A hardy summer flower

Hi, hope your week is going well.  I'm back today to share with you another Powerpoppy card.
The image I'm using is from this months digital release - Geraniums. I love geraniums - they are such an easy flower to grow, can take the heat of the summer and still survive. And not only that they seem to bloom all summer long and into the fall.  Such a hardy flower.  I'm also entering this into this weeks Peep of the Week challenge.

After printing the image I pulled out my prismacolour pencils and gamsol to colour.  I then cut it out using spellbinders hexagon die, left the die in place and sponged some memento sprout around the image.  The sponge seemed to pull some of the dark pink pencil that's why you see the pink hues, which I kind of like.  I had a doily already cut out just lying on my table so reached for that and liked the look of that layered behind the image.  I then cut a larger circle from heavy vellum to lay behind the flowers.  DP is MME - dilly dally & dolled up. I cut a small doily from MFT out of some dark pink, cut the doily in half then adhered it to the pink check fish tale strip.

Finished with some stitching, ribbon, glitter, pearls and sequins.

Supplies:
Image: Powerpoppy - digital geraniums
ink: prismacolour pencils, gamsol, memento- sprout
dies: spellbinders hexagon, MFT small doily, Cheery Lynn - italian flourish doily
paper: MME - dilly dally, dolled up, grey, dark pink, PTI-vellum
misc: sequins, ribbon, pearls, glitter

Thanks for stopping by. Till next time....

Be-U-ti-ful, Pauline! Naturally it's colored with gorgeous perfection, and the Sprout is such a pretty, soft green for sponging. I would have thought you purposely added the hint of pink -- it looks all glowing and fabulous! The designer paper looks like real fence or barn boards, and I'm particulary fond of the die cut half circle accent. What a cute idea that is! Also, that's such a cute little ruffled border. I just love it all!!
