Happy Saturday everyone, and a delightful day it is here. Very warm temperatures, lots of sun and humidity. I can do without the humidity though.
Today's card I'm featuring another Power Poppy image. I'm still playing along in their May challenge - use your favourite flower, well like I've said before how can you just pick one.
I taught this card in one of my classes this past week. It just speaks spring time doesn't it? This image is from the Daffodils stamp set, and it is also available in digi form called dancing with daffodils.
After stamping it on white cougar c/s using black memento I coloured using prisma pencils. I then cut the image using spellbinders oval and layered it onto a piece of mauve cut using spellbinders scallop oval. For the curved edge on the dp I used a Simon Says die - A2 card curved edge. Cut once from the dp and once from the mauve c/s, then layer the mauve behind.
I also stamped a small sentiment in the corner using Penny Blacks snippet stamp set. Love this set, lots of small sayings.
To finish off I added a double bow made from twine, and of course you must have glitter on a flower card.
Thanks for stopping by today, have a wonderful day.

Gardening chicks
I'm back today for another Stamping Bella post. This weeks card is featuring 'gardening chicks'.
After stamping the image onto some cougar 100lb white cardstock I used prisma colour pencils to colour. Once done I cut it out using spellbinders oval die, left the die in place and sponged some soft sky around the edge. This was then layered onto a piece of aqua mist c/s cut from a spellbinder scallop die.
My background papers are from Simple Stories - vintage bliss. I just love the papers in this pack! I used my corner rounder punch for the top corners on the plaid piece.
It seemed kind of plain and needed something so I pulled out several 'leafy' dies and ended up going with Memory Box - fresh foliage.
Finished off with glitter and sequins.
supplies:
stamp - Stamping Bella - gardening chicks
ink - black memento, SU soft sky, prisma colour pencils- way to many to list
dies - spellbinders - oval and oval scallop, MB fresh foliage
paper - cougar white, bazzill lemonade, PTI - aqua mist, Simple Stories - vintage bliss
misc - sequins, glitter, corner rounder
I hope I have inspired you today. Thanks for your visit.

Planning for Magnolias
Hi all. Well it's a dreary rainy day today, a good day to be working on some cards don't you think? It's a 3 day weekend for us Canadians, and the weather for Sunday and Monday is suppose to be upper 60's low 70's and sunny! This also concludes my weeks vacation - why do they always fly by so fast?!
I needed a birthday card for my friend at work. Wasn't sure what Power Poppy image to colour for her and I know I wanted to use my new Justrite die as well. So looking through my images I came across Planning for Magnolia set and it had this cute little flower sitting in a vase of water - so sweet.
I"m also entering this into the May challenge over at Power Poppy - May flowers - use your favourite floral image from Power Poppy. How can you just pick one! I have so many favourites.
Here is my card:
I stamped the image onto some white cougar c/s using black memento ink. I then coloured using prisma colour pencils as well as copics. I did a base coat using copics YG03 for the leaves and V01 for the flower. I then used pencils to add colour and depth.
I then cut out the image using Simon Says stitched circles. This fit perfectly over the center opening for the Justrite - garden circle die.
All background papers are from Basic Grey - Eva collection - another collection I have been hoarding forever!. My card base is a deep, deep purple. Layers were all cut out using Simon Says stitched squares.
To finish off I added glitter ritz to the flower, silk ribbon, and sequin.
Supplies:
stamp - Power Poppy - planning for magnolias
ink - black memento, copics - V01, YG03, prisma colour pencils - dahila purple, black cherry, dark green
paper - cougar white 100 lb, Basic Grey - Eva, dark puple
dies - Justrite - garden circle, Simon Says - stitched circles & squares
misc - glitter ritz, sequin, silk purple ribbon from PTI
Thanks for your visit today. Enjoy your weekend.

Meet Edna....
Hi everyone. Hope your week is going well. Can you believe that we are just over halfway through May. It hasn't felt like spring here though in SW Ontario. Freezing temperatures this past week with snow, rain and hail - unbelievable weather! This coming weekend is suppose to be spring like temperatures. Bill and I have been enjoying our birding ventures spite the cold weather. I will have lots of pictures to share in the coming weeks.
With this being Wednesday, I'm back to share another Stamping Bella creation. This week I am showcasing
Meet Edna - one of Emily's latest images from her last release. I just love these gals.
After stamping Edna on cougar c/s using black memento, I coloured her using copics. I used one of the dies from MFT blueprints 5 to cut her out. In the corners I stamped a small flourish in pale yellow just to add a bit of detail.
Designer paper is Simple Stories - Vintage Bliss. For the Fishtales I used MFT fishtale dies.
To finish off I added some sequins, and wink of stella clear pen for her wings.
Supplies:
stamp - Stamping Bella - Edna
paper - cougar 100 lb white, Simple Stories - vintage bliss,
dies - MFT - fishtale, blueprints 5
ink - black memento, copics - E000, E00, E01, E11, R20, R22, YR01, Y0000, Y00, Y02, Y13, Y23, BG0000, BG10, BG11, BG23, E23, E25, E29, E79
misc - wink of stella clear pen, sequins
I hope you enjoyed my card today. Thanks for you visit. Have a wonderful day!

