Brief is love but....

Well good morning everyone!  I'm sorry I haven't posted all week.  I think my mojo left me again.  As much as I wanted to stamp & colour I just  couldn't find it in me to do it.  So this morning I was up bright and early 6:20, grabbed a coffee and decided I was going to make a card before heading off to church.

I wanted to make a Valentine card for my son Mark and fiancee Anna.  I pulled out some Verve stamps and dies and went to town.  I found a sketch layout to use and this is what I came up with.
I had this done in 20 min!

Sentiment is from Verve - stronger love which was stamped in black versafine ink.  I used the rounded scallop frame from Verve, cut it out twice, once using dp, and once on cream c/s.   I replaced the center part of the dp and put in the cream and stamped my sentiment on that.

Flag stax is a MFT die, and the scallop border on top is a spellbinder die.

To finish this off I used my wink of stella pen to go around the edges of the cream sentiment where it inlays to the scallop border, cut some leaves from vellum, a couple of hearts, then added some sequins, a glittery enamel dot then tied some seam binding ribbon around the top to pull this all together.

There you have it 20 min from start to finish! Inside the card I stamped Happy Valentines Day!

supplies:
stamps - Verve - stronger love
ink - black versafine
paper - crate - fourteen, cream, scraps of red and dark pink, PTI vellum
dies - Verve - rounded scallop frame, from the heart (for the small hearts), sprightly springs (vellum leaves), spellbinder A2 bracket borders one, MFT flag stax dies
misc - wink of stella clear pen, sequins, enamel dot, seam binding ribbon

Thanks for your visit today.  I'm hoping this quick card got my 'mojo' going again. Have a wonderful day!

Pauline

20 minutes? That's a lot of fabulous, darling detail in 20 minutes! It sure goes a lot more quickly when you don't color, though. Really love the quote, and the vellum leaves are a nice touch. Dang, Pauline. Pretty sure I couldn't do this in twice the time.

Hi Pauline,

Lovely card. Mojo is missing this side of the pond too.

Much love,

Oh Pauline, you sound frustrated. Well. If you can create such a beautiful card in only 20 minutes, your mojo certainly isn't gone. You have a lot of beautiful elements in this card - vellum leaves, hearts, sequins, scallop edging, etc. and a lovely saying. I love how all these items tie in so nicely together. Don't beat yourself up - you still got it girl! Don't be so hard on yourself. Lots of us would love your degree of mojo even at the level you feel you are at now.

HA! I wish I could create a card in 20 minutes that looked anything like this. It's perfect for your lovebirds. :-)

Um, your mojo didn't leave! You made that card in 20 minutes? It takes me 20 minutes to decide on an image LOL. I love the layout - will store that away to CASE later 😀
