Morning glory

Hello! Hope you enjoying your weekend.

Today's card features a stamp set from Justrite.

I stamped the image onto some cougar 100 lb white cardstock and coloured using copics.  Once coloured, I fussy cut out the image.

I used Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles Two for both layers.  Once the white layer was cut I left the die in place I sponged some soft pink ink around the edges. I then used the largest die from this set to cut out the pink layer.

Once the base layer and the other two layers where adhered, I added the cut out morning glory.  I also added a sentiment (PTI) and stamped it in black versafine.

Finished off with some clear wink of stella on the flowers and a couple of enamel dots, and dome pearls.

Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful day!

Pauline

Hi Pauline,

Oh so pretty. Love Spellbinder dies.
Its been a Bank Holiday today and its been such a hot weekend.
Don't know whether you have heard about the terrorist bombings in Manchester. I live about an hour away and words cant explain how you feel when such young children are killed. 22 in total with over 100 injured and they kill it in the name of religion!!! Never.
Sorry about the rant but its on your mind all the time when you see the pictures of the grieving parents. Rant over.
Anyway hope you had a lovely weekend.

Much love,

Oooh, what a sweet surprise this morning! Your Morning Glories are gloriously beautiful, especially framed up with those pretty Spellbinders. I like that die set -- not too fancy, not too plain. Cute little bow and perfectly matched enamel dots. I just love it! White Morning Glory grows wild here. They bloom and go to seed just on the other side of our back fence. We don't dare let them into the garden as they take over and strangle everything. They're a beautiful sight in their place, though. The hybrids aren't so crazy. You did such a lovely job with the coloring and cutting, sigh...

Oh goodness those pinks are delish. The way you've created the layers is so pretty. This one won't stay in the basket for long. Hugs!

Hello Pauline - beautiful card. I love the soft pink colours and you sure know how to combine dies. It is amazing. I rarely cut out my image - I should do this more often. Your image is placed perfectly and finished off with a dainty bow.
