Well, back to work I go today but I took friday off so have another 4 day weekend coming up! woohoo.
While I was off I colored up Hollyhock Bittybloom. Now wasn't all that sure what color hollyhocks were, so googled and to my surprise they come in a variety of colors.
I stamped her on bella's bestest paper and colored her using my Caran d'Ache pencils and blended out with gamsol. I started out with a nice soft yellow dress, but as I kept adding color to shade with, it turned out to be more of an orangey tone rather than just soft yellow, but I love how it turned out. I sponged some versamagic sea breeze ink around the image. DP I'm using is from Memory Box - paper is so pretty almost hated to use it!
Finished up the card with some pretty pink satin ribbon and lots of glitter!
Thanks for stopping by, see you again soon....

The same but different
Since I'm still enjoying my last day off before returning back to work for a couple of days on wed and thurs, I thought I would take a break from coloring and do some real stamping. When I was at Archivers a couple of weeks ago, I picked up the new Hero Arts catalog. I find their cards are fairly simple - not a lot of layers, ribbons, embellishments etc, but they do have some good ideas.
So with saying that, I saw this idea for a Sympathy card. Although this type of card is the least favourite we like to make, it seems these kind are the first to sell from my card baskets.
These worked up fairly fast as well. The background was done with distress inks as well as the leaf stamp. After stamping I trimmed up the image, then went around the edge with my gold kylon marker, then layered it onto a piece of cream. No glitter required for these cards but I thought it needed something, so I added a little bow using my bow maker (love that little tool!).
That's it for today.... back tomorrow with a Bella card... and she is cute!!!

Happy Birthday to Me!
Yep, today's my birthday. So in honor of this special day I thought I would make myself a birthday card! lol, plus I needed a card to post so killing two birds with one stone as the saying goes. So do I feel any older? No! Do I feel any fatter? Yep! Too much food over the last week, and today I have a home made carrot cake with cream cheese icing, and this is not a WW friendly cake.
Okay, on with my card. I have loved this cute image ever since it was released but just never had a chance to color her up. It's a Stamping Bella image called
Little Peeps Birthday Cake.
So what do you think, cute eh? I stamped her on bella's bestest paper and colored her up with pencils, not my prismacolor pencils but my new Caran d'Ache pencils!! OMG I love them, the color choices you have and they color and blend so smoothly! So, back to the card - used my oval s/binder die to cut out the image as well as the scallop layer. I left the die in place and sponged some spring pansy versamagic ink around the image, stitched around the oval, then layered this onto some pretty papers by Memory Box. Of course, had to use a Martha Stewart border punch - vintage floral as well. To finish it off I used some glossy accents for the flame on the candles, pearls for the flowers and of course glitter. And... did you notice my 'watermark'? Pretty cool eh? no I didn't do it, my son Mark did it for me yesterday.
Well, that's it for me for today. Think I will go for a much needed walk - the wind is very cold, but the sun is shining so brightly.
Have a great day everyone. Till next time....

Christmas Peeps!
I had great intentions of posting this yesterday, but it just never happened. Too many things to get done before Christmas. But I will say, that all the presents are wrapped, and groceries bought. The only thing left to do is house clean - yuck, but that's today's job. I work until noon, then home I go to tackle the house.
Mark (my son) is coming home late afternoon to spend a few days, then back to London he goes, to finish up his Co-op program next week, then next semester (January) he is back to Fanshaw for his last year.
So for my card, I had this image colored up for quite a while - like a month or so- but just never did anything with it. Thought best I make it into a card. I share with you today Christmas Peeps, by Stamping Bella.
As always, I stamped with black memento on bella's bestest paper and colored it with prismacolor pencils and blended with gamsol. I always liked the way Paula rounds her corners on some of her images, so thought I would do that with this one. Before stitching around the image, I did some sponging with Antique Linen distress ink. DP is from the Snowy Day 6x6 collection by Crate Paper. Added glitter to the tree and glossy accents to the balls. Used some white flower soft for the snow under the little Peeps feet!
Well, that's it for me for a few days. I hope to get some coloring down while off work until next wedesday, so will have some new cards to share.
I wish you all a very Merry Christmas, and may the holidays bring wonderful memories as you spend with your loved ones.
See you soon..... Pauline.

