Spring Poppies

Hi- sorry I have not posted during the last week.  Bill and I spent Easter Weekend up in Algonquin Provincial Park, so I had things to get ready, and just did not have time to post.  Weather was good for the most part, but they still have lots of snow on the trails, lakes are still frozen over, but most of the streams are running with plenty of water.  The amount of water they have up there compared to last year is unbelievable, thanks to a never ending winter with lots of snow.

Anyway, hopefully I will have some pictures to share with you once Bill goes through them all.

I didn't think I had a card to post, but was looking through my files and realize I never posted this one. This is a digital image from --  A day for Daisies and the image I used can be found here - spring poppy bunch.

I coloured the poppies using copics, then sponged some green and blue ink around the image.
I cut a square out of green pre-embossed c/s 4x4".  I then cut a circle out of the square. Used pop dots to raise this over the image. I stamped the sentiment on some cream c/s, then trimmed both ends into flag ends, then sponged some antique linen around the edges.  Added a wooded leaf which was sponged with some antique linen, and some glitter on the poppies to finish this off.

Supplies:
Image - digi - A Day for Daisies
Ink - black versafine, copics - G40, G43, Y00, Y02, Y38, antique linen distress, SU soft Sky,
Memento - new sprout
Paper - white cougar, cream, embossed green, DP - Bo Bunny - country garden
Dies - spellbinder - square, circle
Misc - glitter, wooden leaf from Studio Calico

Thanks for your visit.  Have a wonderful day!

Pauline

I can't believe you never posted this! Promise you'll never hold out such a beautiful card again. This really will go on my list of favorite cards by you, and that is a long list, trust me. It's a pretty image, but I also like the earthy colors, the card design, and that bit of sparkle. The wood leaf embellishment, too. Everything about this is just wonderful too look at. It feels very good on my eyes.
