B-A-B-Y

Hello everyone, hope you had a good week.  It has been much cooler, it's like we are having fall weather, it's too early for this. Temperature this morning was 43F!, it was a cool run this morning, brrrrr.

Remember a few weeks ago, I mentioned I was going through some stamped off images, and found an image I had coloured but never made it onto a card, well....... here is another one.  I would say I coloured this about 6-7 years ago!  I was still designing for Stamping Bella at the time, and I remember colouring this when we were at  Linda Heavens (Lindabella) house along with Paula Williamson (Paulabella).  I guess I coloured it up and must of got tossed into this bucket of stamped off images.

In need of a baby card for my basket, I threw this together - yes exactly that because I had a piece of watercolour c/s that I made with some distress oxide inks (playing around one day), and it matched my image perfectly! Did some die cutting, added some lace, ribbon, button and a baby clothes die cut from Memory box and my card was done!  I used my Nuvo clear glitter pen and added some sparkle to the letters on the blocks, along with the stars &  heart on the clothes.

It sold today, so now I'm empty handed for a baby card once again!

I've had a couple of Christmas images coloured this week, but I've spent the last 3 nights stressing over on what papers and layout to use, so still nothing completed on these.  Do you ever had times like this?  so frustrating!

Thanks for your visit, enjoy your weekend, an extra long one for me, I'm off until Wednesday! Woohoo!

Lucky Day

Hi everyone!  What a hectic week it's been, so glad it's the weekend, and actually I'm off Monday, so it's a three day weekend!

A friend had asked me to make her a St. Patrick's day card, which I usually do every year for her to mail to one of her friends.  I have very limited stamps for St. Patrick day, but this particular one I haven't used in a number of years (actually I forgot I even had it - I guess that's what happens when you have too many stamps!).  I'm using a House Mouse image called - Lucky Day.

Rather than just make a plain ole' card I made my first 'shaker card'!

I started with the background.  I am so addicted to do the colour wash on water colour paper.  I just love this technique and you never get the same look twice! After doing the wash and letting it dry, I cut it out using a stitched rectangle die from MFT.

I stamped the image onto some white cougar c/s and used copics to colour.  This was then cut out using a circle s/b die.  To do the border I used a larger scallop circle die and also a circle die one size smaller than the circle die I used for the image.  I cut a piece of acetate and glued this to the back of the scallop border, then cut some foam tape and added it along the border. I then glued the image to my water colour background, added some sequins ( I really need to get some shaker card fillings) to the center of the image, then took the frame and laid it over the image.  Pressed down firmly to make sure the tape adhered. And there you go - my first shaker card!!

I added a couple of different colours of twine to finish this off.

Supplies:
image - House Mouse - Lucky day
ink - black memento, copics - YG01,YG06, YG09, YG25, YG61, YG93, E51, R20, E31, E33, V05, V09, distress inks - forest moss, twisted citron, lucky clover, shabby shutters
paper - Tim Holtz water colour, white cougar 100 lb, dark green, acetate
dies - spellbinder, - circle & scallop circle, MFT - stitched rectangle
misc - sequins, twine, foam tape

Have a wonderful day, and thanks for stopping by.

Another House Mouse Card

Happy Wednesday!  Today I'm back with another House Mouse image to share  with you.  These are fun images to color. I made this card for a friend who loves House Mouse images.

Here are the deets for my card: I started by stamping the image with Black Memento, and colored with prismacolor pencils and gamsol. I used labels #5 to cut out the image and labels #9 for the turquoise layer behind.  I also used Martha Stewart border punch, and a Pierceabilities border.  Finished it up with some papertrey pink satin ribbon.
Did you notice that I even did some stitching around my card with my sewing machine? I like the look it gives, just kind of finishes off the card.

I'll be back on friday with my next entry for the Stamping Bella DT Challenge.  Hope to see you then!

You're Tea-riffic

Hi Everyone! Hope everyone had a great weekend.  I spent Saturday in Novi MI, at the Heirloom Rubber Stamping show.  What great fun we all had.  I went with my friend Lynn and met up with Lindabella, Paulabella, Mary, Kathy, and met Paula's friend Cathy (Hi Cathy!), she is such a wonderful gal.  Bought way too much stuff as usual, so hope to share some of my new goodies in up coming posts.

Anyhoo, on with my card. For today's card I am using one of the many House Mouse images I have.  I stamped the mouse using black memento and colored with Prismacolor pencils and gamsol.
The sentiment is from Stamping Bella as well as the baubles.  Pattern paper is from the Basic Grey Two Scoops 6x6 pad. I used my nifty bow maker to make the perfect bow (love this little gadget!) and I even did a bit of stitching on the card as well!

That's it for today folks.... back later this week with my next Stamping Bella challenge card.
