Backyard birds

I hope you are having a good week.  I'm back to share some of Bill's photo's.  These are all taken in our backyard.

Thanks for your visit. I hope you enjoyed the pictures. Lots more to come.

Well, I can hardly express how beautiful I find these photos. You have such a variety in your backyard! How do you do that? We have the White Crowned Sparrow year round, and Eurasian Collared Doves. The other day I saw a Western Tanager, but they don't come to the feeders. There are Swainson's Thrushes in the tree tops singing prettily, but they don't come to the yard, either, as is their way. Yesterday I saw a small yellow bird, but it didn't stay. Lots of chickadees -- Black Capped and Chestnut Backed. And, of course, American Robin. A few hummingbirds. Something yesterday at one of the feeders but I didn't get a good enough look at it to identify it. The pictures I get with my point and shoot are laughable compared to Bill's. Tee hee, you'll see a couple on my blog Monday. I must say, there's nothing common looking about that Common Grackle -- wow! Dang, even the garter snake looks beautiful! Love how he caught the White Throated Sparrow mid-hop. What a beautiful setting you have for the birds and photos. I know I need more feeders and bird baths. They all love the bird bath. I'm thinking maybe Rich needs to make some birdhouses. Okay, I've gone on long enough. This has been a most enjoyable visit, Pauline!