Minty Coffee Anyone?
I must say my Christmas card making for this year is slowly winding down. I finished my last card to mail out last night, but I still want to make a few more so I can put them away for next year. I always think I have lots of time to get all my cards done, but I never do.
For today's card I have Minty Coffee. I colored this with my pencils and gamsol. Used the spellbinder dies to cut out the circle as well as the red layer underneath.
DP paper is last years Basic Grey - Wassail.
I used a couple of Papertrey dies for my scallops and the green circle chain. Also added some glitter to the leaves, candy cane and the swirls of steam, and glossy accents to the leaves.
I will be back later in the week with another card to share with you, till then...

Last challenge of the year
Friday once again, which means another Bellariffic challenge - actually it's our last one of the year. Yep, another year has come and gone - like where did that go?
This weeks challenge is a sketch. Now I know how much everyone likes sketches, so I made this one pretty easy for ya! I hope you had a chance to play along.
I am using Penguin with Gift by Mo available in rubber at Stamping Bella! I loved this guy since the first time I saw him. This is the first time I've had a chance to color him up.
As usual I stamped him on bellas' bestest paper and colored him up with my prismacolor pencils and blended with gamsol. I layered him on some dk grey and green c/s and stitched around the edge. I did sponge around the edges with some aloe vera versamagic but doesn't seem to show up in the picture. The DP paper is from Fancy Pants called Tradition. I love this paper (okay what papers don't I love?!!). And did you notice the border punch I used? Yes, it has penguins on it, now how stinkin cute is that? Of course, my sketch called for a sentiment, so I pulled out Merry Christmas - which fit perfectly into my slender oval s/binder die. To finish off the card I added glitter to him, and that's it!
I wish I would of made this card up a month or so ago, then I would of made a bunch of these to send out this year. Oh well, maybe I'll do some over the winter for my stash next year - always gotta think ahead!
Well folks, that's it for the challenges this year. We will start up again, with our first challenge being January 14, 2011! Not sure what the challenge will be, but we will keep you posted.
If you would like to see what the other babes and peeps did for this challenge, hop on over to Bloggabella and have a peek.
Off to my sister's for our Christmas get-together tonight.
Have a great weekend everyone! till next time....

Something different.....
being something other than a Christmas card. No I'm not done all my Christmas cards, but needed to make a birthday card. I have 5 birthday cards to make in the month of december, on top of all my christmas cards, yikes - a very busy month to say the least.
I wanted to do something really pretty, something with flowers, so looking through my bella binders came across Dandelion Wisps.
I started out by embossing the dandelion with white embossing powder on watercolor paper. I then spritzed the paper with some water. On my teflon mat (or you could use wax paper) I rubbed some distress inks ( I used peeled paint, dusty concord, and broken china) and then spritzed it until it beaded up. I then layed my image face down in the ink, pressed down all over then turned it over, sprinked some salt on it, then took my heat gun and dried it. The salt will rub off when it's dry. The salt kind of gives it that molted look.
I then used my hexagon s/binder dies
to cut out the image as well as the scallop hexagon in white. Now doing this without any papers in mind (only because I know the recipient loves these colors) I wasn't sure what I was going to use. I tried plain c/s but did nothing for this image. Ah! then I remembered this paper pack I bought back in late summer called Fairy Flora by Prima- this paper is a must have - so many beautiful floral patterns and colors- they are so pretty I almost didn't want to use it but hey, you get 4 of each pattern, so I still have some left (hehe- I'm a paper hoarder I tell you!). Okay sorry, back to the card - so from there it all came together.
I also used my new MS border punch.
Finished it up with a bit of glitter on the dandelion and a bow. Overall a pretty simple card.
So tonight hubs and I are going out for dinner at Mama Maria's to celebrate our Anniversary - #31! Where do the years go?.
Also, don't forget to participate in our last bellariffic challenge of the year.
It's a sketch challenge. Send your card to Em by thursday night for a chance to win some bella bucks.
See you on friday!

