Stenciled background

Hi everyone, well we are have way through another week!

Just a quick post today before I head off to work.  This card is showcasing another way to use your stencils.

I started out with my base card measuring 5.5 x 4.25.  I laid a strip of washi tape just inside the folded edge about 1/4".  My top layer measures 5.5 x 3.75.  Using this piece I laid my stencil on top then using antique linen distress ink and sponge I lightly added ink.

The feathers are from MFT - after die cutting them out I went around the edges with some versamark ink then added some gold embossing powder and heat embossed. Overlapped them a bit  onto the card then added a small bow tied with some twine.  Sentiment is from PTI, stamped using memento rich cocoa.

There you go, a quick card!  Thanks for the visit, see you real soon,

Pauline

What a cool idea with the washi tape. Makes the layering extra special. I think you may have just given me the layout for my mom's birthday card. Thanks! The feathers look amazing. Hugs!

I love how you've used your Washi tape and stencil for this! Such a lovely, subtle background, especially in the soft colors you chose. The gold edges on the feathers add an elegant touch. Very, very pretty!
