Poppies of a different colour

Hope everyone is having a good week.  I'm back today to share a card with you that I will be teaching in June at our local stamping store The Paper Pickle.

I've made a card using this stamp before, but this time I coloured the Poppies Yellow! I googled poppies and I was surprised to see the different variation of colours for them.  Light pink, coral, yellow/orange, deep red, orange, so I decided to go with the yellow/orange tone.  It's a colour I don't use much when I make cards, so needed to step outside my comfort zone.

I used copics to colour and shading was done with prismacolour pencils.  I love the outcome of these poppies.  I'll list all supplies below.  I finished off with glitter and made some small dots using white liquid pearls.

Supplies:
Stamp - Penny Black - blooming garden
Ink - black momento, copics - Y00, Y21, Y35, Y38, G40, G99, YG63, Prismacolour penci - pumpkin orange, Distress ink - tumbled glass, scattered straw
Paper - Bazzill - blue, Webster Page - morning glory, white, yellow
Dies - spellbinder oval, floral oval, Grand labels twenty-three
Misc - white liquid pearl, glitter, glue pen, silk ribbon

Thanks for stopping in today, have a great day!

That is sooooo beautiful, Pauline! How fun to be in the class that will make this card! Gorgeous poppies. Love the card shape, the sponging of the oval, those perfectly placed pearl dots, and the glitter. The pretty color of the poppies is very nicely set off by the blues in the background. And, of course, you've got that sweet little bow. I need more of the narrow silk. It makes such beautiful bows. I'm always so happy when I see you've made a card. Have a good weekend!
