Love is in the air....

Hello everyone! I'm a little late but Happy New Year to all - honestly where did 2015 go?  When 2015 left so did my mojo. I've tried many times to sit and make a card over the holidays and I just can't do it.  Do you ever get like that? I hope I get it back shortly.  I had big intentions of making many cards for my sale basket over the holidays.

But..... remember when I was on the design team for SCS, well we are not to post the cards we make for SCS for 6 months on our blog or publications,  so now I can start to share the cards I have made for them.

My image is from Stamping Bella -  Emily & Ryan under the umbrella.

I coloured the image using caran d'ache pencils & gamsol .  After colouring I cut the image down to the size I needed, layered this onto a piece of pink card stock then stitched around the edges.

Designer paper is from Bo bunny - prairie chic.  The sentiment I used is from a Verve set called - heart to heart.

Finished off with glitter, pearls and silk ribbon.

supplies:
Stamp - Stamping Bella - Emily & Ryan under the umbrella, Verve - heart to heart
ink - black memento, black versafine caran d'ache pencils and gamsol
paper - white cougar, pink, Bo bunny - prairie chic
misc - glitter, pearls, pink silk ribbon

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope my creative juices return soon!

Happy 2016 to you Pauline! I rarely make resolutions but I do hope to be much better at commenting this year. Please know that I adore all your cards and am constantly amazed by you...its just that the last 7 months have been a wee bit stressful. I know how you feel about losing your mojo and not being able to fill your card basket. I have been sick, sick, sick since Tuesday and am barely out of bed - never mind in the stamp room. I know yours will return and judging by this card it never left :). Beautiful colours and shading and I love the stitching around the image rather than the card base. I must remember that.

This is so darling, Pauline! Some of my favorite paper, and I always love your Bella cards. It's wonderful seeing your pencil coloring. You're so good with them and I'm continually inspired. I used mine yesterday again, finally. I just love them. I understand about the disappearing mojo. It happens sometimes when you haven't stamped for a while. I think mine is missing, too. I'll be ecstatic to see your DD cards here, though! Share away! Happy new year!

Hi Pauline,

Your card is really lovely. There are a lot of people who have lost their mojo since Christmas, mine included. Hope we find it soon.

Much love,

Hi Pauline. Your card is beautiful. You sure know how to use those pencils and gamasol. A great match of colours and designer paper and the stitching makes your card elegant. Don't worry, I'm sure your mojo will be back soon. I the meantime, it will be nice to see your SCS cards

Oh, Pauline, this is gorgeous, and I remember it from the Dirty Dozen gallery. It really popped. What exquisite pencil coloring with wonderful shading. And I love this adorable image! Just the sweetest! Having been on the DD, I can tell you that it's normal (IMHO) to have no mojo and feel not as inspired. But you have it in you...you've proved that. So just relax and take an image (perhaps a digi...hehe), and just color with no expectations. It will come back, my friend. I know it! Hugs, and wishing you a blessed new year!
