Hi and welcome to another bellariffic challenge. Today our challenge is to use flowers on your card - any way you choose. I was excited when I saw this weeks challenge, because I loooovvvee flowers, anything nature related.
My image is a cutie called Little peep's flower vase- I've coloured her before but I just love these peeps, and since she had flowers in her image - bonus. Also a great image which can be used for many occasions- double bonus! Okay, so here she is...
Now is she adorable or what? You know the drill, I always start with bella's bestest paper to stamp my images on. I used copics to colour and shaded with pencils. I came across this 12x12 sheet of dp the other day, which was still sitting on my table - it has flowers on it, great colours, so that's what I based my colouring on. My card base is a grand spellbinder die -called grand scallop squares - I so love these. Lately Beate has been using these larger size dies for her card base, so after seeing her beautiful creations I so needed a few of them. Next you will notice the gorgeous punched flower strip along the bottom under the image -when my BFF Carla use this border punch on this card I knew I had to pull my MS punch out and use it. I'm glad I did, I love how it turned out. While your at Carla's blog be sure to check out all her other gorgeous creations! She is the queen of dies, and a great inspiration.
To finish this off, I added lots of glitter, glossy accents on the circle flowers, ribbon, a prima rusty orange flower, and some punched leaves using MS punches. I'm very happy how this turned out.
Hop over to bloggabella to see all the other gorgeous creations. Leave a comment for your change to win $10 in bella bucks!
For next week, we are back to another great sketch by Ebru. You can email your card to Emily or upload on SCS using the keyword BELLARIFFIC1712.
Thanks for looking in today. Have yourself a wonderful weekend!

april showers...
brings May flowers! My card today reflects both of those - rain and flowers!!
Don't you just love the Uptown girl images? For my card today, I coloured up Uptown Girl Lolly and her Brolly! Seems like she has been a popular image with the 'babes' this week.
I started by stamping her on bella's bestest paper and then coloured with copics and shading down with pencils and gamsol. I wanted to colour her in mauves, so I matched her up with some yummy-licious paper from MME called Fiddlesticks- love this paper - well actually love all the MME collections.
After cutting her out I sponged some versamagic sea breeze around her. For the white border I used a couple of s/binder edgeabilities - the classic scallop set and classic decorative inserts one. I love how these are all interchangeable.
Finished off with lots of glitter, cream silk ribbon, pearls and glossy accents on the sunflower.
See you back here on Friday for our bellariffic challenge - it's Flowers - hope you get a chance to play along!

lady in pink..
I really wanted to say Lady in red, but the strike through wouldn't work in the title, so I just called it like it was.
Today, I 'm working on some birthday cards, so pulled out a great image my Mo Manning in rubber at Stamping Bella called Veronica.
Veronica was stamped on bella's bestest paper and coloured with copics and shading done with pencils & gamsol. After cutting her down to size I sponged some antique lined around the edges. DP is by Basic Grey called Bittersweet.
Finished off with a nice big fat brown bow, and glitter.
Just a reminder for our challenge this week - Flowers - in any fashion - paper, prima, in your image as long as it's a bella image and you use flowers you can play along. Email Emily your card by thursday night or upload it on SCS using the keyword BELLARIFIC1612. There is $20 in bella bucks up for grabs just by playing along.
Thanks for dropping by today, till next time...

