Good morning everyone. Hope your weekend is going well.
Thinking that spring is on it's way, we had snow again last night! Will this winter every end? Even though it was a small amount it's still snow!!
With spring in mind and Easter not too far off, I was working on some Easter cards for my sale basket. I'm using a stamp set from Justrite - Easter Blessings.
I started by stamping the cross on white c/s using Versafine smokey grey. I then coloured the leaves and around the cross using copics. I then took my wink of stella pen (hey for you locals Kim is now carrying the wink of stella pens at Paper Pickle - they are a must have - just saying!) and applied the glitter in the rays behind the cross - it is so pretty in real.
The rest is pretty straight forward, I will list all my ingredients below. Finished off with some soft yellow seam binding ribbon and pearls.
Supplies:
Paper - cougar 110lb white, soft sky
Stamp - Justrite - Easter blessings
Ink- Versafine - smokey grey
Copics - Y00, Y02, Y11, G40, G24, R20
Dies - Spellbinder - oval, A2 Filigree Delight (I used pop dots to adhere this piece to my card), Justrite custom die - vintage labels six
Misc - wink of stella pen, pearls, pop dots, seam binding ribbon
Have a great day!

Blue poppies
Hi blogging friends. I have a quick post for you tonight. As you know I am a big fan of flowers - anything flowers and I have to have it. Penny Black's latest release had me swooning! My card today is showcasing both a new Penny Black stamp and matching die, both purchased at
The Paper Pickle - my local craft store.
(I was inspired by the sample that was sent to The Paper Pickle for display)
I started out by stamping the poppies twice using SU Soft Sky. I then used the matching die and cut the poppies out of Soft sky as well - I cut this twice so I could pop up the poppies. I glued one set of the poppies to my card front, then for the other set I cut off the poppies from the stem and then applied versamark and embossed with 'sticky powder'. I then poured on crystal glitter ritz and burnished it - so sparkly! Used some SU dimensionals to pop up the poppies.
I also added a bit of glitter to the top of the small flower buds.
Now, as much as I love white space on a card, it just seamed that I was missing something on this, so pulled out my MFT Die-namics Blueprints 12 and used the small flag stax and cut this out of Soft sky. Love the stitching marks on this. Glued this to the top left corner, applied a couple of light blue pearls, then finished off with a tiny silk bow (made with my bow maker). Card measures 5.50 x 4.25.
Supplies:
Cardstock - SU Soft Sky, Cougar 110lb white
Stamps - Penny Black - blooming garden
Ink - SU soft Sky, Versamark
Die- Penny black - poppy, MFT - Die-namics - blueprints 12
Misc - 'sticky powder' (sorry no company name on pkg - bought at a craft show), glitter ritz,
silk ribbon, pearls, dimensionals, bow maker
Thanks for stopping in, enjoy your week.

On this day...
Happy Friday! and it's a 3 day weekend for me - woohoot!
I'm back today with another wedding card to share. When I saw this image from Magenta at Paper Pickle a couple of weeks ago, I thought of wedding right away, but then was kind of intimidated because I wasn't sure how to show case it - whether to just emboss, to colour etc. I pulled out some different Kaisercraft 6x6 packs and as I was flipping through them I came across this pale green with a silver embossed design on it -so pretty IRL. To keep everything co-ordinated, I stamped the image on a piece of paper from the same collection using versafine smokey grey, and then the rest all came together.
The sentiment is from PTI, which also stamped using versafine smokey grey. I made the flag tag by cutting a piece of white card stock using the MFT flag stax die, I then stamped the sentiment close to one of the ends, then I slipped the stamped sentiment back into the die to where I wanted to cut the other end off, then ran it back through my big shot, and voila, you have a double end flag tag.
Recipe:
Cardstock - white 110 lbs, SU sage green, Kaisercraft - On this day
Stamps - Magenta- crafty individuals (sorry no name on the pkg), PTI - propose a toast
Inks- versafine smokey grey
Dies - MFT - mini hybrid rose, flax stax, Spellbinders - floral oval, oval, Spellbinder die-lites - sprigs
Misc - pearls, silk ribbon, wink of stella pen (for roses on image)
See you soon, have a great day!

