Joyful lilies

I know this month's challenge over at Power Poppy is no lines, but I already had this one printed off and partially coloured when the challenge came out.  I've never tackled no lines but I think I need to try this out sometime this month.

For my card today I'm using Power Poppy's digital image called Joyful Lilies

After printing it out I used the scallop die from MFT's blueprints die-namics #27. I used my very neglected Caran d'Ache pencils to colour.  I wasn't sure what colour to 'ground' it with around the edges, so I grabbed one of my ink daubers that had green ink on it.  I every so lightly sponged the ink around the image.  I think took a  yellow/orange dauber and did the same.  Love the orange/yellow hue around the flowers.

I added a piece of scrap designer paper in behind the image piece to add some colour.  I also punched a small hole under the bow to thread the silk ribbon in behind and then added a bow tied with my bow easy.
Used a white gel pen to add some white dots onto some of the flower petals, then sequins to finish off.

I hope to get some more colouring done this weekend if time permits.  See you again soon,

Thanks for your visit,

Pauline

Oh, oh, OH! The no-lines technique couldn't make this any prettier, Pauline. What a special treat this Saturday morning. You colored with pencils? Wow, again! I do love the soft shading around the image, and the white dots. So pretty how you did the ribbon and bow, too. This image makes a perfect Easter card.

Absolutely gorgeous! Your attention to detail is stunning. The colour combination of your shading is beautiful. So smart the way you attached your ribbon and love the white dots on your lilies. You have a talent for pulling all the elements together in a great design and no card is complete without the right placement of sequins. Hugs.

Oh my, Pauline, these are gorgeous, and your coloring is amazing! I've been trying to work on using some pencils and have only gotten to the point of adding some final details. But you do it from the start...I so admire you and your work! Beautifully colored, and it gives such life to your lilies! And I love how you've grounded them! Exquisite card, sweet friend! Hugs!
