Graceful still life

Hello everyone! I guess it's a Happy Monday since I was off today due to a Stat Holiday here in Canada - Victoria Day, but the sad news is that my week long vacation is over, back to work tomorrow!  Bill and I have been busy this past week, walked a lot of trails, took lots of pictures, did lots of yard work (which never seems to end), and I didn't even have time to make a card! I have a couple of birthday's coming up over the next few weeks so need to get back into my routine.

Today's card is another one I made for Mother's Day.  This one actually went to my BFF - Nancy. Nancy's husband requested a card for her for Mother's day.  I knew she would love this, and she did!  I"m using Powerpoppy's Graceful Still Life digital image.

I used prismacolour pencils to colour.  I then cut it out using  MFT stitched rectangle die.
I die cut the border from white c/s - die is by Find it Trading - african border.  Designer paper is Kaisercraft - Kaleidoscope.  The card base is a bit darker here in the picture than in real, I guess I woud call it a deep coral.

To finish off I added a small flag banner and added an enamel dot and a small silk bow. Used my wink of stella clear pen to add some shimmer to the flowers.

I'm glad you stopped by today.  Have a wonderful day!

Pauline

A week is never long enough, is it? Seems you're just getting started and then have to go back to work, sigh... Those days are still fresh in my memory. Glad you have this beautiful card to share today, though! Such a sweet, feminine image and the softness of Prismas is perfect for it. Look at those dogwoods -- beautifully done. Gorgeous die cut border and cute little bow. Now all I want to do is color, but my to-do list is long today. Have a good week, Pauline!

Ah, yes, I agree with Leslie. It's never quite enough, and yet you did get a lot done. It's just hard going back to work. I love this gorgeous card, Pauline, and of course Nancy would LOVE it! What a beautiful image and such a lovely layout. I love the decorative die, and your coloring is beautiful. I always love the small details that make such a big difference. The sweet little flag banner at the top with the bitty bow and enamel dot are such beautiful finishing touches. It's stunning! Hope your shorter week goes quickly and that you get back into a card-making routine! Hugs! xoxo

I bet she loved this, super sweet! The lacey edge at the bottom gives a rather delicate touch. Adorable little pennant and brad at the top. Super sweet touches and very sweet MD card.