This & That and Bismark
Happy Monday! How was everyone's weekend? Busy I'm sure, as was mine.
On saturday night we had our choir's potluck Christmas party. Fabulous food and lots of laughter. Yesterday we had our Christmas Cantata at Church, it was wonderful. We had 23 choir members. It took many hours of practice but it was so worth it.
So lets get to today's card. I share with you Bismark.
Bismark was stamped using black memento ink on bella's bestest paper, and colored with my prismacolor pencils and blended with gamsol. I based my colors on my background paper from SEI called winter song. This paper has glitter all over it, so pretty in real life. I used by s/binder dies to cut out my layers, did some stitching around the image as well as around the dp paper.
Finished it up with some white flock on the hat and some glamour dust glitter on the scarf and bow.
And there you have it, he is cute eh? Well this card already has a home, going out in the mail tomorrow.
Don't forget about our last bellariffic challenge for this year. We will be taking some time off over the holidays, then we will return to the challenge's on January 14/11. This weeks sketch challenge is by Me! Hope you can play along, if so please email Emily your card by thursday night. Here is the sketch:

Gift Card
It's friday again (woohoo!) which means another bellariffic friday challenge. This weeks challenge was to make a gift or a gift card. I chose the gift card.
For the image on my card I used Gifty Tree (how appropriate eh, just realized the name now as I'm typing this post - hehe!).
I colored up gifty tree using my pencils on
bella's bestest paper. Used an oval s/binder die to cut it out, left the die on and sponged some wheat versamagic ink around the image (doesn't show up very well in the picture). Next layered the image on some red c/s. DP used is some new paper from Echo Park called Merry Christmas. I thought I should have a sentiment on the front so I used Happy Holidays.
Finished it up with some glitter, ribbon, button and some clear glaze on the christmas balls.
For the inside of the card I adhered a piece of red scallop behind the green polka dot DP paper and glued to the inside of the card along 3 sides.
Then slipped my Tim Horton's gift card into the pocket.
Here is the inside of my card:
Next weeks challenge will be the last one for this year (wow- where did this year go?) we have another sketch for you. The sketch this time was done my ME! It's a pretty simple layout, so hope you can all play along.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Lulu's Ornaments
I have another Christmas card to share with you. Now before I get into the deets on my card, I must say that my card today was inspired by this card Lindabella did.
I'm using Lulu's Ornaments which was released in last month.
I stamped the ornaments on bella's bestest paper using black memento ink. Colored it up with my prismacolor pencils. After cutting it our with my s/binder square die I left it on and sponged some antique linen distress ink inside the die area.
I pulled out my Tim Holtz bracket die and cut a piece of brown c/s with it - which I used across the top of the ornaments. DP paper is from a 6x6 pk of Basic Grey Jovial. I added some glitter to the ornaments as well as some clear glaze (using my glaze pen) on the center knots on the bows as well as the light green centers on the green ornaments. Finishing touches - gold and turquoise ribbon, and a turquoise rhinestone. So what do you think - too much with the ornament paper- does it look too busy? I tried plain cardstock, but it was just too plain. Oh well, it's done and going in the mail this weekend.
Also, Emily surprised us with another release today. This time 3 new Bella stamps. You can check it out here. They are a must have!
And this friday's bellariffic challenge is A GIFT/OR GIFT CARD. You still have time to email Emily your entry. Send it to her by tomorrow night, there is some bella bucks up for grabs.
Back on friday with my challenge card. See you then!

Mojo Monday and a card
I don't usually play along with various sketch challenges that are out there, not because I don't like to but mostly because I don't have the time. But tonight I needed to get some more Christmas cards done so I came across Verve's Mojo Monday and new it would work perfectly with what I had in mind.
My card today uses Stamping Bella's Snowman Circle.
Image was stamped on bella's bestest paper and colored with prismacolor pencils and blended with gamsol. I cut the image freehand just inside the black circle then layered him onto some pink, green and turquoise paper cut out with some s/binder dies. The DP paper is from last years Basic Grey line called Eskimo Kisses.
Next I stamped the sentiment Let it Snow using black memento ink, onto a piece of Eskimo Kisses. Ribbon is from Papertrey - love the richness of this color.
Finishing touches - 3 turquoise rhinestones, glitter on the snowflakes and I applied some white flock to the ground area.
Okay, well that's it for this time, off to make another card. See you soon.