Lovely tulips - power poppy challenge
I just love the May challenge over at Power Poppy blog, but how can one pick a favorite floral image? I love all of Marcella's floral images! I guess maybe I will have to participate in the challenge a few times this month!
Well here goes, here is my first card using one of my favourite images. This is a digital image called-
tulips in a hobnail pitcher.
After I re-sized my image I printed it on cougar white 100 lb c/s, then coloured with copics. I then cut it out using spellbinders circle die, then layered this onto another piece of white c/s cut using spellbinder royal circle die.
For my designer paper I used some older Basic Grey - stella ruby - love this line! For the card base I used some bazzill lagoon paper and cut using spellbinders grand calibur scallop square. I cut 2, then scored across the back side about an inch down, then just glue the top above the scoreline to the front of the card. This way it allows you to open the card much easier.
To finish off I used, lace, silk ribbon, wink of stella pen and sequins.
Supplies:
image - Power Poppy -digital tulips in a hobnail pitcher
ink - copics - YR01, YR15, YR16, YR27, YR31, Y11, Y15, Y19, Y38, V09, RV13, RV14, RV19, RV10, RV14, BG70, GO0, C00, C1, C2, C3, T1, T5, YG01, B60, R20, YG03, YG17, YG25, YG67, YG91
paper - white cougar 100 lb, basic grey - stella ruby, bazzill - lagoon,
dies - spellbinder - circle, royal circle, grand calibur scallop square
misc - lace, sequins, wink of stella clear pen, silk ribbon

the modern bride
Gosh, I can't believe it's Wednesday again! With that being said I'm back to share another Stamping Bella image with you today.
This week I coloured up Melanie the Modern Bride - one of the newest Uptown girl images over at Stamping Bella.
Melanie was stamped on cougar white 100 lb card stock then coloured using copics (listed below).
I trimmed her down to the size I needed and added a piece of scallop border along the right side.
I then layered this onto a piece of designer paper from MME - follow your heart.
For the sentiment I embossed the sentiment that comes with Melanie onto vellum using platinum embossing powder. I then wrapped the sentiment around the image adhering to the backside. I did add a bit of glue in being some of the letters to adhere to the card.
A bride must have lots of bling - so I added lots of glitter to her dress.
supplies:
image - Stamping Bella - Melanie the modern bride
ink - black memento, copics - skin - E000, E00, E01, E11, R20, R21 hair - E23, E25, E27 leaves- G02, G20, G24 flowers- Y04, Y423, R11, R12, R43, BV0000, V01 dots - G000, G00, BG10, Y11, R11, E01, V01, prisma colour pencils - french grey 70 & 90%, sandbar
paper - white cogar, MME - follow your heart, bazzill peach, vellum
misc - platinum embossing powder, glitter ritz glitter,
dies - PTI - pretty frame die (used one side for scallop border)
Have a wonderful day, thanks for your visit today.

Live it up
Today I have a fun card to share with you. As soon as I saw Power Poppy's digital 'layer cake' last month I knew I just had to have it. Such a versatile image.
Since I had a piece of water colour paper already prepared from a few weeks ago I used it and moved forward with my design. This was done by adding distress inks onto a piece of water colour paper which was wet down with water. I resized the image then used copics to colour. I used Memory Box die to cut it out as well as the layer below.
I punch a whole in the top of the tags and pulled some multi-colour seam binding ribbon through. I ended up having 4 ends because I doubled it up, but didn't like the look of just the way it hung. So I tied bows with them.
To finish off I added wink of stella clear pen on the layers of cake, added glossy accents to the dots on the outside and lots of sequins. I hope I didn't over do it with the sequins, I just couldn't stop! LOL. But hey, it's a fun card which deserves a lot of sequins.
Supplies:
image: power poppy - digital layer cake
ink: copics -YG01, Y18, BG11, BG23, E23, E25, E27, RV04, distress inks - peacock feathers, twisted citron, squeezed lemonade
dies - Memory Box - pinpoint main street tags, MFT - stitched rectangle
paper - TH water colour, dark blue, green, white cougar 100 lb
misc - silk ribbon, sequins, wink of stella clear pen
I appreciate your visit today, have a wonderful day.

Tiffany loves to text
Hello everyone! Today I have something exciting to share with you. I have been asked by Emily from Stamping Bella if I would be a guest designer for a month. How could I not! I just love her images. So not only did I say 'Yes' to the month of May but I will be a guest designer for June as well, Woohoot! So my post here will coincide with Emily's post every Wednesday over on Bloggabella.
So with out further ado here is my first post. I am sharing Uptown Tiffany loves to text.
Wouldn't you just love to look like Tiffany, so tall and slender? Only in my dreams! LOL
After stamping her onto some white cougar 100 lb card stock using black memento ink, I coloured her using prisma colours pencils except for the skin tones - I used copics - E000, E00, E01, E11, R20. I didn't keep a list of prisma colours - just way too many.
For the paper I used scraps from my scrap bin, but I believe these are from MME. I added glitter to the flowers, polka dots on her bag and to her dress ruffle. The resin flower is from the dollar store, and I thought it just finished off this nicely.
I hope you enjoyed my first of many posting for Stamping Bella images. Thanks for stopping by.