Little girl in blue..
Hi everyone, hope you had a good weekend. It was a very cool weekend here in SW Ontario. Yesterday, Bill and I went down to Pt. Pelee, to see if there were any new birds have landed. It was so cold along Lake Erie - strong cold winds and cloudy, but I had layers of clothing on to keep me warm.
It felt like winter all over again. Brrrrrr. We had a successful outing, we saw a red-headed woodpecker, palm warbler and a blue gray natcatcher. These birds don't sit in one place too long, always fluttering around so it was hard to get a real good picture of them and with being cloudy not the best for pictures, but I do believe Bill managed to get a couple of good ones. I will share with you once he prepares them.
This afternoon, I managed to work on a card in between cooking a roast chicken dinner and a pot of soup for lunches this week.
I found this sketch I really liked from Card Patterns #160. So I pulled out an image that would work.
I'm using one of the new images from Emily's last release called Flynn needs a cupcake.
I stamped her on bella's bestest paper using black memento ink. I then coloured her up using copics and shading is done with pencils and gamsol. I based my colours on paper from MME called On the Bright Side - One. I think I got a bit carried away with the glitter, I started with just a bit of glitter on the bottom of her dress, and then i just kept on dotting my quickie glue pen all over, so that's why she has so much glitter - but then again a 'girl' needs glitter right! Finished off with some stitching, prima flower and I punched the leaves using a couple of different Martha Stewart leaf punches.
Okay, off to get some things in order to begin the work week again. Have a good week, see you again real soon.

Do you measure up?..
well Leila always measures up! Happy friday everyone, and welcome to another bellariffic friday challenge. Today's challenge was a sketch challenge. Another awesome layout by Ebru!
For my image this week I'm using this cutie called Leila always measures up.
As always she was stamped on bella's bestest paper and coloured using copics and shading done with pencils. Designer paper is Basic Grey - Hopscotch. I have since changed where the sentiment goes, I turned it on an angle across the same corner - in accordance with how the sketch was. (thanks Lucy!).
Finished up with a bit of glitter and some stitching.
Be sure to stop over at Bloggabella, check out all the entries, then leave a comment for a chance to win $10 in bella bucks.
For our challenge next week, we have a theme - and your going to love this one, at least I do - use FLOWERS on your card, whether it be paper, primas, in your image etc - get creative! Just have your card to Emily by thursday night or upload it on SCS using the keyword BELLARIFFIC1612.
Thanks for stopping in today, have a great weekend.

You bring colour to my life...
Hello friends! How is your week going? Last night I taught class at Paper Pickle. We did 2 great cards, both images by Stamping Bella. The ladies did a fantastic job on the colouring. Here are the cards we did. We used lots of product on these two cards- pencils & gamsol, distress inks, chalks, embossing powder, s/binder dies, liquid pearls, and glitter.
For my card today I have a Mo image to share with you. Here is Painter Meg.
Meg was stamped on bella's bestest paper with black memento ink. I coloured her with copics and shaded with pencils basing my colours on some new paper I bought at Scrapfest. This paper pack is by Prima Marketing called Doodle Deux. Love the colours in this, from reds, oranges, yellows, greens black and soft blues. Meg looks kind of like a boy with these colours, but I think they suit her (of course I talked myself into that because I didn't want to colour her again! LOL). The black strip along the bottom was cut from a new die I bought at the Stamping Bella booth - it's called Notebook Edge from MFT. I used the negative side of the punched edging. Love it when a die has a dual purpose!
This stamp set also comes with a sentiment which I didn't use but it says: you bring colour to my life.
Finished off with some stitching, sponged some antique linen around the image, and used a glaze pen on the paint - it gives it a nice glossy finish.
That's it for me for today, enjoy your day with whatever you are up to. Thanks for stopping in, and I will see you on Friday for our bellariffic challenge. You still have time to play along in our sketch challenge. Just email your card to Emily by thursday night or upload it on SCS using the keyword BELLARIFFIC1512.

