Santa's speedy delivery

Hello everyone, are you still with me? Sorry for the lack of posts lately. Long days at work, lots of overtime due to year end which doesn't leave much time for card making. Basically I have run out of steam, and on top of that I feel like I have lost my mojo! I forced myself the other night to get a couple of images coloured up, maybe then the mojo will come back and I can finish my Christmas cards.  I'm so far behind in those, not sure if I'm going to send out cards to everyone, but I'll try.

One of the images I coloured up is Stamping Bella's - Santa's speedy delivery.

I coloured with prismacolour pencils and blended out with gamsol.  I used a square spellbinders nestability to cut him out.  I then placed the image in my Misti to stamp the  sentiment.  Sentiment is from Penny Black - holiday snippets.

All the papers were used from my scrap basket, so not sure of the designer of these.  I used MFT's stitched scallop basic edge for the green dp. Gold ribbon was added then added Santa on top. I added some white fun flock to Santa's coat and pompom and used a white gel pen to add a couple of dots to his cheek.   Next I added  some Stamping Bella - glitter dots.  Emily doesn't carry these anymore, but I have a whole collection in a variety of colours.

That does it for this post.  Time for bed - 5am comes early.  Thanks for stopping by, see you soon,

Pauline

This is a heck of a time to be working extra hours, and it's like that every year, isn't it? Shoot, I'm busy as all get out and I'm not even working! Finished my Christmas cards, though, yay! Speaking of which, this Santa is sooooo cute and what a treat to see him today! Now that I'm done cranking out quick cards I'd love to practice more with my Prismas. Yours always look so perfect and you've hugely inspired me. Love the fun flock and the curve in the design. Fantastic the way those glitter dots bring the pattern in the paper forward. Nice to use up those scraps. I was a good girl and didn't buy any new Christmas paper this year. It may be a good thing that our local paper crafts store closed, but I'm still sad. Running off to lunch with friends and then stocking stuffer shopping today. Better get cracking!

I think this time of year just takes all of our energy and concentration. I haven't made anything in weeks and am hoping once the holidays are over I'll be rejuvenated and ready to start off a new year of card making. Love your sweet Santa Pauline. Hugs!

Pauline,
This card is so adorable. Your colouring is superb as usual. What a great idea to use a splattered background. You are so creative. Arlene's house is so lovely. It sure gets you in the Christmas spirit. The newlyweds photo and the boys pictures are great. They sure are a happy family. Love how the dog is all ready for the winter season. Wishing you and your family a happy holiday. Enjoy your time off - it is well deserved. Many hugs!

Ah, so sorry you are so busy...no matter whether you work or not, "things" manage to fill the days up plenty! But it's wonderful to see this fabulous Santa, and what masterful coloring, my friend! I love the great layout too with the scalloped curve and the ribbon...and those buttons are perfect! Hugs, sweet friend, and I wish you and your family and blessed and joyful Christmas!
