Going on Hiatus

Hello blogging friends. Yes, I'm going on hiatus, so this will be my last post for December.  I'll will be back in January for sure. I've never taken a break from blogging in 2.5 years, it just feels kind of strange.  I'm not going anywhere and all is good. Our year end is Dec 31 where I work which means crunch time is on. Overtime starts today and continues into the month, which means very little time for card making. And with this being a busy month anyways with the Holidays, something just has to give before I get burnt out.  I will continue to check out your blogs and leave comments so you will still hear from me!

As promised yesterday, I have a new Uptown girl image to share.  With 6 birthdays in December this one will end up with one of my friends.  This is Uptown girl Bubbles loves Bubbly! Doesn't she look relaxed?

Bubbles was stamped on bella's bestest paper with black memento ink.  I then coloured her using copics. Tub- R000, R00, R01, pillow: G000, G00, hair: E13, E15, E18, skin: E000, E00, E01, R20.  I trimmed the image down and then sponged some versamagic persimmon around the edges, layer this onto a piece of black c/s then stitched around the edges.

Designer paper is by Prima  called Rondelle.  I added lots of glitter and some pearls.  See the black flowers along the bottom of the tub - well those are rub-ons.  The tub looked really plain and I was looking for something to spruce it up.  I think the rub-ons worked well.

Well that's it for today.  Like I said I will still be around, I might even post a card or two if I do get a chance to work on any.

Take care, till next time.......Pauline

Bellariffic sketch #24

Hello to all my cyber friends.  Can you believe this is the last day of November?  Wow, this year has flown by hasn't it?

You are probably here today for the Bellariffic challenge, so lets get to it.

This week we had a sketch to follow,  a fairly easy one at that.  Yes, I'm still plugging away at my Christmas cards, so what better image to fit this weeks sketch are the circle images.  I choose to use  polar bear circle.

Starting with bella's bestest paper, I stamped the polar bear using black memento.  I pulled out my copics to colour the image, shading was done with pencils and gamsol.

Designer paper is Memory Box Yuletide - (you probably noticed the candy canes are going the wrong way on my card - oops, I cut it wrong).  I must say Memory Box as the most prettiest papers, I have a hard time using them! I used a snowflake cuttlebug folder for the green square piece and then lightly rubbed my versamagic white ink pad over the embossed area - because the green is a light colour paper it's hard to see the white.

Glitter, glossy accents (nose), ribbon and baubles where my finishing touches.

For some more great inspiration, hop over to bloggabella and check out all the entries for this week.  Leave a comment for a chance to win $10 in bella bucks.

Our challenge next week is create a tag.  It can be a tag on a card, or just a gift tag - use your creativeness, then send Emily your submission by thursday night for it to appear on Bloggabella on friday.  This also gives you a chance to win $20 in bella bucks.

Are you a big Uptown Girl fan? Well I will be back tomorrow with a new card to share with you, featuring one of the newest uptown girl images.

Also, Elaineabella has set up a challenge over on Splitcoast Stampers.  There is some great prizes, you can read all about it here.

Well that about wraps it up for today.  Enjoy your weekend.

See you tomorrow, Pauline

Under the mistletoe

I'm running behind again this week with my posts, but I do have one for you tonight. Still working on my holiday cards, give me about another 2 weeks and I should be done my orders.

I just love the Uptown girl collection, have them all, but seldom seem to grab them to colour. My card today is showcasing "Uptown girl Eve - under the missletoe."

I'm really smitten with how this turned out. I wanted to do her in another colour other then red, I was thinking a deep royal/navy blue, but couldn't find any papers that would work, so I decided on this tone instead.

I stamped her on bella's bestest paper and coloured  her with copics and shading around her done with prismacolour pencils. The colours I used for her dress are: BG70, BG72, BG75, skin E000, 00, 01, R20,
mistletoe - G94, R27, belt - black & C3, hair E15, 17, 18 & 29.  Pencils used are: Jade Green PC1021, and a very little bit of Peacock blue PC1027 - you don't need much of this because it is very rich in pigment.

After cutting her out using an oval s/b die, I sponged some versamagic oasis green around her very lightly.
Layered this onto a piece of Bazzill - Hazel which was cut  using the s/b Floral Ovals.

Designer paper is MME - Cowboy -( love all the soft shades of blues, greys and greens in this pad.) The base card is a piece of Bazzill - Lagoon,

Finished off with glitter on her dress, and  some white flock on the trim of her dress.  I added some corner bling -  from Want 2 Scrap.

I hope you like her as much as I do! Thanks for stopping by for a visit.

Till next time......

mister penguin

Hi everyone.  I want to wish all my American blogging friends and wonderful Thanksgiving. For all you black Friday shoppers, I hope you got some great deals.

