Lilac time

Thanks everyone for your wonderful comments and support regarding on becoming a 'dirty girl' over on SCS.
It was such an exciting day yesterday when my first posts were revealed.  Such good times.  I can see why they say your 6 months will fly on by, well I can't believe one month is down and I'm starting to work on my cards for next month!  Don't worry, my blog posts will not be forgotten, although I can't post my dirty girl cards  on my blog for 6 months, I will still make cards to post here.  At first it might be a bit slow on my blog, but it will pick up once I get a routine going.  I hope you continue to stick with me through this process.

So that brings me to a post tonight.  I received my order from Power Poppy a couple of weeks ago, but haven't had a chance to use it.  I'm using one of the images from the set Lilac Time. I am also going to enter this into their monthly challenge - Pencil me in.

I love how I coloured the image, but over all just not pleased on the papers I used, maybe too much purple and green, I don't know for sure, but it's okay.  Here is what I did:

I stamped the image onto which cougar card stock using black memento. I used my prismacolour pencils to colour and blended with gamsol.  After cutting out the image I left the die in place and sponged some light purple around the edges.  Not sure of the colour I used because I just used one of my sponges that I used with purple ink.

For my ribbon, it started out to be white, so I using my V15 copic marker to colour it to match the lilacs and cardstock.  Added some glitter to the flowers to finish this off.

supplies:
stamp - Power Poppy - Lilac time
ink- black memento, prismacolour pencils - canary yellow, deco yellow, sunburst yellow, chartreuce, olive green, dark green, limepee, lavender, dahlia purple, tuscan red, imperial violeet, peacock blue, sky blue light, peach beige, french grey 20%, french grey 30%, warm grey 50%, warm grey 70%, sandbar brown, caribbean blue,
paper - cougar white, K & C - celeste, purple, scrap plaid
dies - spellbinder - labels 22
misc - glitter, white silk ribbon - coloured using copic V15

Thanks for stopping by, till next time.....

Pauline

Oooh, I'm so happy to see this gorgeous image colored in pencils by YOU! You've always done such a beautiful job with your pencils and Gamsol and you're a huge inspiration. This is sooo pretty in the purple and green. Very fresh and spring-like. I still need to get over to SCS to see what you're sharing this month. A whole bunch of new Pauline cards all at once -- how exciting!
