Stamping Bella sneak peak Day 5

Welcome to day 5 of the sneak peaks. Are you enjoying all the sneak peaks so far! I'm loving them, so many fabulous images it's hard to pick my favourite.

One of the images for today's release is Skylar loves to skate.

I coloured her using prisma colour pencils and blended with gamsol.  I used copics for the skin tones.
I then cut her out using MFT - wonky stitched rectangles to cut her out.
Designer paper is Bo bunny - altitude collection, layered onto some dark purple bazzill card stock.

For the sentiment I printed it off using a laser printer, then added some silver foil over it and ran it through my Heidi Swapp Minc machine (love this machine)!

I die cut some snowflakes - Memory Box Christmas baubles,  using silver glitter paper. I cut a Memory Box frosty border from white card stock and just used a portion of it tucked under the bottom of the image.

Coloured the ice using wink of stella clear pen, and then added lots of glitter around Skylar using by quickie glue pen and hero arts primsa glitter.

Hope you liked today's sneak peak.  Be sure to check out the other sneak peaks over at Bloggabella and be sure to leave a comment for a chance to win one of today's images.

I"ll be back on Friday with another sneak peak to share.  Thanks for stopping by.

Stampiing Bella sneak peak Day 2

Hello everyone! I'm back to help out Emily with some sneak peaks for her upcoming release on Sept 3. There will be co-coordinating dies available with the images.  There will be Halloween, Fall & Christmas images.  You can read all about it here.

My card today is show casing one of the newest 2.0 Bella's - Christmas giftabella.

After printing her off, I used copics to colour.  I had a bronze/gold metallic frame already cut out on my desk, so decided to use that.  I sponged some distress antique linen around the outside edges to soften the white paper.  Matched up some dp - MME - Santa Claus.

I used Memory Box tiny poinsettia die to make the flower on the side.  Added some gold metallic thread behind.  I was going to use white flock for the trim on her dress but decided to go with the glitter instead.

Be sure to hope over to bloggabella to see what the bella babes have to share today. Be sure to leave a comment while you are there for a chance to win today's image.

I'll be back on Wednesday for another sneak peak.  See you then.  Thanks for stopping by.

Hello

Happy Monday Tuesday!  Here I thought it was Monday, probably because I was off work yesterday, and this was my first day back to work  this week. Gosh!

A week or so ago, I pulled out some of my sprays and mists and decided to play around and make some backgrounds.  I used some Lindy's stamp gang sprays ( I have had these for years,  I'm thinking 5-7 yrs old.  I bought them at a stamp convention in Michigan.  You know how it is -you get to these conventions and watch the demos, you get all pumped up - because that's why they do the demos to suck you into their product right? - well yes I get sucked in easy for somethings. So you buy the supplies, then you get home and put away into the special spots (in a container on the shelf) and forget about them!) I also used some Stamp Zia sprays as well. So after playing around and let the piece of water colour paper dry, I used a new Penny Black stamp (well new to me) and embossed it onto the sprayed background in white.  Some of the sprays I used have shimmer in them, so the background is very pretty in real.

I used Spellbinders Scallop borders two to cut the bottom edge of my image piece and also different edges for the base card from the same set.

My sentiment is stamped in SU elegant eggplant.  The sentiment is from Altenew - Label Love.  I then trimmed it down in size.

I used some gold twine, pearls and sequins to finish this off.

Thanks for stopping by.

Wedding card

Hey  everyone - TGIF! I must say this week as flown right on by and I haven't even had a chance to post a card for you.

So tonight I'm sharing a wedding card I made a few weeks ago.  I love making wedding cards - using various dies, flowers, ribbon and pearls, there is just something about it!

Designer paper is from Basic Grey Cappaella.  I used one of my newest dies from Creative Expressions called Australian collection - Brisbane, for my focal point. I just love CE dies - there is so many I would love to have - someday!