We have some more exciting news! There will be  2 more bella babes joining us officially on Dec 1/12.  They are both super talented gals. You can check out there blogs:  Amanda Reed - Cards, cats and copics
and Angela Thomas- Sparkle & Bling.
Okay, lets get down to business.  This weeks challenge was to do a holiday wishes/winter card.  I struggled with this, this week because I had so many winter images and I couldn't decide on what to colour.

I narrowed it down to a few and decided on a new image from Emily's last release called Mister Penguin goes for a Ride.

As always, I stamped the image on bella's bestest paper and the coloured it up using copics.  I sponged  around the image leaving the die in place with versamagic sea breeze.  The image was then layered onto a piece of silver mirra c/s.  Designer paper is from MME called 12 days of Christmas - (last years).

I was going to stamp some snowflakes in the sky but was almost afraid to in case I didn't like it. I noticed I had some rub-ons laying on my desk and  thought I'll give that  try. The rub-ons are silver, it is so pretty in real.  I added some white flock to the trim on Ramona's hood, hero arts prisma glitter to the tree and diamond dust to the ground for the snow. Finished off with some cherry cobbler seam binding ribbon.

Stop over at bloggabella to see all the other beautiful cards created for our holiday theme.  Leave a comment for a chance to win $10 in bella bucks.

Next week our challenge is Sketch #24.  Get creative, then email Emily your card by thursday night, so we can post it on bloggabella. By doing this, you have a chance to win $20 in bella bucks.

That's it for me for today.  Enjoy your weekend, see you again real soon.

The happy family

Hi - I'm back today with another Holiday card to share with you as promised.  I'm using some new rubbah again - The happy family - is this adorable or what? Way to cute eh?

This cute  family was stamped on bella's bestest paper then I coloured using copics. After cutting it out using spellbinders long rectangles, I sponged some blue ink around the image (again not sure what colour the blue is, I just grabbed a blue dauber).  The red polka-dot paper is from the 6x6 Winter Wonderland paper pack from MME. It was cut using labels 22 spellbinder die. I also ran a piece of white cardstock through the cuttlebug using a Sizzix snowflake embossing folder. This stamp also comes with it's own sentiment -"from our house to yours", so I made a little tag with it. I stamped it on white c/s then punched it out with an oval punch.  I punched a tiny hole at one end and ran some gold twine through and tied it around the bow.

Finishing touches: white polka-dot chiffon ribbon, gold twine, hero arts prisma glitter, diamond dust and for a bit of special effects I added some Sea Sprite fine glass glitter  - oh this stuff is so pretty in real.  Its from Art Glitter, I think I've had this for quite some time.

Thanks for stopping in. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Sketch #23 and some news

Hi everyone, sorry I haven't been around this week, just too much on my plate these days, busy time of year approaching.

Some exciting news first:  We have a new BABE joining the team on Dec 1.  Let me introduce to you Kim O'Connell.   Kim is so excited that she decided to have some blog candy giveaway.  You can read all about it here.

As you know it is Bellariffic friday, which means another challenge, and this week we had a sketch to follow.  We are at sketch #23- can you believe we only have 2 more sketches to go till the end of the year? This year has flown  by hasn't it? Here is the sketch:

For my image today I'm using one of the new Ramona's - this one is called
Ramona LOVES to glide. I must say these new stamps are awesome to work with - already mounted (cling)  and they stamp wonderfully, and such a pretty colour - robin egg blue.

Is she not adorable in her pretty mauve/purple coat?  As always I stamped her on bella's bestest paper and then coloured her using copics. The colours for her coat are BV0000, BV000, and BV01 and V01 for her mitts, scarf and sections of her leggings. I cut her out using an oval s/b die, left the die in place and sponged some blue around her, not sure what colour blue because I just used what was on the sponge dauber already.

Designer paper is Memory Box. I embossed a piece of purple c/s using a cuttlebug embossing folder-(the piece directly under Ramona on the right side). To make the white border I started with a 4 3/4 x 4 3/4 white c/s and used the SU corner and border punches. I always try this on scrap copy paper first (cheaper than c/s) because sometimes you might have to make it a tad but smaller for the punches to line up as you punching around the page.  Once I get it down correctly, then I use the c/s.  I think this one ended up being 1/16" smaller than 4 3/4 to make it work evenly.

To finish off I used lots of Hero Arts glitter for the snow around her, diamond dust for the ice crystals on the ground.  I wanted to fancy up her coat so I used 3 mini pearls for her buttons - so cute eh?, and white flock for the trim on her hood. Also the sketch shows some kind of embellishment along the oval- so I used 3 sequin snowflakes.

Please stop over at Bloggabella and check out all the other entries for this week.  Be sure to leave a comment for a chance to wil $10 in bella bucks.

Next week's challenge is HOLIDAY WISHES/ WINTER CARD. With everyone working on their Holiday cards, I hope to see lots of entries next week.  Just email your card to Emily by thursday night to be included in the showdown on Bloggabella on friday.

I'll be back tomorrow with another Holiday card, and this one is so cute!  Thanks for your visit today.