A bit of snow
Ah, Friday at last, which means another Bellariffic challenge. This weeks theme is snow - pretty simple eh?
The Stamping Bella image I used is called Door with Wreath by Mo! I can tell you this was a very fast and simple image to color up, it took me twice as long to come up with the layout.
Isn't it pretty? I just love it. Love the white space around the door, just so crisp and clean looking.
Okay onto the card - as usual I stamped with black memento ink on
bella's bestest paper and colored with prismacolor pencils and blended with gamsol. After cutting it down to size I layered it on to some light blue and dark grey bazzill c/s and then stitched around the edge. The DP paper is from Memory Box - Dewfrost collection- I think it was from last year. For the snow I added some liquid applique and sprinkled glitter on it while it was wet. I did not heat set it this time. I didn't want the snow to be too puffy, so just left it as is. I also added some small little dots of liquid applique on the wreath - hard to see in the picture though and added some glitter as well.
Finished it all with a piece of dark teal satin ribbon.
Next's week bellariffic challenge theme is Giftabella - make a gift or a gift card.
Email your card/project to Emily by thursday night for a chance to win some bella bucks!

cosmo girl
Seems like forever since I colored up a Bella, so with a friends birthday in mind in a few weeks I decided to color up Cosmobella. This was one of the very first bellas I bought way back when.
I stamped Ms. Cosmo on bella's bestest paper and colored her up with my trusty prismacolor pencils. DP paper is last years Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses. I used a SU border punch on the white c/s. Added a bit of glitter to her drink, then finished up with some soft blue chiffon ribbon and a blue pearl brad. Now the blue border around cosmo and her pants are not really that bright of a blue IRL.
For those who love to play along in our friday bellariffic challenges, this weeks challenge is 'snow on a card'! Now how easy is that. Submit your card to Emily by thursday night.
Thanks for stopping by, see you on friday.

three little christmas trees
Hi - this is a quick post tonight - I'm short on time!
I'm sharing with you today a Stamping Bella image called
Three Little Christmas Trees.
Now these are not your usual Christmas colors, but I'm in love with this paper from Bo Bunny - love the purples, greens and blues, so thought I would color up this image to match.
I stamped it on bella's bestest paper and colored with my prisma colors pencils and gamsol. I guess I should of broke in my new Caran d'Ache pencils that I got this weekend, but didn't think about it until I already started to color this.
Stamped Happy Holidays and cut it out using a s/binder ribbon tag and ran some dk turquoise ribbon thru it.
Finished it off with some glitter on trees one and three and for the middle tree I used white liquid pearls on the little dots, glossy accents on the green circles and glitter on the larger circles.
Thanks for peeking in, see ya soon!

Finished it off with some glitter on trees one and three and for the middle tree I used white liquid pearls on the little dots, glossy accents on the green circles and glitter on the larger circles.
Thanks for peeking in, see ya soon!

