I love my puppy

Hi everyone, happy Monday!  Well it is for me anyways, I have the day off.

After colouring my last digi image (see previous post), I was on the search for more digi's.  I have a request from a friend for a 4yr old birthday  card for her grand-daughter.  I don't have very many 'little girl' images, so I went searching for some digi's.  I found the image on Etsy- the company is called All Dressed Up.  I love her images, so whimsical.  The image I chose is called I Love my Puppy.  I thought this would be perfect for a little girl.  What do you think?

I used copics to colour the image.  I'm sorry I didn't keep a list of the colours, there was just too many on my desk, as I kept grabbing colours to work with.  The grass was done with prismacolour pencils.
I then cut out the image using MFT - Die-namics rounded banner stax (largest die). For the layer behind the image, I traced the die on a  piece of rose bazzill c/s then cut it out.

Designer paper is from Prima called Fairy Flora.  I didn't want to overkill the card with lots of embellishments, because I wanted the main focus to be the image, but it needed something.  I decided to off-center the image to the right, then cut a couple of flag tags using cut off scraps from the same paper.  Added a small bow made of PTI silk ribbon and then adhered a pale pink chiffon rosette (think I purchased these at Michael's a long time ago).

Of course a 'little girl' cards needs glitter right?  Added glitter to her dress and some of the flowers using a quickie glue pen and deco glamour dust crystal glitter.

I'm so smitten with this card, it is so 'girly'.  I love how it turned out.  I will make this card again someday.

Okay off to colour some more.  My next card to share is a card made with stencils.  Stay tuned....

Have a great day,

Pauline

I can't say enough, and your coloring is amazing! You can get so hooked on digis. The search can take you far and wide and you can spend hours looking. And when you find something you can have it instantly. I LOVE it! I can't wait for your next card!
