Hi everyone. It was a beautiful day today, the sun was shining, not much wind and temps reached a high of -9C. I even managed to squeeze in my daily walk (that I haven't been doing daily because of the frigid temps and snow/ice covered roads) this afternoon. The sun is starting to melt some of the ice/snow on the roadway, so made it manageable for walking.
I haven't had a chance to work on cards this week, but I do have a couple to show you I did last week.
I used a set from PTI called Mini Blooms. This is a fun set and it also has a matching die set.
This is my first card:
I started by stamping the corner image in Pumice Stone distress ink in the corner, then hand trimmed around the floral image. I then proceeded to cut out the flowers using the die and then used PTI inks- Berry Sorbet & Melon Berry to stamp the flowers on the pre-cut flowers. Background paper is from MME - (sorry can't remember what paper pack it came from). The sentiment comes with the stamp set and this was stamped in black versafine.
I cut two fish tale flags using the die from MFT. I also cut the leafy branch out of vellum using Memory Box Leafy Sprig. Layered these together then added a flower popped up on the fish tale flag to finish it off. Used my Wink of Stella pen (clear) to add some glitter to the flowers.
And for my second card:
Inks used are PIT - Hawaiian Shores & Hibiscus Burst. DP is something I had laying around. I ended up making 2 of each, one set for me and the other for my sale basket.
These were fun to do.
Thanks for stopping in today. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Hi Pauline,
Such pretty cards. Love both of them. Thank you.
Much love,

Oh, I love them both! The way you did the out of the box cutting is such a clever part of the design. Perfect with the fish tail tags and that little something extra on top for balance. Each one has colors perfectly chosen for the purpose of the card -- soft and muted for thinking of you, and bright and cheerful for a birthday greeting. Love the thought you put into your cards. It's always such a pleasure to visit!
Your cards are stunning!
Oh Pauline, I'm so behind in my blog list! Both these cards are beautiful and I love the layout!