White Challenge
When I found out that this weeks challenge was a 'white' theme, I cringed. I thought to myself, "What, no colorful ribbon and dp papers, is that possible to make a card without all the good stuff"?
When I finished this card the other night I was quite pleased with how it all turned out. I decided to use Minty Wreath.
I didn't want to use the tradition red and green, so I went shades of and went with something not so vivid. Good choice? I don't know, but I like it.
Stamped image using black memento ink and colored with prismacolor pencils and gamsol. The wreath was cut out using a circle die, and I used the lacey circle die for the layer underneath. I used my embossing folder called Seasons greetings for the square piece underneath the lacey circle. Putting the card together it looked kind of bare, so got out a bunch of my punches and started experimenting with them. Didn't like the look of c/s so dug out my heavier weight vellum and tried that - much better! So that's what I went with.
Popped the wreath up with dimensionals, added glitter to the wreath along with some white liquid pearls. Finished it with a white satin bow.
This worked up fairly fast, I think I need to make some more of these for my Christmas cards this year!
If you want to see what the other babes did for this challenge hop over to
Bloggabella and check it out.
Since we are into the winter season, next weeks challenge is "snow on a card".
Sounds easy peasy doesn't it? Email Em your card by thursday night to be included in next weeks draw for some bella bucks!
Also, for all you peeps who love a great deal check this out, Emily is having a Black Friday/Thanksgiving sale:
for EVERY order OVER $50 you will receive 5 free stamps (we choose) included in your order!! The retail value can be up to $50! all for FREEEE! Sale lasts until Monday!!! Woohoo!!!
Have a good weekend everyone, and thanks for stopping by.

Holly in Jar
I'm back today with another Christmas card to share with you.
Today I have Holly in Jar.
As usual, I stamped the holly on bella's bestest paper and colored with prisma colour pencils. Since this was a simple design I wanted to keep the card that way.
I cut out the design with my octagon s/binder die, left the die on and did some shading around the design using aloe vera versamagic ink. Next I layered it on some Bo Bunny Olive Dot c/s. The DP paper is from a 6x6 pack of Basic Grey Wassail.
Finished off with some stitching, ribbon, glitter and white liquid pearl.
Just a reminder you still have time to submit your card to Emily for this weeks 'white theme" bellariffic challenge. I'm usually ahead of the game but not this week, so I best be working on my 'white' card as well.
For our fellow American's - wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving!
See you on Friday!

Verve sketch, and a Car with a Tree on Top
Happy Monday (not!) I sure could of used another day off! Why is it that weekends fly by but the work week does not? I did manage to get another card order off my list of things to do - so down to one more order- hope to get it done this week.
Today's card I'm using a cute image called Car with a tree on top. I remember my childhood days when we use to go out to the tree farm to pick that perfect tree. Dad would tie the tree on the roof of the car just like in this image.
I came across a sketch from Verve from a while back and thought it would work perfectly. So found some scrap pieces in my container and from there I chose my colors.
Image was stamped on bella's bestest paper with black memento ink and colored with prismacolor pencils and gamsol. Cut out image with my square s/binder die, and used my MFT die to cut the scallop brown border (sorry looks black in the picture).
I added some white flock along the roadway to look like snow, wasn't quite happy with they way it looked so added some glitter. Also added some glitter to the star and clear glaze to the balls on the tree. Used a piece of red ric rac topped with a turquoise button threaded with some brown/white Jillibean soup twine.
Now don't forget about the challenge this friday. It's a WHITE card. The only thing that has color is the image. You have until thursday evening to email this over to Emily.
Thanks for stopping by, see you soon.

Birds on a Branch
Hi everyone, happy Saturday! I just love saturdays. I get up nice and early( 6ish), turn on my computer, grab a cup of coffee (with hazelnut cream - mmmmm good) and browse through my google reader to see all the new postings.
Now today, I have a busy schedule - its called card making day. I have a few card orders left and I must get them done this weekend, so that is my plan ( but then again things don't always go according to plan). My son Mark is coming home today -he is in school in London, but comes home most saturdays - you know to get laundry done, and have a nice home cooked meal- things that Mom's do best!
So on to today's card. I meant to post this on wednesday, and completely forgot, just too many other things on the go. Here we have:
Merry Christmas branch with birdies!
I started with bella's bestest paper and stamped used black memento. Colored using my prismacolor and gamsol. (so can't wait until next weekend to pick up my Caran d'Ache pencils). Cut out the image with my long rectangle nesties, did some shading while the die was in place using Aloe vera versamagic ink. DP paper is from Kaisercraft - Belle collection - i think this was last years.
I also am using my new die from MFT. I've wanted this die since it came out, so broke down and bought it a few weeks ago. The ribbon is dark burgundy, but looks black in the photo - that is a hard color to capture. Added some glitter on the branches and on the words, along with a couple of diamond ice baubles.
Better keep this post short - must carry on with my card making day! see ya

