Final Bella post and beautiful storm skies

Hi everyone, happy Wednesday.  Well I must say the past 2 months have flown by so fast, I can't believe this will be my last Stamping Bella guest designer post.

First - for my post today I'm using Mason Jar of flowers - very fitting for me because as you know how much I love flowers.

I stamped the image onto some cold press canson watercolour 140lb paper using black memento. I used my Zig  clean colour makers to colour.

Paper is from Memory Box.  I used spellbinders A2 curved borders for the  edge of the strip paper.
I added wink of stella clear pen to the flowers and water. Added dry glitter around the flowers and also some rhinestones on the frame and center of bow.

Supplies:
stamp - stamping bella - mason jar of flowers
ink - black memento, zig clean colour markers
dies - spellbinder - oval, floral ovals, A2 curved borders one
paper - canson water colour 140 lb, dark purple bazzill, white cougar, Memory box DP
misc - rhinestones, wink of stella pen, water brush, hero arts glitter, quickie glue pen

Secondly, on Sunday night we had some really bad storms go through  around 8:30- 9 pm. This was due to very high temps all day, lots of humidity, feeling like over 100F.  It lasted for about 1/2 hour or so, it was really dark, heavy, heavy rains, you could barely see outside it was coming down so hard,  and strong winds. When it was over, I was sitting in my craft room, looked outside and it was like it was 2:00 in the afternoon. It was so bright - looking out to the East you could see blue skies and sun - it was very strange have it that bright  at 9:30 pm.  I grabbed my camera - a little sony point and shoot and these are the pictures I took.  They are all tree top/roof top pictures to capture the skies. Over the span of about 10 minutes the colours varied as you can see below. The colours were so vibrant.  I didn't not touch up the colours, what you see is exactly what I took.  It was really amazing!

Thanks for you visit today. Have a wonderful day!

Enjoy the ride

Hi everyone.  I hope you are enjoying your weekend.

For my card to day I have an Art Impression image to share.  I borrowed this set from a dear friend of mine.  These images are always so fun to colour.  I tied to google the set but I couldn't find it on the AI site and there was no name on the package.

After stamping her on some white cougar c/s, I used copics to colour.  I then used stitched circle die to cut her out and then layered her onto some red card stock cut using the circle blossom die. I used Martha Stewart's border punch for the yellow strip under the ribbon.

Designer papers used are from MME - Tangerine.  To finish off the card I used some sequins and some yellow seam binding ribbon.

Supplies:
stamp - AI
ink - black memento, copics - E000, E00, E01, E11, R20, R21, R 01, R105, R12, R14, R17, E41, E40, E42, 471, Y11, Y13, Y15, YG11
dies - sb round blossom - simon says - stitched circles
paper - cougar white 100 lb, red, SU baked brown sugar, MME - tangerine
misc - sequins, seam binding ribbon, Martha Stewart border punch

Thanks for stopping by today.  I'll see you on Wednesday for my last Stamping Bella post as a guest designer.

So this is my last sneak peak for this release, and I have a wobble image to share.  This is
sleepy wobble - so darn cute!

I used copics to colour and then cut it out using MFT inside & out round rectangle.  Designer paper was just a scrap from my scrap basket.

I cut out a couple of stars from the same designer paper, added some enamel dots and some wink of stella clear pen to the pink stripes and pompom.

Well that's it for me, be sure to hop over to bloggabella and leave a comment for a change to win today's images.

Sneak Peak - Bella 2.0 Spabella

Well here I am  again, back with another Stamping Bella sneak peak.  Be sure to stop over at Bloggabella to see the other gorgeous sneak peaks.  Leave a comment for a chance to win the sneak peak stamp of the day.

One of today's sneak peak images is Spabella!

I started out by making my background paper using watercolour paper and my Gunsai Tambi paints.
I know I wanted to make spabella in a purple robe, so I went with purples and added some green. Unfortunately, most of the green is under spabella, so you can't see much of the green paint.

I coloured her using copics, then cut her out using Memory Box - pinpoint mainstreet tags.
Spabella also comes with her own sentiment, which I added along the left side. I cut a piece of green cardstock using an MFT doily die, cut in half and layered it under the image.

Finished off with lots of sequins.

Supplies:
image - Stamping Bella - Bella 2.0 Spabella
ink - copics- E000, E00, E01, E11, E20, E21, YG01, YG03, V01, V12, V15, YR00
dies - Memory Box - pinpoint mainstreet tags, MFT doily, MFT stitched rectangle
paper - cougar 100lb white c/s, TH water colour, green, dark purple
misc - sequins

That's it for me today, I'll be back with another sneak peak on Friday, see you then!

So excited to be posting today.  I'm sharing a sneak peak for Emily's upcoming release over at Stamping Bella - yup another huge release and you are going to love it. Emily is celebrating 10 yrs in business, I'm so excited for her! You will be able to purchase her new release on June 25! I still remember the first time I went to Bella land up in Thornhill ON, some 9 or 10 years ago, along with Lindabella and Paulabella.  It was amazing!