A berry happy day
Well, it's Monday, so not 'a berry happy day' because I could use another day off this weekend!
I had a great time on Saturday with Linda and Paula as we traveled to Kitchener to Scrapfest. We met up with Emily at the Stamping Bella booth. Linda and Paula helped with the make n' takes, so I wondered around. I had no intentions of buying anything, but, well you know how that goes, I came home with goodies. Mainly Tim Holtz products - stains, distress ink, and alcohol inks, a couple 6x6 paper packs, and a couple of new dies - yes, one can never have too many! LOL!
I received my new stamps from the last release, so they were just ichin' to get inked. I love the new Flynn images. Today I share with you Flynn's Berryhappyday.
I could of kicked my self on Saturday. As I was walking around the show, I noticed this 12x12 paper that was very pretty and had little strawberries on it. Right away I thought of this stamp I used today. I didn't feel like carrying one piece of paper around so thought oh I'll wait until later. Well later in the day, do you think I could remember which booth I saw it at? NO! So, I rummaged through my papers at home and couldn't find anything with berries on, so I went with this colourful paper from MME called Quite Contrary.
As always, I stamped her on bella's bestest white paper and coloured her with copics and shaded with pencils and gamsol. Dies used are oval and labels #18. This image also comes with a sentiment which I stamped using black versafine on a strip of white c/s. Rounded the corners and layered it onto a piece of red c/s.
Finished the card off with glitter on the large strawberry and I added some glossy accents on the smaller strawberries on her dress. A bit of stitching around the image and popped up the sentiment at the bottom.
This week's bellariffic challenge is a sketch. We would love for you to play along. See sketch on previous post below.

Baby shower
Hi blogging friends, how has your week been? So glad it's Friday, (and friday the 13th at that!) not only because is it the weekend, but I'm heading off to Scrapfest with Linda and Paula. Maybe I'll see some of you there at the Stamping Bella booth! Should be a blast!
A LITTLE PLUG FOR ME: For any of you local gals, in case you are in need of a card and don't have time to make one , Kim at Paper Pickle is now selling my cards in the store. I have about 20 in there now, but will be bringing them in on an on-going basis. She has been after me for the last couple of years to do this.
Well, here we have another Bellariffic friday challenge upon us. This weeks challenge is a Shower card - whether it be a bridal or baby or use rain on your card. So I decided to make a baby shower card.
For my image I picked another oldie bella image called Pregabella.
I started by stamping her on bella's bestest white paper using black memento ink. She was coloured using copics and shading done with pencils. DP is by Kaisercraft called Lil' Primrose. I used a Quickutz alphabet set called Jacqueline to cut out the letters for 'baby'. Used an oval and oval scallop spellbinder die as well as an EK Success scallop border punch.
Finished off with a bit of glitter, white satin ribbon and some bella pearls, I can't seem to find the link to link them too but I'm sure Emily still has them in the store.
Be sure to stop over at Blogabella and leave a comment on this weeks gorgeous submissions. By doing so, you have a chance to win $10 in bella bucks.
Next weeks challenge is sketch #8! Another fantastic sketch by Ebru - Thanks Ebru you sure make our life much easier :). If you would like to participate this week, which we hope you do, you can email your card to Emily or upload it on SCS using the keyword BELLARRIFC1512. Again, there is $20 up for grabs for playing along with us. Here is your sketch:
Have a wonderful weekend - looks like a wet one here! Thanks for stopping by today.

I am so not ready for this to be Monday, I need another day off. I had a busy 3 days, and would love to have another day just to catch up on things.
Bill and I took off to Oakville/Toronto for the weekend to so some 'birding/photography'. We had a fabulous time, I wasn't ready to head home when we did, would of loved some more time up there.
We visited many parks but the ones that stood out with us were Humber College Park, Humber Bay and High Park. Bill took some phenomenal pictures that I will share with you shortly. One of the must see birds on Bill's Life List is the wood duck, and we were fortunate enough to see several of them Sunday morning at High Park.
So last night I realized I didn't have a card done for today, so guess what I had to do? Yup, had to colour up a card. I've always loved these Mo images that came out back in November but every time I ordered I always forgot to put them in my cart, so on my last order I remembered!! Big chair boy is the imaged I coloured by Mo Manning in rubber through Stamping Bella.
I stamped him on bella's bestest white and coloured him using copics and pencils for shading.
I matched my colours up to designer papers from MME called Fine and Dandy. For my layout I basically took Fridays sketch challenge #7 and used it, since it seemed to fit with my image perfectly.
Finished off with some buttons - always like to use buttons on 'little people' cards - they just seem to go hand in hand.
Also, a reminder for our bellariffic challenge this week, if you have a chance to play along our theme is Shower card - bridal, baby or use rain in the image. Email Emily your card by thursday night or upload it on SCS using the keyword BELLARIFFIC1412.