Bellariffic friday with a Sketch
Sketch challenges I love - I struggle putting most of my cards together most times, because I can never figure out how to lay it all out. So when we were given this weeks challenge I was sooooo happy!
Still working on Christmas cards - many more to go - so I pulled out Tangled Stella.
The Stella's are one of my favs of the bella images.
So here we have Stella, trying to decorate the tree, and managed to get herself all tangled up (hence the name Tangled Stella- hehe). She was colored up with Copics and then I added the shading with my pencils. The DP paper is some pieces I had left from a SU pack a year or two ago. I ran the green piece through the cuttlebug using the snowflake embossing folder. I added some glitter to her hat and dress, and clear glazed the lightbulbs with my clear glaze pen. Finished it off with a red bow.
Now for some more exciting news, if you haven't already heard,Emily did a mini release on Monday! She released 3 new Lulu images, and are they cute, cute, cute! actually they are a must have. Emily is also offering 20% off your whole order - yep you heard it right - 20% off your whole order. All you have to do is just enter code christmas20 and Poof! 20% off your order just like that! Sale ends Monday Nov 22.
Next weeks challenge is ALL WHITE CARD. The only thing that is colored is your image - everything else is white. So give it a try and email Em your card by thursday night, to be included in the draw for some bella bucks.
Have a great weekend everyone, see you soon.

The birthday boy
Hope everyone had a good weekend. Mine was pretty full. Working on my Christmas card orders and then on Sunday I was at Paper Pickle's Christmas open house. Met up with Linda as well as some old friends I haven't seen in a while Tracy and Brenda. So nice to see you gals! They had make n' takes as well as hot apple cider and lots of Christmas squares and cookies. Yes, the sweet tooth that I have I had to indulge in just a few - I mean really who could resist!
With all the Christmas cards I have been doing, thought I would take a break and color up something different. Now I don't normally color up 'kid' cards only because I don't have anyone that young to give the too, but I had this guy stamped off for a while, and he needed some lovin!
The birthday boy was stamped with black memento on bella's bestest paper.
I colored his skin tones with copics and the rest with my prismacolor pencils and gamsol.
I used the colors from the School Spirit collection by Crate as my guide. The bright green rick rack was purchased from our local fabric store. Finishing touches were glitter on the presents and some bright colored buttons.
Thanks for stopping by. Till next time...

It's a Christmas Bellariffic Friday
Well, here we are again for another friday bellariffic challenge. Where do the weeks go? The weather has been fantastic this week (in the 50's), it's hard to believe we are almost in the middle of November - but I'm not complaining, I'll take this weather over snow any day!
This weeks challenge was a Christmas/Holiday card. Now how easy is that?
So I share with you this week - A Snowman and a Cardinal by Mo! I'm a sucker for snowman, so as soon as Emily released this one, into my cart it went.
.
I colored this image up when I was in Bellaland this past Saturday. As usual image was stamped on bella's bestest paper with black memento. I colored this with my prismacolor pencils and gamsol. This was a fast image to color- will probably do a few more of these. I used my square s/binder die to cut out the snowman and for the rose colored c/s I ran it through my cuttlebug using the spots and dots embossing folder. The DP paper is from my 6 x 6 pack of Wassail from Basic Grey - yes I still have lasts years pad, I'm a paper hoarding and hate to use it, but it was time to cave. To finish it off I add lots of glitter, used my glaze pen on his nose and buttons and then used some Bella glitter dots to dress it up.

Have a good weekend everyone!

