Hello! Hope you enjoying your weekend.
Today's card features a stamp set from Justrite.
I stamped the image onto some cougar 100 lb white cardstock and coloured using copics. Once coloured, I fussy cut out the image.
I used Spellbinders Romantic Rectangles Two for both layers. Once the white layer was cut I left the die in place I sponged some soft pink ink around the edges. I then used the largest die from this set to cut out the pink layer.
Once the base layer and the other two layers where adhered, I added the cut out morning glory. I also added a sentiment (PTI) and stamped it in black versafine.
Finished off with some clear wink of stella on the flowers and a couple of enamel dots, and dome pearls.
Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful day!

Live, Laugh & Love
Hello everyone. Hope your enjoying your weekend. It's a long weekend for us in Canada- we are celebrating Victoria Day tomorrow - in honor of Queen Victoria's birthday. It's nice for me because I was on holidays all last week, so this just adds another day to my vacation :).
Today's card is using Penny Black's Flower Cascade.
I started by stamping the image to the top right corner using black memento, onto some white 100 lb cougar cardstock and then coloured using copics. I then cut the image using MFT stitched rectangle.
I sponged some SU certainly celery and SU soft sky around the edges.
I pulled out my MISTI to stamp the sentiment which is also from Penny Black - Happy wishes. I love using the Misti for sentiments, because most times (at least for me) it doesn't always stamp nice and crisp, so this way you can restamp multiple times.
To finish off I added some sequins and clear wink of stella to the flowers.
I gave this card to my girlfriend at work a couple of weeks ago.
Thanks for visiting today, enjoy your day!

Mother's Day #2
As Mother's Day has come and gone I still have one more card to share with you.
I'm using some PTI dies for this card. The focus point is using a die called Cutaway Tags - spring die. This die also comes with a coordinating stamp set. You can either colour the flowers once you cut out the tag or you can use the coordinating stamps - ink - and then stamp over the image on the die cut. In this case I used the stamps to stamp on the die cut piece. I also cut a piece of tiny polka dot vellum and layer it behind the tag. I then layered it onto a scrap piece of dp, using PTI - tag sale - quilted die. For my card base and back ground layer I used PTI- Noted scallop A2 vertical dies.
For the sentiment I cut another cutaway tag and trimmed off the center part, so I could stamp the sentiment and pop it up. This set comes with a variety of sentiments that can be used.
Finished off with some ribbon, and glitter on the flowers.
I wish you a wonderful day.

Happy Mother's Day
Hello everyone. Just popping in to wish all the Mom's a Happy Mothers Day. I still have a couple of Mother's Day cards to share that I made a few weeks ago.
The one today, is using a digital image from Power Poppy called - sunset sway. This digi comes in 2 variations - one with a butterfly and one with out.
After printing it off, I used prismacolour pencils to colour. I then cut it out using spellbinders labels twenty-eight. Leaving the die in place I sponged a light layer of Memento new sprout around the edges. I then cut spellbinders A2 Devine Eleoquence using dark purple bazzil cardstock, and added a layer of light mauve behind it.
To finish off I added some lace, silk ribbon and sequins along with a bit of shimmer added to the flowers using my wink of stella clear pen.
Thanks for stopping by, and have a wonderful day!

Live well, laugh often......
Hello everyone. Just finishing up some cards last evening, and
thought I would share this one with you. This was made with no occasion
in mind, just a blank card inside, can be used for anything.
I started off using PTI Butterfly kit stencils. I love there kits, as I have a few of them now. they come with stamps, dies, and 3-4 layering stencils. I staarted by sponging Live waqua mist for the butterflies, then stamped the center of the butterflies using the same ink. Next stencil is the flowers - sponged summer sunrise, then stamped the centers with harvest gold, and for the purple ones, I sponged amethyst allure and then stamped using the same ink. The next stencil is the leaves which I sponged in spring moss & over stamped in same ink.
I then cut out my background using MFT wonky stitched rectangle.
For my sentiment I white embossed the sentiment from PTI Summer Hills. I then cut it out using one of the dies from MFT blueprints 13.
I finished off with some PTI polka dot ribbon, and a wooded butterfly from Studio Calico. I added some clear wink of stella to the butterfly for a bit of sparkle.
Well that's it for today, must head off to work (insert sad face).
I wish you all a happy and wonderful day, and many thanks for stopping by.

Spring showers brings May flowers!
I'll be so glad to see Sunday arrive. We have had nothing but constant rain 24hrs a day since Tues! It's been gloomy and damp as you can well imagine. Rivers are running over their banks in some areas, the ground is so saturated, there is just no where for the rain to go. We really need to see the sun! And besides this weather is putting a real damper on our spring birding! (just saying :) )
So with that being said, I thought I would share something bright and cheerful! I loved how this turned out as I made 4 of them, and one of them says "MOM" on the front rather than sending birthday wishes.
I embossed the image onto some Strathmore Mixed Media vellum surface paper ( thanks Leslie for mentioning this, it is beautiful paper to watercolour on)using white embossing powder and then watercoloured the image and background using my Zig Clean colour markers. Image is from Simon Says - Spring Flowers. I then cut out the image out using MFT x-stitch rectangle die. The pink paper was cut using one of the dies from MFT - die-namics blueprints 27.
I cut the 'sending' from black cardstock twice and then adhered together to give it a bit of stability and thickness. Die is from Simon Says as well.
I then stamped 'birthday wishes' using black versafine.
To finish off I added some sequins and coloured the flower with my clear wink of stella pen.
I have some more Mother's Day cards to make so might make a few in different colours.
Thanks for your visit, enjoy your day!

Spring has sprung
Good morning and Happy Monday. Although it is raining out it is still a good morning, since I"m off today. It was a cold weekend, still wearing winter coat, hat & mitts as we ventured down to Pt. Pelee National Park. It was a north west wind, which made it very cold. But non the less we were able to see some migrant warblers at the tip. We were lucky enough to see a Prairie Warbler (rare) but not a very good picture as it was gloomy and dark, but at least we can see we saw one! Some of the other varieties we saw were Yellow-rumped warbler, blue headed vireo, baltimore oriole, cape may, palm, black & white, warbling vireo, and a solitary sandpiper.
Since we are on the topic of birds, I thought I would share this card today. I'm using an image from the Flourishes LLC set called Spring has Sprung.
I stamped the image onto some white cougar 100 lb c/s, then coloured using prismacolour pencils.
I then cut it out using a Papertrey Ink die called Fun frames die. I actually cut the rectangle piece a second time so I could layer it under the image piece for a bit of dimension.
I used my MFT- Die-namics stitched cover-up companion - vertical die to cut my designer paper - Pink Paislee- butterfly garden. I used papers from the same collection for the 2 inserts. Love how this looks! To finish off, I added some silk ribbon, clear sequins and used my wink of stella clear pen for a bit of shimmer on the flowers.
This card could be used for many occasions, but I am using it as a Mother's Day card!
I hope I have inspired you in some way today. Have a wonderful day, and thanks for your visit.
