Sweet Rose Bouquet

Hello all.  Hope your week is going well.  I have a 3 day weekend ahead of me so I'm looking forward to that.

As I mentioned in my last post I've been busy making cards.  I've been really hooked on the Altenew stamps, just love doing the multi step stamping.

Today's card features the Altenew stamp set called Sweet Rose Bouquet.

Using my Misti, I started by stamping my leaves (which is all one stamp) using the Altenew Tropical Forest set of inks, starting with the lightest colour.  I then continued with the layers using a darker ink each time.

Once the leaves were completed I laid the first layer of rose stamp onto my card lining up where the roses set among the leaves. For the roses I used the Altenew Tea Party ink set and continued added a darker colour for each layer.

I used MFT cross-stitch oval to cut out the image, left the die in place and used the lightest ink colour from the Tea Party set which was pink pearl and sponged some ink around the image. I added some fun foam behind the image and layered this onto  white cardstock which was die cut using PTI - Shape Shifter - Oval #4.

Background paper is from PTI soft stone pattern paper pack.  I cut a couple of strips of c/s - soft coral and gold metallic and adhered them along the bottom for some added interest.

For the sentiment (Simon Says - tiny word set) I embossed it onto some black c/s using white embossing powder then trimmed to fit and then added a small coral silk bow. Wink of stella clear was added to the roses for a bit of shimmer.

I really like how this turned out, I will be using this set a lot for future cards.

Thanks for visiting today, see you soon.  Have a fabulous day!

Absolutely beautiful, Pauline! I was so stunned with how perfectly you accomplished this that I had to go look up the set and watch a video to see exactly how it works. I love multi-step stamps. Your color choices are gorgeous and the background paper and simple design really let the flowers shine. Love the dies, too. So lovely. I'm excited to see more. I feel like a kid anticipating Christmas!