Frosty
Hi everyone. With the Christmas season fast approaching, I am in much need of cards to fill my orders. Although last night I wasn't really in the mood to do wintery scenes since the weather this week has been beautiful - lots of warm sunshine- which is to continue until saturday. But needless to say I pulled out Frosty. (sorry couldn't link him, because I can't find it on Em's website, but I know he is there somewhere because I bought him on saturday).
Now I can not take full credit for the card. I was inspired by this card by Linda.
I stamped Frosty on bella's bestest paper and colored with my prismacolor pencils and blended with gamsol. For the background I used some of my new papers I got from Paper Pickle called Wintertime by Echo Park. The whole line is yummy-licious! I cut it out with my square s/binder, then used my label #15 for the blue layer. The red scrolls are from one of the fancy tag dies. I cut the tag in half so I could use both ends of the tag. Add lots of glitter to Frosty, also used my clear glaze pen to glaze his nose, and the ornaments on the tree as well as his buttons. White flock was used for the brim of his hat and his pompom. Ribbon would of been too much, so just added some small white pearls to the ends of the red scrolls.
There still is time for you to enter this weeks challenge. It's very simple this week - anything Christmas/holiday related. Now how easy is that! Email your entry to Emily by thursday night to be included in the draw for some bella bucks!
Thanks for stopping by, I'll be back on friday for my challenge card. I have mine all done.. I'll give you a hint - it's a Mo image!

It's a bird, it's a plane...
No it's a reindeer! lol. Okay just a bit of humor there. But first I want to share with you a picture of us Babes in Bellaland on saturday. We had such a great time, lots of laughs, shopping and getting lessons from Linda on coloring with Copics and Paula coloring with pencils.
Back row we have Cath, Dana, Linda and myself, front row - Em, Ebru and Paula.
So let me show you today's card. Here we have Reindeer Circle.
As usual I colored with my prisma color pencils and blended with gamsol on
bella's bestest paper. I cut him out freehand and cut a red circle and light turquoise circle scallop using my s/binder dies. I layered this onto brown c/s cut with labels #3 die. When I saw this Basic Grey Jovial paper with the reindeers on it, I thought how perfect would that go with this image. I added some glitter to the berries, the star and the circles on the reindeers jacket. Finished it off with some crystal dots and some yummy crinkled seam binding ribbon. A perfect match for this card.
Well since I'm on much lunch hour, it time to go back to work :(. See you in a couple days with another post.

Bellariffic Friday and a Prezzie
Yay! It's Friday again. So excited about this weekend. Linda, Paula, Cath and myself are heading to Bellaland on Saturday to meet up with Ebru and Dana (who is in Toronto this week). How fun will that be - having all us Bellababes under one roof! So if you are in the neighbourhood of Bellaland, stop in for a visit.
Onto the real reason why you stopped in - to check out my card for this weeks Belllariffic challenge. I share with you Izzie has a Prezzie.
Now I know she is not a Christmas image, but I wanted to make her into a Christmas card so looking through my Christmas papers I came across this pretty paper from the Memory Box Gingercake pack. Perfect!
Stamped Izzie on bella's bestest paper and colored her with prismacolor pencils and blended with gamso. Her skin tones were done with Copics. After cutting her out with the oval s/binder die, I cut the pink layer with my new S/binder beaded oval die. It all came together with some lace, ribbon, glitter and a rhinestone on Izzie's present.
So the challenge this week was 1,2,3.
1 image - Izzie with a prezzie
2 papers - I used memory box
3 embellishments - glitter, ribbon/lace and a rhinestone
For next weeks challenge it is a Christmas/Holiday card. With all the Bella Christmas images out there, it shouldn't be too hard to do this challenge. So lets see what you got!
Have a great weekend everyone. Thanks for stopping by.

Polly Packages
Hi! It seems like forevah since I last posted a card- it's been such a busy week both at work and at home, but I managed to squeeze in a card last night - colored her all up after my Pickle class, and finished it on my lunch hour today.
I share with you today Polly Packages. Now, not your traditional Christmas colors, but when I came across these papers from Memory Box Frost collection, hmmm just warmed my heart. I love these colors.
As usual, I inked up Polly with black memento ink and stamped onto
Bella's bestest paper. Coloring was done with prismacolor pencils and blended with gamsol, except for the skin tones I used Copics. I then cut out the image with my rectangle s/binder, and left the die in place and sponged some light pink - versmagic pixie dust around the image. The pink scallop was done with an EK Success border punch - this border is so dainty! Finished off with some stitching, glitter and I used my clear glaze pen for the holly berries on her hat and the knot on the present. Oh and how about that delicious ribbon!, it's not really that dark in real life, it's much softer.
And must not forget to mention that the layout I used was one that Lindabella did for our challenge back in Sept. I love this layout, I'm sure I'll be using it again.
Well that's it for today, back tomorrow with my card for the Bellariffic challenge, oh can't wait to show you - she is so cute!
You still have to time submit your card to Emily tonight if you would like to play along. The Challenge was 1,2,3 - one image, 2 papers, and 3 embellishments.
See you tomorrow!

