Good morning everyone. As I am writing this post we are upon another winter storm. As my daughter left for work, I stuck my head out and it is a very fine sleet style snow coming down. We are suppose to get hit with another 6-8 inches on top of the last 8 inches we got on thursday/friday.
I'm not a winter gal, much prefer the spring and fall temps. Heck we live in the 'banana belt', we shouldn't be getting this much snow - LOL!
So for the real reason you dropped by today - I have been working on some of my cards for my order I have for a co-worker. The card today is one of three cards she requested for a bridal shower.
I was quite pleased on how it turned out.
I call this one New Beginnings.......
To start out - for my card base I folded a piece of card stock in half and made sure when I placed it on my die (I used the largest die from this set) the folded edge was just inside the cut line of the die. This was when you run it through your die cutting machine it will cut the other 3 edges but leave the fold edge untouched. This way you will still be able to open the card as you normally would and it is still all in tact. I then proceeded to cut all the other layers. It's pretty self explanatory, so I will just list the ingredients below.
Dies: Spellbinder Radiant Rectangles - I used this set for all the layers you see above.
Paper : White Cougar, Basic Grey (unsure of the name just a scrap piece I had) PTI - light grey
Sentiment: Justrite -Vintage Filigree Fancies
Ink: SU True tyme
Additional supplies - PTI silk ribbon, flowers, pearls, pop dots
I'll be back in a few days to share the next wedding shower card.
Thanks for stopping by today. I'm off to fill the bird feeders before the storm hits - have to keep by birds happy, and then off for my daily morning walk. Yesterday we had so many birds, there must of been at least 75 at one time - from house sparrows, tree sparrows, cardinals (I call them Mr & Mrs C) blue jays, dark eyed juncos, white crowned sparrows, gold finches, house finches and our fox sparrow shows up occasionally. Keep warm my friends (or cool depending where you live!).

Another beautifully elegant card, Pauline. I love the dies you used, your pretty flower spray and colour choices.
Sorry to hear about your winter storms. We are having quite the opposite, but just as disruptive. Lots of gale force winds and flooding! The weather all across the world is bad right now.....stay safe! xx
I have this set of dies and I'll have to see if I can reproduce this shape with layers 'cause I sure do love it. It's an absolutely drop dead gorgeous card and hugely inspiring to me. Thanks again for making my day!
Absolutely gorgeous.
luv

I wish I understood how to use these kinds of dies as well as you do. It's truly a talent all in itself. Exquisite! Hugs and stay warm!
Beautiful Pauline. Hopefully you've managed to stay warm. I hear it's warming up out there.
