Hi. Just thought I would pop in for a quick post tonight. This card was basically made with dies.
Memory Box & Spellbinders. It was a fairly quick card, I ended up making 3 of them.
Not much explaining on this one, so will list the supplies I used.
Dies - Memory Box - Grand happy birthday, scalloped cake stand, petite cake, (all purchased from Paper Pickle)
Spellbinders - Classic edges one, classic decorative inserts three
Misc - seam binding ribbon, liquid pearls, glitter and pearls
Card measures 5.5 x 5.5
Thanks for stopping in. Enjoy the rest of the week.

A wintery blast and a card
Oh my, ole' man winter has struck again. Very high winds, cold temps, blowing and drifting snow, road closures you name it we have it!! I heard something banging against the side of the house in the night and this morning looked out and there is a piece of siding ripped off and was hanging, so out we went and try to fix it. Bill put a couple of screws to hold in place until the spring when we can replace it. Temps are -6C with windchill -16 today but colder temps start again on Sunday until Thursday again with temps down to -25C. How many more days till Spring?? This has been one of the worst winters we have had in a very long time. There seems to be no end to it.
Okay, so lets get to my card. I told you how much I loved the Spellbinder Tapestry die. Well here is another card showcasing this die.
I started with my base measuring 6.25 x 4.5 in cream card stock. The tapestry layer was cut from SU Blush Blossom. Love the softness of this colour. I stamped the image from Justrite -With Sympathy (purchased at Paper Pickle) using memento desert sand, then colouring it using prismacolour pencils. I stamped the sentiment over the image using Rich Cocoa Memento, using my stamp positioner to line it up.
I used Spellbinders Labels Twenty-Eight to cut out the image.
Finished off with a prima flower.
I'm off to battle the elements, need to pick up some groceries. Thanks for the visit, have a wonderful day.

On this Special Day..
Happy Monday - it's a start of a brand new week! Thanks for all your well wishes, I'm feeling much better, but still have that hacking cough.
I'm here today to share a Wedding card I made for a co-worker. I was smitten on how this turned out.
It's amazing how those Spellbinder dies can really make your card! What did we ever do before those dies came out??
I started out with a white linen base card measuring 5 x 7. The next layer is cut from a piece of white (although it doesn't look like a true white) pearlized floral c/s using the Spellbinder Tapestry die. This die cuts like butter, one run through the big shot and everything is cut out. For the center white layer, I basically cut the tapestry die again using white linen, then hand cut out the center part that matches the base layer. The sentiment layer is also using white linen and for this I used a stamp set from Justrite called celebraton labels one for the sentiment and Black -eyed Susan vintage labels five for the border. The sentiment was cut out using the Vintage labels five dies from Justrite.
Finished off with some lace, silk ribbon, flower, heart hat pin and pearls.
I love how this Tapestry looks once cut out, I have made a few more cards using the same die. I will share these with you next.
Thanks for stopping in for a visit, have yourself a great day!

Quick Masculine card
Hi all. It's been a rough week for me - I contacted some kind of a cold bug and my throat has been so sore I could hardly swallow for a couple of days, (good for the weight loss!) It's not as bad now but all I do is constantly cough - it gets very annoying and it hurts. But enough about me, I will be fine eventually!:)
I thought I would share a card I whipped up in about 10 min! Yes seriously, I had my card order done for my co-worker then when I checked her list I realized I forgot about a card for her brother. Darn! okay so I have about 45 min before I have to head to work so what am I going to do. Started going through my stamps and I came across this image from Le Blanche. Have you ever used their stamps?
They stamp very nice.
So to keep it masucline looking, I had to force myself to cut into a piece of textured wood grain paper that I purchased at Paper Pickle. It's not cheap, buy hey, I bought it to use I told myself, so cut it!!
LOL. I am such a paper hoarder, I really have to let go and use some of the gorgeous papers I have had for a years.
I stamped the image using Memento Rich Cocoa directly onto the wood grain paper, then layered it onto a piece of dark chocolate c/s. Out of some scrap paper I cut a fish tale flag for the corner, wrapped some textured ribbon around the image and taped on the back. Now for the 2 half circles on the bottom left, well somehow, yes somehow I managed to get a smear of brown ink and of course I had to cover it up. One 1/2 circle didn't look right so added another to balance it some. My card base is kraft, card size 5.5 x 4.25.
Finished off with a button and some twine.
There you have it a very quick and easy card. I'm sure I will be making more of these.
Well, that's it for today. Have yourself a wonderful day, and again thanks for stopping in and leaving me comments. Love to read what you have to say.
Next up -..... a gorgeous wedding card. Stay tuned.

