Be my Valentine

Hi everyone.  Hope you had a good weekend.

Today, I have another Valentine card to share, this one is more on the 'masculine' side.

I started off by hot foiling the background using bronze foil and The Greetery - Deco Triangles Hot foil plate onto some kraft cardstock.  I then stamped one of the sentiments from Pretty Postmarks in a kraft ink, then splattered with Tim Holtz holiday mica stain - Peppermint Stick.

The wood heart slice die is also from The Greetery, cut it once from dark brown and once from kraft.  On the kraft piece I sponged some distress oxide walnut stain around the edges. Love is also from the Greetery, cut 2 times and adhered together.  I die cut some red hearts and then adhered them to the card.

Finished off with some gold pearls, some small black hearts from Trinity Stamps and a little twine bow on the 'love'

Thank you for stopping by today.  Have yourself a wonderful day!

Little birdie - Love you

I'm back today to share another Valentines Card.  I just happened to be on the Etsy site - All Dressed Up to check out what was new in the digi world and came across a couple of images I just had to have.  One of the reasons I love All Dressed up digi's is that the outlines of the images are very fine.  I'm not a big fan of bold chunky outlines.

I love the whimsical look of this, and it was fun to colour!

As I was colouring this I had in my mind how I wanted the finished card to look.  Well that did happen. But nevertheless I still love it.

I used MFT stitched clouds to cut the top of the image.  The row of hearts along the bottom is a die from Papertrey Ink. The background was sponged using distress ink Salty Ocean.

For finishing touches I added 3 enamel hearts from Doodlebug, and Nuvo clear  glitter pen to the flowers.

I appreciate your visit today.  Wishing your a wonderful weekend! (Today is my Friday as I am off tomorrow - yay 3 day weekend, gotta love it!)

Love... with all my heart

Happy Valentine's Day!

Today's card is one I made for my BFF's (Nancy)  husband to give to her.  I was going to post it earlier today, but thought if she hadn't received it yet, I didn't want to spoil her surprise.  But.... she received it this morning :).

I had fun making this one.  Not a whole lot of explaining on this one as you can see, mostly die cuts, so I will just list the supplies below.

Supplies:
Paper - Glitz paperpack - Pretty in Pink, white, bazzill pink, gold mirror paper
Die - PTI Shape Shifter Oval #4, Heart dies, SSS Love Die
Ink - black versafine, PTI - pale peony (sponged ink behind the hearts)
Stamp - PTI - From the Heart set
Misc - sequins, washi tape, ribbon, flowers, and lace

Wishing you a lovely day!

Brief is love but....

Well good morning everyone!  I'm sorry I haven't posted all week.  I think my mojo left me again.  As much as I wanted to stamp & colour I just  couldn't find it in me to do it.  So this morning I was up bright and early 6:20, grabbed a coffee and decided I was going to make a card before heading off to church.

I wanted to make a Valentine card for my son Mark and fiancee Anna.  I pulled out some Verve stamps and dies and went to town.  I found a sketch layout to use and this is what I came up with.
I had this done in 20 min!

Sentiment is from Verve - stronger love which was stamped in black versafine ink.  I used the rounded scallop frame from Verve, cut it out twice, once using dp, and once on cream c/s.   I replaced the center part of the dp and put in the cream and stamped my sentiment on that.

Flag stax is a MFT die, and the scallop border on top is a spellbinder die.

To finish this off I used my wink of stella pen to go around the edges of the cream sentiment where it inlays to the scallop border, cut some leaves from vellum, a couple of hearts, then added some sequins, a glittery enamel dot then tied some seam binding ribbon around the top to pull this all together.

There you have it 20 min from start to finish! Inside the card I stamped Happy Valentines Day!

supplies:
stamps - Verve - stronger love
ink - black versafine
paper - crate - fourteen, cream, scraps of red and dark pink, PTI vellum
dies - Verve - rounded scallop frame, from the heart (for the small hearts), sprightly springs (vellum leaves), spellbinder A2 bracket borders one, MFT flag stax dies
misc - wink of stella clear pen, sequins, enamel dot, seam binding ribbon

Thanks for your visit today.  I'm hoping this quick card got my 'mojo' going again. Have a wonderful day!
