Special Delivery

Hello everyone.  Well I hope you survived your Monday.  I always find Mondays a tiring day, I guess it's because I was just off for 2 days and then it's getting back into the swing of things.

Today I have a baby card to share.  I using a stamp from the Justrite stamp set called Special Delivery.  I stamped it using black memento and coloured using copics.  I used prismacolour pencils for the grassy area.

After cutting the image out using a rectangle spellbinders die I left the die in place and sponged some antique linen distress ink around the edges.
Cut a border using nellie snellens flower border from PTI - yellow bitty box basics paper. I layered this behind the image. I also used the same yellow paper to stamp my sentiment on then cut a fishtail flag. Finished off with some tiny buttons and some glossy accents to the glasses.

Supplies:
stamps - Justrite - Special delivery, bundle of joy vintage labels 5
dies -  spellbinders A2 matting basics b die, nellie snellen border die
paper - Cougar white & cream 110 lb, SU pistachio pudding, Simple Stores - baby steps, PTI - bitty box basics
ink - black memento, black versafine, copics - C00, C01, C02, C03, E000, E00, E01, E33, Y00, Y11, Y13, Y15, Y35, YR15, B21, B23, R08, prismacolour pencils - limepeel, kelly green, kelp green, distress antique linen

Thanks for visiting.  Have a wonderful day.

Hi Pauline. What a beautiful baby card. I love how you coloured the grass with your pencils - it looks so real. The sponging in the corners looks great. Yes, this certainly is a special delivery. Thanks for sharing

This is so cute! I always loved this set, and I adore baby cards . Your coloring is so soft and perfect. Such sweet papers, colors, and design. The sponging softens it even more and I love the tiny buttons. My last coloring episode was a disaster. Mondays at work were always exceedingly busy and tiring. I spent my Monday (yesterday) outdoors with Rich and the dogs. I still thank my lucky stars every day.

I know that most of the time bears, bunnies or ducks are the animal of choice on baby cards, but I have always loved those made with storks. I mean, get real, we all know that's where babies come from. LOL It's a fantastic card, but you make nothing but those kind. :-)

Mondays are a drag… but not today, it's Family Day! A day to spend with my hubby and it just might be a pjs type of day...catching up on my blog comments, some surfing and some stamping too. I love making baby cards and this one you've made is just beautiful. That image is so cute and I love the soft colors of the papers you've chosen.