After adding some prima flowers and Wild Orchid crafts flowers I die cut some leaves from scraps of cappella paper using Creative Expressions finishing touches - olive branch.

Add a bow and pearls to finish off.

Well that does it for me today.  Tomorrow is my dress fitting for my son Mark's wedding in Sept. Can't believe it's a month away - boy how time flies doesn't it?

Enjoy your weekend, and thanks for visiting today.
Take care

Lone bird

Hi everyone! Hope your enjoying your weekend.

Here is my card for today:

I stamped the bird using memento rich cocoa onto some cream cardstock.  I then layered this onto another cream c/s which was stamped using a text stamp from Magenta.

The pearlized background was done as follows.  I  embossed my background using a hero arts background stamp with white embossing powder onto some canson water colour paper. I then  used some Inka gold platinum and some tattered rose distress ink.  I squished my distress pad onto my craft mat, added a bit of inka gold, a bit of water and mixed to make a wash.  I then painted on the wash over my embossed background.  It dries fairly quickly as well. Once dry I layered this onto a piece of cream c/s, then adhered to my card base. Added some lace, twine and a prima flower.  I also added some small gold sequins to finish this off.  The technique of the background came from Kim over at The Paper Pickle.

The inka gold comes in a variety of colours, but for a wash like I did, if you add ink to the platinum colour you can make it any colour you desire.

supplies:
stamp - Hero arts - wavy leaf pattern, Stampendous - lone bird, Magenta - text (no name on package)
ink -  memento rich cocoa, distress tattered rose, inka gold platinum
paper - cream, rose metallic, canson water colour
misc - lace, twine, prima flower, sequins, white embossing powder, versamark

Thanks for your visit, see you soon,

Pauline

Touches of Texture

Hello all.  Hope everyone is having a good week. Well the heat has hit once again,  as I'm writing this at 10:20 pm it is 99F, it was over 100 today.

My card to day is one I made with my new Stampin Up set called Touches of Texture.  Love this set, there is so much variety within this set.  I made this card as part of the 29 card order.

I  used several of the texture stamps that come in this set to make the background using various inks.
I then stamped the floral in black memento and coloured using SU markers.   I stamped the sentiment using black versafine.  Sentiment is from the PTI set - Willow. This was then cut using a grand scallop die from spellbinders. I then cut an oval frame using MFT stitched oval frames.

Designer paper is Kaiser craft - devonshire collection.  Finished off with lace, gold cord, prima flowers, a rhinestone and used my wink of stella pen on the flowers.

Supplies:
stamps - SU- touches of texture, PTI - Willow
inks - black memento, black versafine, SU baja breeze, crumb cake, crisp cantelope, certain celery, SU markers - dustry durango, pistachio pudding (for the flowers)
die - spellbinders - grand scallop, MFT stitched oval frame
paper - SU dusty durango, cougar white, Kaiser craft - devonshire
misc - lace, prima flower, gold cord, wink of stella clear pen, rhinestone

Thanks for visiting today, have a wonderful day.

Sunny sunflower and a couple of cards

Hi there.  Just popping in for a quick post tonight.  This is the end of my 4 day weekend.  Not much done in the line of card making.  We had a beautiful weekend, low humidity, but starting tomorrow, we are back up into the 100's again, very hot and humid, with maybe a chance of rain Friday into Saturday (much needed rain!). With the great sunny weather we had I spent a lot of time out in the gardens and just enjoying the beautiful weather.

I wanted to share this picture of a 'sunflower' that popped up in our garden.  Now many of you know how much we love birds, so I think the sunflower sprouted from some of the sunflower seeds the birds drop from the feeders.  We had a total of 6 sunflowers grow this year, 4 were fairly small but we had two full size and this is one of them.

