On this day...

Happy Friday! and it's a 3 day weekend for me - woohoot!

I'm back today with another wedding card to share.  When I saw this image from Magenta at Paper Pickle a couple of weeks ago, I thought of wedding right away, but then was kind of intimidated because I wasn't sure how to show case it - whether to just emboss, to colour etc. I pulled out some different Kaisercraft 6x6 packs and as I was flipping through them I came across this pale green with a silver embossed design on it -so pretty IRL.  To keep everything co-ordinated, I stamped the image on a piece of paper from the same collection using versafine smokey grey, and then the rest all came together.

The sentiment is from PTI, which also stamped using versafine smokey grey.  I made the flag tag by cutting a piece of white card stock using the MFT flag stax die, I then stamped the sentiment close to one of the ends, then I slipped the stamped sentiment back into the die to where I wanted to cut the other end off, then ran it back through my big shot, and voila, you have a double end flag tag.

Recipe:
Cardstock - white 110 lbs, SU sage green, Kaisercraft - On this day
Stamps - Magenta- crafty individuals (sorry no name on the pkg), PTI - propose a toast
Inks- versafine smokey grey
Dies - MFT - mini hybrid rose, flax stax, Spellbinders - floral oval, oval, Spellbinder die-lites - sprigs
Misc - pearls, silk ribbon, wink of stella pen (for roses on image)

See you soon, have a great day!

Of course you had to have the stamp! Of all the birdcage stamps I've seen, this has to be the prettiest! I'm glad you were able to use it right away. You're so good at that. I tend to sometimes be intimidated by my stamps, too, and they get set aside while I use the old familiar, comfortable stamps. I'm trying to do better. You certainly did find the perfect companions for this stamp. I just love the smokey gray and muted blues. Also love how you stamped on the polka dot paper. That looks fabulous! And all finished off with the pretty flower and ribbon -- swoonworthy!
