze/gold metallic frame already cut out on my desk, so decided to use that.  I sponged some distress antique linen around the outside edges to soften the white paper.  Matched up some dp - MME - Santa Claus.

I used Memory Box tiny poinsettia die to make the flower on the side.  Added some gold metallic thread behind.  I was going to use white flock for the trim on her dress but decided to go with the glitter instead.

Be sure to hope over to bloggabella to see what the bella babes have to share today. Be sure to leave a comment while you are there for a chance to win today's image.

I'll be back on Wednesday for another sneak peak.  See you then.  Thanks for stopping by.

Cakeabella 2.0

Hello everyone. Hope you are all having a good week.  Today is actually my Friday since I'm off work until Tuesday.  Just using up some vacation days!

After doing that huge card order - which most of them were done by stamping and die cutting rather than colouring, I was ready to sit down and colour something.

I pulled out my latest Stamping Bella order that I received over a month ago, just didn't have a chance to use them yet.  I decided on 'Cakeabella'.  I am so loving these new bella 2.0 images.  I have all the original stick figure bellas - still love those too, but there is just something about having actual arms, legs, face with features and lots of hair - so life like.

I stamped her onto some white cougar 100 lb card stock using memento black ink.  I used copics for the skin tones, then switched to prismacolour pencils for the rest.  After colouring her jeans I decided to paper piece her apron.  I rummaged through my scrap dp bucket and found some K & Co paper.  I then finished colouring her and then cut her out using MFT inside & out stitch round rectangle die.

I used fun foam cut slightly smaller than my image piece and adhered to the back.  For the sentiment - which comes with the set - I embossed it onto a strip of black cardstock using versamark and white embossing powder.  Cut one end to make a flag fishtale  end.

Because my scrap piece of dp was only just that - a scrap piece,  it wasn't large enough to cover the front of the card.  I decided to  use my MFT Homespun stitch lines die to do some piercing/stitching long the top of the card, and then rounded the right corner.

I wrapped some twine around the card 3 times then tied a bow over to the left.  Added my image  to the card and then adhered the sentiment.  Finished off with lots of glitter on the cake and 3 enamel dots.

So there you have it, a super fun birthday card.  See you soon, thanks for stopping by.

Pauline
