Flower Cascade

Hello there!

Just got back from my early morning walk.  It's a beautiful day, sun just over the horizon, air is cool, no humidity, and temperatures to reach mid 80's.  A perfect summer day (but mid 70's is more to my liking - just saying!)

Today's card is one I made a few months ago.  Yes I'm holding out on you guys - lol!  Stamp used is from Penny Black - flower cascade.

I embossed the image onto some white 100 lb card stock using white embossing powder.  I then coloured the image using Zig Clean colour markers.  I scribbled the markers onto my craft mat then picked up the colours using my watercolour brush. Because this wasn't watercolour paper I tried not to use too much water.

Once dried, I then cut it out using MFT - die-namics blueprints #27, the large scallop die.  Then layered onto a piece of purple c/s, added some yellow gingham ribbon in the bottom right corner, then white silk ribbon tied in the center for a bow.

To finish off I used some Nuvo jewel  drops in pale periwinkle around the bouquet in various sizes of droplets.

Whatever you day has in store for you, enjoy!  See you again real soon,

Pauline

What????? A few months ago? I should SAY you're holding out! I can't believe you waited so long to share this gorgeous creation! Ohhhh, the colors and your watercoloring... sigh... Love that little border of purple peeking out. Just the right touch. And so pretty what you did with the ribbon. Jewel Drops are on my wish list. Their transparency is so pretty. What a gorgeous stamp this. Looks like a delight to color. Can't wait till I can start buying stamps again. Your day sounds beautiful! We were out all yesterday afternoon at the sand dune lakes again, and most afternoons I've been in the garden. It's hard to get things done inside in the summertime! Thanks for finally sharing your gorgeous card with such beautiful and inspiring watercoloring, Pauline!

Oh, Pauline, this is GORGEOUS! I love your watercoloring and the beautiful framing! And you certainly know how to add the right bows. I love the gingham with the small silk ribbon...just a little bitty one that is perfection! Yes, I think you have been holding out on us...haha! I agree with Leslie. I'm so glad you had a wonderful day and hope that it doesn't get too hot. Thanks for another beautiful and inspiring card, sweet friend! I love your work! Hugs!