Sketch #7
Welcome everyone to another Bellariffic friday. Can you believe that we are up to Sketch #7 already?
We had another wonderful sketch to follow this week. I'm sure I will use this layout again.
Before I begin, I have some exciting bella news to share with you. We have a new 'babe' in the house! Woohoo! Join me in welcoming Natasha Kara - and you can view her blog here. While your visiting her blog leave her some love! :)
Now for my card, I'm using one of my favourite 'fella' images. This one always seems to be a hit. Let me introduce Beerafella.
Wow, okay does this seem bright to you? best get your sunglasses out! LOL. But isn't he a handsome guy? Well you know how I started - stamped him on bella's bestest paper and coloured him with copics. Shading was done with pencils and gamsol. I based by colours on this paper from Basic Grey - Marjolaine. In behind the image I used an MFT ric rac die to cut a piece of grey c/s. As the sketch stated - I needed a sentiment, so I used a happy birthday sentiment. I stamped it on white c/s using black memento, and a brad to finish it off.
Want a chance to win $10 in bella bucks? Then hop over to Bloggabella, check out all then entries for this week, and leave a comment - it's that easy.
Next weeks challenge is a Shower Card - bridal/baby or rain in the image. I know what image I'm going to use - how about you? Email Emily your card by thursday night or upload it on SCS using the keyword BELLARIFFIC1412.
I wish you a wonderful Easter weekend. Enjoy!

Another Izzie
Hi all! How is your week going so far? Can't wait until tomorrow at 4 - then off for a 3 day Easter weekend!
For my card today I managed to colour up another Izzie image. This one is called Izzie has a brelly.
Thanks for coming by, see you on Friday!
For my card today I managed to colour up another Izzie image. This one is called Izzie has a brelly.
She is stamped on bella's bestest paper and coloured with Copics. Shading is done with pencils and gamsol. I tried to make some clouds in behind Izzie after she was cut out, and I managed to mess it up - used the wrong blue ink and it looked horrid, so I covered it up using some versamagic sea breeze, that's why it is a bit heavy in colour along the top edge - grrrrr. I just had to use my new Spellbinder Floral Oval. I think it fits perfectly with Izzie. DP is some older Basic Grey- Urban Prairie.
Finished off with lots of glitter and some white silk ribbon.
Don't forget about our challenge this Friday. To make things easy for you, we have supplied you with a sketch to follow. You can email Emily your card by thursday night or upload it on SCS using the keyword BELLARIFFIC1312. By doing so you have a chance to win $20 in bella bucks. Here is your sketch:

Sit back, relax and put your feet up
I wish that is what I was doing today, but off to work I go. This weekend was kind of a blur for me, a lot going on. And the weather was not the best, cloudy, cool, breezy. But, I did manage to squeeze in some colouring.
I had this image sitting on my desk for some time now, just waiting to be coloured. It was one of those moments, that every time I thought of colouring it, I would have another image in mind, so friday night I made myself do it! And besides it's a bella image, and I feel we just don't see very many 'bella' images any more since Emily has so many other awesome images.
Let me introduce "Putyourfeetupabella"!!!
I stamped her on bella's bestest white paper and then coloured using copics and pencils. After cutting her out using a square s/binder die, I sponged some pumice stone distress ink around her. DP is from MME called Dolled Up. Used a Martha Steward border punch for the decorative black edge on the bottom.
Finished up with some glitter and some bella dots. I used glitter coal, and glitter plantinum.
Hope you have a great day, and thanks for stopping in today.
