Lenten rose

Hi everyone.  Hope you are enjoying your weekend.  Today, I am sharing a card I coloured using one of my favourite sets from Flourishes.  I absolutely love their stamps, they stamp so clean and crisp, as well as they have the most beautiful flowers, and I love anything flower/nature related.

I ended up colouring two of these, I kept one and the other I sent out to Dresden in my 'for sale basket' at my hairdressers.

The image I'm using is from the set Lenten Rose.

I stamped the image on some white cards stock using black memento ink.  I then coloured the image using copics.  R30, R32, R83, G40, G43, G46, G93, BG000, G000, G02, YR31., C00, C02. I used a Spellbinder die called Decorative Labels Twenty-Two.  This die has such beautiful detail around the edges.

Designer paper is from Memory Box.  I also used a piece of SU soft sky for the layer behind the dp. To create the  scallop edge on the lower part of the designer paper I cut it using one of the dies from the Scalloped Borders Two set.

I added some glitter to the centers of the flowers used my new Wink of Stella Brush.  Love this pen. It is liquid glitter and it paints on.  I tried to take a close up picture of the glitter but I couldn't get a good enough picture to show you.  I then raised the image using pop dots. To finish it off I coloured  some white seam binding ribbon using my copic marker, to match my roses. I used R32.  Made a two layer bow and then adhered a soft aqua button.

I'm off to colour some more.  See you again real soon.
Have yourself a wonderful day!

Pauline, your flowers are so beautifully colored, and the card all together is just a soft and lovely dream. I don't think anyone has prettier flowers than Flourishes. I'll bet people are just ooohing and ahhhing over your card basket all the time. I have trouble keeping mine stocked ('cause I'm a slowpoke stamper), and I worry about cards requiring extra postage. Sometimes I wish I could just throw caution to the wind and pile on the flowers, bows, buttons, etc. I usually make those cards for my own use as I don't mind extra postage. I just love it when you color, and your Flourishes cards are always breathtaking!

Yeeeuuum! Your color blending is superb. I do believe my recent Flourishes purchase may become an obsession. LOL. Gorgeous design too Pauline. Hugs!