Now for my card, actually I have 2 versions of it.  With the large Thank you card order I spent some time on Pinterest looking for ideas.  I came across PTI Make it Monday video which shared  the making of  a card, which I have done 2 of.  I changed the sentiment, colours and changed up the die cut base plate so they weren't the same. I did do a Thank you one as well but never took a picture.  I did it in the green/blue tones using the design of the 2nd card.

These were both so easy and fun to do.  I used water colour paper measuring 5.5 x 4.25 then coloured various Zig clean colour markers across the paper on a diagonal.  Then I took a wet paint brush and started to blend the colours.  Once dry ( I used a heat gun to speed up the process) I used a PTI base plate in the two different designs above and cut it out.  Because the water colour paper is a bit heavier I was lucky that all the pieces remained in the die cut.  I added some adhesive to the back of each piece, then layered a piece of white card stock onto the die cut.  Turned over the die cut face up and removed the negative piece.

I then cut a couple of different coloured tags and stamped the sentiment.  Added some fun foam to the back of each then adhered to the front of the card.  I attached the die cut piece to the front of a top folded card, then added  sequins and enamel dots to finish off.

Well that's it for me for today.  Enjoy your day.

Cakeabella 2.0

Hello everyone. Hope you are all having a good week.  Today is actually my Friday since I'm off work until Tuesday.  Just using up some vacation days!

After doing that huge card order - which most of them were done by stamping and die cutting rather than colouring, I was ready to sit down and colour something.

I pulled out my latest Stamping Bella order that I received over a month ago, just didn't have a chance to use them yet.  I decided on 'Cakeabella'.  I am so loving these new bella 2.0 images.  I have all the original stick figure bellas - still love those too, but there is just something about having actual arms, legs, face with features and lots of hair - so life like.

I stamped her onto some white cougar 100 lb card stock using memento black ink.  I used copics for the skin tones, then switched to prismacolour pencils for the rest.  After colouring her jeans I decided to paper piece her apron.  I rummaged through my scrap dp bucket and found some K & Co paper.  I then finished colouring her and then cut her out using MFT inside & out stitch round rectangle die.

I used fun foam cut slightly smaller than my image piece and adhered to the back.  For the sentiment - which comes with the set - I embossed it onto a strip of black cardstock using versamark and white embossing powder.  Cut one end to make a flag fishtale  end.

Because my scrap piece of dp was only just that - a scrap piece,  it wasn't large enough to cover the front of the card.  I decided to  use my MFT Homespun stitch lines die to do some piercing/stitching long the top of the card, and then rounded the right corner.

I wrapped some twine around the card 3 times then tied a bow over to the left.  Added my image  to the card and then adhered the sentiment.  Finished off with lots of glitter on the cake and 3 enamel dots.

So there you have it, a super fun birthday card.  See you soon, thanks for stopping by.

Monochromatic Thanks

Hello everyone.  I'm off today due to a Canadian Stat Holiday, (Civic Holiday) and I've been out in the gardens doing some much needed weeding.  Just thought I would take a quick break and post a card.

Remember, I had mentioned that I had a 29 card order to do, well it's done and 20 of those 29 were thank you cards.  Here is one of them I did.

I started by stamping a script from PTI  - Background basics - text style using crumb cake along the bottom of my front piece.  I then stamped the image using the same ink.  Image is from Endless Creations, and I have had this for years.  I have seen it released by a few other companies as well.

I used my MISTI to stamp the 'thank you' just in case I didn't get a good impression the first time this would allow me to stamp it again.

I added a couple of strips of stripe paper from my scrap bin to another piece of white card stock. - top and bottom.  I think it was a left over piece from one of my MME 6x6 pads. I then adhered the floral stamp piece onto that.

I added some silk ribbon around the bottom of the card where the stripe paper meets the stamped script and added a tiny bow tied with the same ribbon.  Added a couple of small gold sequins.  I made several off these but switched up the image from the right side over to the left side.

Thank you for stopping by today.  Enjoy the rest of your day.  I'm heading back outside for a bit then hope to get a card made later today.
