Floral stem collage

Hello everyone.  Boy, have I been in a 'stamping' slump! But, this weekend I managed to create 3 cards (woohoo!!).  For some reason after the Christmas break, I have been struggling, not sure what the reason is, when I'm at work I have all these ideas for card making, then when I get home and after dinner I have no desire, but lets hope I have turned this around.

My card today features a Poppy Stamp die called Floral Stem Collage.  And what made this even simpler to make is that I already had some background papers I made on my table, so put the two together and this is the finished product.

The background was made some time ago, so not sure of the colours I used, but I know I did use distress inks.

I cut the background smooshy piece to fit behind the die cut flower piece. This was then layered onto a piece of light green then onto my card base.

I used a Penny Black die for the smile - I actually cut it  from a scrap piece from the background I had left over.  I also used the butterfly from Poppy Stamps - butterfly mini corner, cutting one from white and the other from a scrap piece of the background to add some colour.

The floral stem collage die set also comes with a separate flower, so cut one of those and adhered over the main flower.

To finish off I added a light green  rhinestone.

Thanks for your visit today, hope your having a wonderful day! See you soon,

Pauline

Wow, oh, WOW! First of all, your background is gorgeous! You did that with smooshing? It's so perfect! Beautiful, dreamy colors. And I LOVE that die! What a fabulous frame it makes for your background. Also, the script on the "smile" is so pretty and happy. Everything came together so perfectly by cutting the word and butterfly from the same background piece. This has to be one of your most beautiful cards ever, and there are many. I'm so glad you felt crafty over the weekend. I could never stamp in the evenings, and still don't. Just too worn out from the day to be creative.
