and the stockings were hung

Hope everyone is having a good week.  I'm back as promised with a Power Poppy image to share with you.

I think this is one of my favourite cards I've done this fall as far as Christmas cards go.

I'm using the stocking from Marcella's latest release. I am entering this into the challenge over on Power Poppy for Peep of the Week.

I started by stamping the image onto some 110 lb cougar cream cardstock using black memento ink. Image was coloured using copics (colours listed below).  I then cut out the image using a circle die, applied gold krylon pen around the edge, then layered this onto a piece of light green c/s cut using a scallop circle. Designer paper is from MME- Lost & Found Christmas.  The burgundy piece is layered onto a piece of cream card stock which I applied a gold krylon pen along the edges  to make it look like gold c/s underneath - a much cheaper way than using gold c/s.  I used one of the sentiments from the set, stamped it in versafine olympia green onto a piece of cream c/s  then created the flag tag.

Finished off with some gold ribbon, wink of stella clear pen,  and in the center of poinsettia I added some champagne crushed glass glitter.  Another card for my sale basket!

Supplies:
stamps - Power Poppy
paper - MME - Lost & Found Christmas, cream, dark green, light green
ink- black memento, olympia green versafine, copics (G20, G43, G94, R29, R89, R81, r83, R85, E50, E51, E53, W01, 0)
dies - spellbinder circle & scallop circle
misc - gold krylon pen, wink of stella clear crystal pen, stampendous champagne crushed glass glitter, gold ribbon

Thanks for stopping in, enjoy your week.

Oh, how exciting it is to see this gorgeous card today, Pauline! Both cards you've made with this set have been extraordinary. The dark red on this is so rich and especially lovely with the pinkish tone of the poinsettia. Love the candy cane colors, too. I have yet to use this particular stamp, but I'm yearnin' more than ever now!