Every happiness
Hi - I'm back today to share the last of the 3 wedding shower cards I created. Not much explaining on this one, so I will list all the particulars below.

Dies - Memory box - Trulani wreath, Catalina wreath, Spellbinder - A2 curved borders one
Embellishments - pre-made tags from Papermania, organza ribbon, pearls, sequins, flower
Embossing folder - not sure of the name
I'm off tomorrow (Monday) it's my Happy Monday - we work one extra hour a day and get every other friday or monday off, so I picked to have the Monday's - woohoo - love it, so I hope to get creative over the next 2 days, so I will have some more cards to share.
I do have a Wedding card in the works, so stay tuned.
Enjoy your day!

Happiness Always...
Hi everyone. I'm back today with a very quick post. Thought I would get this in before heading off to work. I think most of us survived this bitterly cold weather we have had over the last few days with night time dropping down to as low as -45-40C. Good news is, it is suppose to reach 6C on Saturday with rain - from one extreme to another, but I'll take it.
Okay, so for my card, still working on cards for my order, this is another wedding shower card.
Very simple, embossing folder for the top layer, used spellbinder timeless rectangle for my sentiment piece. Sentiment is from MFT - happy thoughts - stamped this in Versafine Smokey Gray and the added some flowers, ribbon and pearls.
Okay, I'm off, hope you have a wonderful day. Catch you again real soon with another wedding shower card.

New Beginnings
Good morning everyone. As I am writing this post we are upon another winter storm. As my daughter left for work, I stuck my head out and it is a very fine sleet style snow coming down. We are suppose to get hit with another 6-8 inches on top of the last 8 inches we got on thursday/friday.
I'm not a winter gal, much prefer the spring and fall temps. Heck we live in the 'banana belt', we shouldn't be getting this much snow - LOL!
So for the real reason you dropped by today - I have been working on some of my cards for my order I have for a co-worker. The card today is one of three cards she requested for a bridal shower.
I was quite pleased on how it turned out.
I call this one New Beginnings.......
To start out - for my card base I folded a piece of card stock in half and made sure when I placed it on my die (I used the largest die from this set) the folded edge was just inside the cut line of the die. This was when you run it through your die cutting machine it will cut the other 3 edges but leave the fold edge untouched. This way you will still be able to open the card as you normally would and it is still all in tact. I then proceeded to cut all the other layers. It's pretty self explanatory, so I will just list the ingredients below.
Dies: Spellbinder Radiant Rectangles - I used this set for all the layers you see above.
Paper : White Cougar, Basic Grey (unsure of the name just a scrap piece I had) PTI - light grey
Sentiment: Justrite -Vintage Filigree Fancies
Ink: SU True tyme
Additional supplies - PTI silk ribbon, flowers, pearls, pop dots
I'll be back in a few days to share the next wedding shower card.
Thanks for stopping by today. I'm off to fill the bird feeders before the storm hits - have to keep by birds happy, and then off for my daily morning walk. Yesterday we had so many birds, there must of been at least 75 at one time - from house sparrows, tree sparrows, cardinals (I call them Mr & Mrs C) blue jays, dark eyed juncos, white crowned sparrows, gold finches, house finches and our fox sparrow shows up occasionally. Keep warm my friends (or cool depending where you live!).
