In between all my Christmas card making I had to make some birthday cards as well. Today's card is an image from Hero Arts.
I started by inking up the tag like stamp using SU Soft Sky and stamped this onto white card stock. The stamp has the bird design cut into it as well as the swirly border. I used one of the stamps in the set - branch with the bird and inked this using distress markers, huffed then stamped onto my tag.
I then stamped the sentiment in black ink.
For the layer on top of the card base I used one of the embossing folder from Sizzix - 2pce floral vines set. I then layered some lace and adhered it to the back of the embossed piece. This was then adhered to my card base.
I used dimensionals to raise the tag up on the card. Finished off with some silk ribbon for the tassel, used my clear wink of stella pen for the green leaves and bird and then added a couple of flower sequins over one of the little stamped flowers.
Overall a very easy card - another great card to mass produce. Finished size 5.5 x 4.25.

You have a real knack for picking out the most beautiful stamps and knowing exactly the perfect thing to do with them. I've never seen this set. Sometimes I feel like culling out most of my old stuff and starting over. It seems you always have something new and exceptionally pretty, but really it's just you being so good at what you do. The white and the lace is so pretty with this. Really love the tag stamp and the bird on branch. Well, I just love it all!
Hi Pauline,
Love the card - soooo pretty. Stamping isn't my thing but when I see a lovely card like yours it makes me want to do more.
Much love,

Sweet. The details are so delicate and lovely. Beautiful stamping, but I would expect no less. :-) Hugs!
I love this, Pauline. Have this set so this is a definite case for me. Such inspiring blog!
