Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't been around the last month, life was hectic, so hopefully things will settle down now. September was basically a blur. Bill and I went away on the Labour Day weekend. We headed back up to Algonquin Park. Weather was great, lots of pictures. Then on Sept 13, we headed out East. First stop was Lake Placid NY, then from there we headed down to Maine - Portland, Freeport and then on to Bar Harbor where we spent 3 nights. We spend the 3 days touring through Acadia National Park - the scenery was beautiful. Then we headed out to New Brunswick and then off to Cape Breton Nova Scotia where we took one day to do the Cabot Trail. We headed back home on the 21st, back through New Brunswick, Quebec and then back into Ontario, then arrived home Sunday 22nd around 4 pm. It was a fabulous trip, perfect weather every day - no rain just sunshine. Bill took tons of pictures which I will share with you on another post once we get through them all.
Then it was back to work, which I have been working 10 hour days since the 23rd, and will continue until Thanksgiving Weekend, (hence the reason for no posts or card making), so I'm on the home stretch! woohoo!!
I also have a card to share with you today as well. I had some requests from my co-workers when I came back from vacation. One gal wanted a birthday card for her Mom and this is what I did for her - (found a few hours on Wednesday night to do this.) When I gave it to her, her eyes welled up with tears - she said it was beautiful! what do you think?
Supplies:
Paper - designer -K & Company, cream, baked brown sugar SU, burgundy. Sentiments - Verve. Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. Dies - Spellbinders. Finished off with ribbon, pearls and glitter (on the flowers).
Okay, I'm off to work on a few more card orders. Thanks for stopping by, and promise I will be back soon!

Awesome adventure Pauline. Can't wait to see your pictures. Lake Placid is my playground too - our son is getting married there next year. Your work schedule sounds exhausting! I don't know how you fit in crafting time on a Wednesday after a 10 hour workday! But it sure hasn't stopped your mojo. This card is stunning!
Oh, I'm so glad to see you back, and with such a gorgeous card! The sentiment is so heartfelt and perfect. Beautiful colors and an absolutely stunning floral arrangement. Your trip sounds heavenly. The scenery must have been breathtaking. I'll look forward to photos. Your 10 hr work days do not sound like any fun at all. Heck, I complain about working four 8 hr days, and I still can't get much stamping done!
Hi Pauline, just found a Pinterest card linking back to your post & popped over for a visit. Became your newest follower and hope you'll find time to visit me as well. What I think is that you did a beautiful, very personalized card for your friend for a most special occasion.I can certainly understand her tears, and can imagine how her wonderful Mother must have felt to receive a lovely handmade card. TFS & looking forward to enjoying more of your art works.
Pauline, your card is amazing! I love the butterfly circle. Thanks for sharing.
