Wildflower Spray
Hello to all! A great way to start the week, as I am on vacation! Weather is perfect high of 75F today, but gets hotter as the week goes on, but one day at a time right! No plans just glad to be at home and not at work, plan on doing yard work, some reading, go for walks, card making and just take life easy!
I did a lot of yard work yesterday, took advantage of the partial gloomy day before the sun came out in the afternoon with humidity. I finished up a couple more cards last night.
Today's card is one of several Sympathy cards I was asked to make for a friend.
I'm using a 3D embossing folder from Lisa Horton Crafts. I just love the depth of texture with these folders. I wasn't sure how to colour this as I didn't want to use copics. I decided on sponging with inks. I had some small tip brush applicators which worked well in the smaller spaces. I also went in with my Prismacolour Pencils and added some darker spots in the base of the flowers. Very pleased on how this turned out. Sentiment is from PTI.
I didn't want to over clutter with any embellishments, so I just added 3 tiny white pearls for accents.
I also cut a narrow strip of the same cardstock as the base and ran a strip along the bottom and up the side for some added interest.
Well that's it for me for today. See you soon. Have yourself a wonderful day, whatever you are up to.
Keep well,
Pauline

Gentle Blossom
Hi there! Today's card is one I made just to increase my stash bucket, which is pretty much depleted. I really need to get ahead of the game, much easier to pull a card out of your stash when you need one rather than have to make it.
Using products from Memory Box - Gentle Blossom Watercolour Floral, SSS Flickering Butterflies & SSS Positively saturated inks, Pinkfresh Studio - Essentials Mini Slimline dies and Penny Black - Not older, better (sentiment)
I started with some heavy weight white card stock and cut it down to a mini slimline using PinkFresh Studio die.
I then sponged some inks from yellow to pink over lapping in the middle to get the pinky colour, then spritzed with a bit of water and used a piece of paper towel to soak the excess as I didn't want large water spots.
Next, cut the die out of the white c/s, then sponged the same colours on the blossom. I stamped the sentiment first before adhere the blossom to make sure I had enough room. Added the butterflies which were cut from gold mirror cardstock.
I was going to add some bling, but decided to leave as is.
I really love how this turned out. I want to try some more but make the blossom in different colours.
Thanks for stopping by today. Enjoy the rest of your day. Beautiful day here in SW Ontario only a high of 64F, but sunny and very windy. I'll take this over the 116F days last week!
Keep well,
Pauline

Books & Flowers
Hello!
Today I have a card to share in which I made for my Daughter-In-Law Anna. She is both beautiful inside and out, we are so blessed to have her in our family!
I created a Slimline card for this as the image is large. Stamp is from StudioLight - Books & Flowers.
When I saw this image I knew I had to have it for Anna's birthday card, just so fitting as she is such an avid reader.
I stamped the image onto some Canson 140lb watercolour paper. I then scribbled some Zig markers onto my palette and picked up the ink with a wet paintbrush. Continued this until I was happy with the results.
I then used Pinkfresh Studio slim line dies to cut out the image, as well as the aqua background layer, which is the same size as a Slimline card base.
I wasn't sure if I was going to add a sentiment or not, as the image is quite busy... but I had this large white space, which I just happened to get a smudge, so I needed to cover it up. I pulled out The Greetery - sentiment suite - Birthday, and used one of the tiny birthday greetings, and cut it out with a flag banner die, added a tiny silk ribbon to the top of the banner.
Finished off with wink of stella clear brush pen and added this to the flowers, also added some small pearls.
It's a beautiful day here in SW Ontario this early morning (7:30 am), sunny and very breezy, not too hot yet, so think I will head outdoors and do some yard work.
Thank you for stopping by today, whatever you are up to today - enjoy!

Glimmer birthday card
Hi there! Today's card is one I made for my friend Carla's birthday.
I used Spellbinders Glimmer of the Month December - Botanical Crest
I foiled the botanical crest using gold foil and my glimmer hot foil system onto some MFT Sno Cone cardstock. I then used the inner die to cut out the center. I also glimmered the sentiment which is from SB Yana's Sentiments. Not sure what I was thinking when I did the sentiment but it should of been a bit lower, hence I added the heart rhinestone to fill the space.
I cut some flowers from yellow and pink c/s from the same botanical set and adhered them around the wreath.
For the bottom floral I used Spellbinders Mini Blooms and Sprigs.
As always, I appreciate your visit. Enjoy the rest of your day.

Easter Wishes
Hello, and happy Monday to all! This is the last day of my week long vacation. Bill and I did some birding, but it seems we missed most of the migration as most of it came through the week of May 5. It was kind of disappointing to say the least. But..... it was a great just being off of work, taking some 'me' time. I did a lot of reading, finished watching the Downton Abbey series, and Season 1,2,3 of New Amsterdam, just starting to watch season 4. I also found some time in the craft room :), along with some gardening.
Today's card that I am sharing is one I did for Easter. I completely forgot to post this.
Products used are: Penny Black - Tulip Treasure, Penny Black Cross Stitch Borders, and sentiment is from a very old Verse set.
Using Canson 140lb watercolour paper, tombow markers and my Misti. I continued to add ink to the image, spritz and stamp until I was happy with the image. I then placed the cross stitch die along the right side and die cut it - love how it only cuts the slits in each triangle. I stamped the sentiment in black versafine.
To finish off I added some tiny pearls, and sponged antique linen along the edges.
As always, I appreciate you stopping by. See you again real soon. Have a wonderful day, whatever you are up to!

