Fresh Freesia

Hello everyone.  Just popping in for a quick post today before heading to work.  It's going to be a very hot and high humidity day - forecasting temperatures to reach 102 this afternoon, way too hot for me. I'm more for around the low 70's!

Anyway, I purchased a few Altenew sets from our local store - The Paper Pickle a few weeks back.
I wanted to do a water colouring card using my Zig clean colour markers, so I decided to use
Fresh Freesia.

I embossed the image onto some Tim Holtz water colour paper using white embossing powder. From there I just added a bit of Zig markers and used my Koi water brush to move the colours. I was thrilled out it turned out.  Not sure if this is a Freesia colour or not, but I went with it anyway.

There are several sentiments with this set, it was hard to choose.  I stamped the sentiment in black versafine using my Misti to line it up.  I ended up stamping it a couple of times to get a nice crisp clean impression - that is what I love about the Misti.

I then trimmed it down to the size I wanted, used some SEI paper - Mimosa for the background and the back side I cut a couple of smaller strips and layered this behind the image.

To finish I added wink of stella clear pen to the flowers and some clear sequins.

Okay, must run - have a wonderful day, and I thank you again for stopping by.  See you soon,

Pauline

Ohhhh, this card is like a beautiful dream I don't want to wake up from! My heart fluttered when I saw it in Bloglovin'. I get so excited when you stamp! Your watercoloring is divine and such beautiful colors for your freesia. I think they come in just about all colors. The shading is beautiful, and you couldn't have chosen a more perfect paper for your background. Now I feel like watercoloring. See what you do? I hope you have good air conditioning. You'll melt going from one air conditioned place to another. We're supposed to get rain today so I'm hoping to do some stamping. Maybe I'll watercolor today!

Oh, Pauline, this is GORGEOUS! What a perfect image to watercolor, and your coloring is exquisite...and who cares what colors you use...I love it because they are so soft and the shading is perfect. It's a perfect finish too for this card and great DP. Love the simple layout to show off your watercolored image. And, yes, we love our MISTI for getting a really crisp sentiment. I do hope you get cooler temps. Here in South Florida, it's warmer than normal (highs ranging 90-95), but we have a breeze off the coast that really helps. So keep cool, my friend, and thanks for sharing this beauty!!! LOVE it!! Hugs, sweet friend!