Confused Dog!
Today's post will be short, as I have much to do. How does that saying go - One step forward and two steps back! well that's how I have been feeling this past week.
I share with you Confused Christmas Dog. I think he is so cute!
I colored with my prismacolor pencils and bella's bestest paper. I used my nesties to cut him out and tried out my new spellbinder square eyelet die for the brown layer behind. The DP paper by Bo Bunny. I used my EK Success scallop border punch for the strip down the side.
I wanted his nose to look shiney,
so colored his nose with
my black glaze pen. Added some
glitter to the white stripes on
his scarf and on the holly berries.
Now since he is a Chistmas Dog
he needed to have some snow around
him, so I used my quickie glue pen
on the ground area and then applied
some white flocking to make the
snow.
I used Merry Holidays for the sentiment.
Cut it into a ribbon tag and fastened one
end under the button.
That's it for tonight. Have a good evening.

Bellariffic Friday Re-Visited
As you know Em was at the Creativ Festival this past weekend, and a little bit under the weather, so we decided to re-visit the same challenge as last week.
It was using Elainabella's sketch.
Your probably saying Hmmm I've seen this card before, and you have. I am posting last weeks card again. Sorry ladies, I am so far behind the 8 ball this week and just didn't have time to whip up another. So in case you didn't see my card last week here it is again. Cute eh?
For next weeks challenge it is 1,2,3,- yep 1 image, 2 papers and 3 embellishments - how fun does that sound! So get your cards done and email to Emily by 5 on thursday, to be entered in the draw for some bella bucks!

Have a great weekend. Thanks for stopping by.

Another Christmas card
Do you ever have visions on how your card will turn out, and then it doesn't?
I spent 3 hours last night trying to come up with a layout. I even had papers picked out to go with my image and after it was colored it just didn't work. So changed my paper choice then I struggled with a layout! Why does this happen? Am I being too picky, just trying to get is just so? Maybe the paper was too busy for what I wanted. I don't know, but came home after work and finished it up.
So here it is:
This cute little row of trees is called "Birds Decorating a Tree" and it even comes with a matching mini stamp.
I stamped the trees using black memento ink on bella's bestest paper and colored with my prismas and gamsol. Cut out the image with my square nestie. Paper is from the Crate - Snowy Day collection. I used my EK Success scallop punch on the brown piece. Added some glaze to the light bulbs using my glaze pen. Finished it off with some red ribbon, a button, and some really sparkly glitter on the ground.
Another Christmas card done- many more to go!
See ya!

Retreat Pictures and a Card
Hi Everyone,
Well I survived the weekend, although it should of been an Eat-a-thon instead of a Retreat. Seemed like all we did was eat. All of our meals were home cooked for us which was wonderful. The ladies loved my card class I did with them, they all did wonderful- they were just thrilled that they had made a couple of cards.
Here is a picture of the group of ladies I went with. I'm in the front row, kind of scrunched down a bit so the other gals could see over me. Also some of the scenery pictures I took. We did a lot of walking. Overall it was a great weekend.
So now on with my card. Today I have Fushias for Lulu to share with you. I stamped image onto Bella's bestest paper with black memento ink and colored it up with my prismas and gamsol.
I used my oval s/binder dies to cut out the image, as well as the pieces behind the image. The DP papers is from K & Co. The border punch is by Martha Stewart. Finished it off with some glitter on the flowers and some green ribbon.
Thanks for stopping by.