Farm Fresh Birthday Wishes
Good morning everyone. A gloomy rainy day today here in SW Ontario, but much needed. Ground is so dry, we have huge cracks in the ground in our backyard.
Today's card was made with pieces I already had in my basket of unfinished pieces.
The vase of flowers is from Simon Says Stamps - Mandy's Flowers, coloured using copic markers, then fussy cut out. The background layer was sprayed with a light peach colour (sorry made this over a year ago, so don't recall the colour of spray). I then used a stencil and applied Nuvo paste on top.
The coral frame was cut using IO - DIE242-YY, cut twice and adhered together.
Cut a tiny tag from Spellbinders and stamped the birthday wishes from PTI in black versafine. Added some foam squares behind the flowers and tag and popped it up along the side of the frame. Added some clear sequins to finish off.
As always, I appreciate your visit. Wishing you a wonderful day!

Paper Rose Sympathy
Hello everyone. I'm back today to share a couple of Sympathy cards which I made for my last card order. Actually you will probably see a few more Sympathy from me as I made several for this order.
Using a die from Paper Rose - Gum Leaf Border die. I have had this border die for over a year now, and finally got around to using it.
After cutting my front panel with the die I added a piece of vellum behind it. This was done for both cards.
For my first card, I added a couple of strips of washi tape along the top and bottom of the die cut. Cut some tiny flowers and leaves using Spellbinders and added them to the gum leaf die cut area. The white die cut in the corner is from Memory Box - Flower field corner and the sentiment is from Simon Says Stamps. Added some gem stones to the centers of the flowers.

Best Wishes
Hello! I hope everyone is keeping well. This past weekend we had such gorgeous summer like weather with temperatures up in the mid 70's and mid 80's,then today it was 34 but felt like 23F.Looks like the rest of the week into next week is only going to be in the 50's.
Spring bird migration is starting, we have seen a few come through out backyard. Hopefully we will see more this weekend, when we venture out to our favourite birding spots.
For my card today, I'm sharing an Anniversary card I made for my Sister. I'm using Pinkfresh Studio Sunflower Washi tape, PFS oval die, gold foiling sentiments & dies from Spellbinders, and background die plate from Papertrey Ink.
On the background plate I sponged some light blue ink so it would give it some colour. After die cutting the washi tape I used a few pieces to create my design on and around the oval die cut. Hot glimmer foiled the sentiment. I cut the sentiment out a few times with just white cardstock, then glued together for dimension.
To finish I added some gold pearls in various sizes.
Thank you for stopping by today, I always appreciate when you do! Have a wonderful day.

With Sympathy & Love
Hi! It's been a while since I've posted. I've just been busy with work and home stuff, and haven't been in the mood lately for stamping. Although, a friend has reached out and asked for some more sympathy cards & Easter cards, so I am back to doing those.
I have a few done but no pictures taken as of yet, but this one today is one I made for my last order in Nov and never posted.
This is a Penny Black branch which I just inked as it was in my Misti, spritzed a bit and then stamp. I then splattered some gold ink, and sponged some light pink around the 2 sides.
I tore the top right corner and curled it back with my fingers. I then stamped some text (Magenta Rubber Stamps) up in the corner before adhering my floral layer.
Sentiment is from Simon Says Stamps - stamp in black.
Added some small pearls and some gold washi tape to finish this off.
I thank you for stopping by, have a wonderful day!

Trailing
Hi there! Hope everyone is keeping well. I haven't had a chance to make anything new lately but I was going through my cards that I made for my last card order back in November and came across a few I never posted.
Today's card is a sympathy card. I started by sponged some soft blue, and yellow for the background. Once that was completed I put my it in my Misti, added the Penny Black stamp - Trailing to the other side, then continued to add various green inks, misted lightly and stamped. I continued to do this until I was happy with the results.
I stamped the sentiment also from Penny Black in black versafine. I didn't want to add any bling or such, just wanted to keep this simple, so I scored a line along the bottom and up the right side for a bit of detail.
I appreciate you stopping by, see you again real soon! Hugs,
Pauline

Be my Valentine
Hi everyone. Hope you had a good weekend.
Today, I have another Valentine card to share, this one is more on the 'masculine' side.
I started off by hot foiling the background using bronze foil and The Greetery - Deco Triangles Hot foil plate onto some kraft cardstock. I then stamped one of the sentiments from Pretty Postmarks in a kraft ink, then splattered with Tim Holtz holiday mica stain - Peppermint Stick.
The wood heart slice die is also from The Greetery, cut it once from dark brown and once from kraft. On the kraft piece I sponged some distress oxide walnut stain around the edges. Love is also from the Greetery, cut 2 times and adhered together. I die cut some red hearts and then adhered them to the card.
Finished off with some gold pearls, some small black hearts from Trinity Stamps and a little twine bow on the 'love'
Thank you for stopping by today. Have yourself a wonderful day!

Sending Love
Hello, hope everyone is doing well. I meant to post this last week, but it didn't happen so posting today. I have a standing order with a friend, and although she didn't reach out to me yet to ask(which she normally does as a reminder) for some Valentine cards & St Patrick, I was being pro-active, made them and popped them in the mail to her. She should get them this week, which will be a nice surprise for her, because normally I run so late with getting her orders done, not because I don't want to, just because sometimes you don't have the time.
But regardless, I will share a couple I made for now.
Both cards are using the same dies from Spellbinders January Dies of the month club (large & small dies) from 2021. I ordered this back last January when it was released, but by the time it got to Canada it was already into Feb, which was too late. So I used this for this year.
The gold heart is a hot foil glimmer plate called Heart Grid. Love how this foiled using gold foil!
After I die cut the center piece, I laid a piece of Vellum behind it, then adhered to the card front. The flowers and leaves were die cut as well, then added them to the front along with some gold pearls. I gold foiled the sentiment as well, added some foam tape and popped it up. I also added a die cut heart in gold and layered that behind the vellum, in order to make the heart stand out from the front side.