I'm sure you have seen the sneak peaks from the last couple of days right? If not - hop over to bloggabella and check it out. Be sure to leave comments each day of the sneak peaks to have a chance to win the release stamp for that day.

Without further ado here is my card today.  Today I am showcasing Bella 2.0- Flowers behind my back.

Isn't she gorgeous! I'm in love with these Bella 2.0. So nice to have facial features, arms, legs and hair - LOL.  They sure have come a long way from the stick figures - but those were amazing as well!

Okay enough of that, lets get on with how I made the card.  I coloured her using copics, then cut her out using spellbinders Labels Twenty-eight. For my card base I used spellbinders A2 Devine Eleoquence - (one of my fav dies).

I added some blue silk ribbon, pearls and lots of glitter (glitter ritz) to finish this off.

Supplies:
stamp - Stamping Bella - Bella 2.0 - flowers behind my back
dies - spellbinder - labels twenty - eight, A2 Devine Elequence
ink - copics - E000, E00, E01, E11, R20, R21, R22,, E23, E25, E27, E15, E09, E79, BG000, BG01, Y02, Y19, Y38, V01, V04, RV14, RV13, TG01

I'll always have your back

Hello everyone.  Another crazy busy week it's been!

It's Wednesday, and you know what that means? Yep, another Stamping Bella post. Today's card is featuring a sweet image from the Stuffie collection called "I'll always have your back".

I stamped the image onto some cougar white 100lb cardstock using black memento, then coloured using prisma pencils.  I didn't keep track of the pencils I used, but I do know that I used the cool grey colours 20%, 30% 50% & 70%, lime peel for the grass and the flowers I used some yellows a purples.

I cut a frame using PTI - Pretty Frame die and just used the inside piece.  I cut my image slightly smaller than the frame, added some pop dots behind the frame to pop it up off the image.

Designer paper is from MFT - Tranquil textures.  I made a little flag tag for the upper corner, added a pop dot behind it so it would lay evenly, then added a little bow using silk ribbon and my easy bow maker.

To finish off I added wink of stella clear pen to the flower and pearls around the frame.

I was going to use the sentiment that came with the set, but opt not to at this time. I could always use it for the inside if I choose.

I appreciate you stopping in for a visit today.  I'll have some new birding photo's in my next post.

On a happy note - wedding invitations are complete - yah!!!

Enjoy your day!

Spring Ducks and more

As I was going through our bird pictures from May to post, I realized I never posted these guys.
These were take at High Park in Toronto back in April.

One of Bill's favourite  - Wood duck.  These guys are not shy at all, I think they are so use to having people around in the park, they jumped up beside me as I was sitting on the ledge overlooking the ponds.

Finally after a several years of trying to get the Hooded Mergansers, there were  3 pairs at High Park.  This was the highlight of the day!

Next, is a pair of breeding Cooper Hawks. Look at those talons!

A pair of owlets - Great Horned
Isn't this one just adorable?
There are so many more to share, but I'm trying to do them in groups of when we took the pictures.
I hope you enjoyed these. Back with more shortly.

Live every day....

....like it's your birthday!

Hello everyone! Yes, it's Wednesday again, which means  another Bella card.  It's been one crazy busy week, hence no postings.  I'm working on cards as well as my sons wedding invitations, so a couple more weeks and they should be done, which will  open more spare time for card making.

Today's card I'm using another Edna image - Edna with a cupcake on top.  I love these gals and they are so fun to colour!

I stamped her onto some white cougar 100 lb card stock then coloured using copics. For the curved side I used a die from Simon Says called A2 card curved edge, then layered it onto a piece of PTI paper and cut  the one side with the curve border as well.

Designer paper is Crate paper - confetti.  I didn't really have a spot to add a sentiment at least not the one that comes with the set - but I stamped that inside the card - it says - live every day like it's your birthday.  For the front of the card I sniped a slim piece of the confetti paper (backside has birthday wishes in small script)  and glued it to the left side of the image.

Finished off with enamel dots, wink of stella clear pen and some  twine. I just love how this turned out!

Bill is getting some photo's ready for me to post, so stay tuned over the next couple of days for that.

Thanks for your visit today. Have a wonderful day.

Uptown girl Bailey

Gosh, I can't believe that it is Wednesday again, and not only that but June 1! Where does the time go?

Today I have an Uptown girl to share with you.  This is Uptown girl Bailey has a baby

I stamped her onto some cougar white c/s then coloured with prisma pencils.  I thought I wrote all the colours down but I don't even see anything in my book about this card!

I used MFT stitched rectangle to cut her out, then layered it onto a piece of aqua mist c/s.
The scallop border is from PTI - cover plate pretty frame die - this is the outer edge I used.

Designer paper is Lawn Fawn - perfectly plaid.

Finished off with some enamel dots.  How cut is she? Love her.

Thanks for your visit today.   Have a great day.