Best wishes
Hi everyone. I can't believe where this past week went and it's Sunday evening already, which means back to work tomorrow, (insert sad face). With spring time arriving (well I hope so anyways, we had a bit of snow again this morning), I get a lot of requests for wedding cards, so thought I would get ahead.
I started by making my card base measuring 6.25 x 4.5. From here I adjusted the middle piece so I had enough room to add the side borders. The main center piece is done by using an embossing/cut folder (designables) from Marianne Designs. After I embossed, I cut a couple of borders using a Cherry Lynn die. I glued these to each end of the center piece, then ran a string of pearls down each end to cover the seam. Flower is from MFT, leaves are from Marianne designs. Sentiment is from PTI.
I popped the layer up so that you were able to see some dimension between the card base and the embossed layer.
Finished off with some glitter in the center of the rose and pearls on the sentiment piece.
Supplies:
Paper: Cream c/s 100 lb weight
Ink: black versafine
Sentiment: PTI - propose a toast stamp set
Dies: Marianne Designables # DS0907, Marianne designables - flower & leaves # LR0156, Cherry Lynn die - Anastasia border, Spellbinder - timeless rectangles, MFT - mini hybrid heirloom roses
Misc: pearls, glitter
Thanks for the visit, I'll be back during the week with another wedding card to share. Have a good week.

Blooming Garden
Hello and Happy Monday everyone. Hope you had a good weekend.
As promised I'm back today to share a new Penny Black image I purchased a couple of weeks ago at Paper Pickle.
As you know I love flowers, so when I saw this in the store, I knew I had to have it.
This stamp is from the set called Blooming Garden.
Image was stamped on 100 lb white card stock using black memento ink. I then coloured with copics. After cutting out the image I sponged some distress antique linen while the die was in place.
For my base card I cut 2 pieces using grand labels twenty-three die, and then I scored one of them about 1/2 from the top, then applied glue to the 1/2 piece and adhered to the front of the card.
Papers used are from Kaisercraft - Remember Me. I thought the paper was a perfect fit for this image, being that it had some embossed poppies in the corner.
Finished off with some red seam binding ribbon, glitter and pearls.
Copics used: R12, 20, 24, 29, 89, G43, 46, 94
Inks: black memento, distress antique linen
Dies: SB skinny ovals, floral ovals, grand labels twenty-three
Paper: Blush blossom, river rock, cougar white, Kaisercraft
Extras: glitter, pearls, seam binding ribbon, bow maker
Have a wonderful day!

Smiles can fill the world
Hello blogging friends. Hope your week is going well. Another beautiful day - cold winds feeling like -19 but the sun is shining. Weekend is hovering around the 0C mark, so that should warm things up a bit.
Today's card features another flower from the same set as my last post from Flourishes. This one is using the Wisteria flower. I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut out the image then I stamped it using black memento. After colouring it with copics I was trying to figure out a layout. I noticed in my - parts of cards I tried but didn't use bin - this white spellbinder layer already cut and ready to go.

So basically I just had to come up with the card base. I layers a piece of SU elegant eggplant behind the cut spellbinder piece then layered this onto a white card base. Card measures 6.25 x 4.5.
Spellbinder die used is Resplendent Rectangles. The sentiment is from a Justrite set. - Black eyed Susan.
Finished off with some pearls and some purple seam binding ribbon.
Next up is a new Penny Black image - stay tuned. Enjoy your week.

Footprints
Hello friends. I'm sharing today a card I made using a stamp set from Flourishes. This set is from their last release called Flowers for Jan. I'm so sorry to see that Flourishes is closing, they are one of my favourite stamp companies.
For my card I'm using the Peony image from the set. I started by using my Silhouette Cameo & Flourishes file cut to cut out the image. I then stamp the Peony using black memento onto the cut piece. I coloured the image using copics.
I used Flourishes Pierced Classic Frame die to cut the white background, then sponged some light pink ink while the die was in place. I then stamped the sentiment that comes with the set using black versafine.
Papers are from Kaisercraft - The Lake House. I raised the Peony up using foam dots. Added pearls, a bit of tulle, and my wink of stella pen to finish off the card. Card measures 5.5 x 5.5.
Copic colours - R81, 83, 85, Y21, YG93, G21,24,28
Thanks for the visit. Enjoy your week.
