Do I need a crown?

I'm back today to share a fun card with you.  I have been collecting some of the Art Impressions stamps, so finally got around to colouring one up a few weeks back.  This image is called Crown Set.

After stamping the image using black memento ink, I proceeded to colour her using prismacolour pencils and gamsol.  Skin tones were done using  copics E000, E00, E01, R20.

After colouring, I cut the image out using an MFT die Rounded Banner Stax.  Leaving the die in place I sponged some light aqua ink around the image.

Designer paper is from Authentique - flourish 6x6 pad. I used the MFT Die-namics blueprints #12 to cut this out.  Love how the stitching around the edge is built right into the die. The sentiment which comes with the stamp set is stamped using black versafine, then I cut it out using an MFT flag stax die.  To get the stitched edge I placed the square stitched die where I wanted the edge of my sentiment tag to be then run that through my big shot to cut the end off which left the stitched edge.  I added some pop dots behind the sentiment and lined it up along the stitched edge of the dp to make it look like it was stitched on.

Finished off with some white flock on her jacket trim, then dotted my quickie glue pen here and there on the fur and added a bit of glitter to give a bit of sparkle.  To fill in some of the open space around her, I added some sequins from Verve.

Supplies:
Stamp: Art Impressions: Crown Set #4370
Ink: black memento, black versafine, prismacolour pencils, copics
Paper: Authentique - flourish, pink, white & light grey
Dies: MFT - flag stax, blueprints #12, rounded banner stax
Misc: white flock, sequins (Verve), glitter

Well that's it for today, I hope you enjoyed my card.  See you again real soon, have a wonderful day!

hee hee You know I love the AI characters, especially the old ladies. Their characters just explode off cards. Fantastic coloring Pauline and the flocking on her color is genius. Fantastic card! Hugs!

You do such a great job with your Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol! I could never seem to get that quite right without taking FOREVER. Love the shading and those pastel sequins, and the flock trim is awesome! Fantastic fun image and sentiment -- duh. Tee hee! I love it when you stamp these fun images, but I know I say I love it when you stamp flowers, too. I just love it when you stamp ANYTHING! You're one of my favorites, for sure, and I always look forward to seeing your cards.