What do you get.....

when you cross a Penguin with a Deer?  You get a Penguideer! LOL.  My new rubber landed Wednesday night,  and since I didn't get around to doing my friday challenge card yet I decided  to colour up something new and this little guy was so adorable I new I had to add colour to him.

Our theme this week was add snow to your card, and I did just that.  I started by stamping him on
bella's bestest paper then coloured him using copics.  After cutting out the image I left the die in place and sponged SU soft sky around him, then layered it onto a piece of cherry cobbler cut using a small scallop die.  My layout was Sweet Sunday Sketch #171.

I used a SU embossing folder for the green strip, added some snowflakes using soft sky ink to the blue background.  For my snow I used lots of glitter all over the image, and for the ground cover I used diamond dust.  I also added  a snowflake to the top left corner(it needed something, it was just too bare), this is a MFT snowflake die and a bella dot (sorry can't find the item to link it to) was added to the center.

So there you have it - a cute Penguideer! Now be sure to stop over at Bloggabella to see what everyone else created this week.  Leave a comment to win $10 in bella bucks.

Next weeks challenge we are back to a sketch. If you get a chance to play along, you can email Emily your card by thursday night.  By playing along you get a chance to win $20 in bella bucks.
That about wraps it up, see you real soon.  Have a great weekend.

Jinglebella

Hi- As I'm waiting with anticipation for my new rubbah to arrive (yes, Emily is shipping this week- woohoo) I dug out some of my older favourite Christmas images.

I'm sharing with you Jinglebella.  Doesn't she look adorable in her red Santa outfit - Hmmm if I only looked that good!

I stamped her on bella's bestest paper with black memento ink.  I then coloured her using copics and used prismacolour pencils to do some sharing around her.

After she was cut out using an oval spellbinder die, I left the die in place and sponged some antique linen around her.  I then layered the image onto a piece of black c/s cut from Grand Decorative Ovals One - using the smallest die.

Designer paper is by Authentique - Bundle (thanks to Carla - love it!).

Used glitter, white flock and ribbon to finish this off.

Just a reminder for friday's challenge card - use snow on your card- easy peasy - just be sure to have your card (email) to Emily by thursday night to be included in the showdown on bloggabella on friday.

That's it for me - heading off to bed.  Thanks for stopping in, see you back here on Friday.

Christmas Bough

Hi- just a quick post to share another Christmas card with you.

My card today features an image from a stamp set by Flourishes called Christmas Classics.

I stamped the image on papertrey white c/s using black memento, then coloured using Copics.
I then cut it out using spellbinders marvelous squares, left the die in place and sponged some antique linen distress ink around the image.  Layered this onto a piece of sage shadow also cut from the same die set.  DP is Memory Box, which is then layered onto a piece of cherry cobbler c/s.

Added glitter and gold pearls for accents.  This was a very fast card, I think I will make a few more.

Hope your enjoying your Sunday.  Thanks for stopping by.

Till next time.......

The Choir

Hi blogging friends.  Did everyone survive Halloween night?  We only had 3 little ones, 2 princesses, and a little monster - the numbers are falling, last year we had around 10 and the year before that around 20.
Of course the weather didn't help either- cold, misty rain, just downright yukky!

Well you know it's Friday, which means another challenge - and this weeks challenge was a sketch.
Here is the sketch we had to follow:

Pretty simple, but I had to change it up a bit.
I made my image an oval image on a square rather than a square on a square - but hey, it all works out in the end.

For my image I'm using 'the choir' a Christy Croll image in rubber at Stamping Bella. Don't these guys make an adorable choir?

Image was stamped on bella's bestest paper and then coloured using prismacolour pencils and gamsol.
I cut it our using an oval s/b die and then layered this onto a piece of cherry cobbler c/s cut using a scallop s/b oval die. The green layer behind is pear pizzazz and I ran this through my cuttlebug using a Tim Holtz sizzix snowflake embossing folder. Designer paper is from Echo Park - Seaons' Greetings.

Finishing touches - glitter, white flock on the trim of the hat, and glossy accents on the noses.

To see all the other beautiful cards created this week, be sure to stop over at Bloggabella and check it out.
Leave a comment for a chance to win $10 in bella bucks.

Your going to like our next challenge for next week.
It is ADD SNOW TO YOUR CARD - how fun and easy is that.  A great way to work on some of your Christmas cards. If you get a chance to play along - which I hope you do - you can email Emily your card by Thursday night to be included on Bella's blog on friday, and a chance to win $20 in bella bucks.

Thanks for stopping by for a visit today, and for leaving a comment - greatly appreciated. Enjoy your weekend, see you again real soon.

Not a creature was stirring....

not even mouse.  A perfect Christmas poem for my image today.

But I can tell you what is stirring and that is Hurricane Sandy! Wow she can throw one heck of a storm.  We are feeling the high winds and rain  that are coming off of the Great Lakes.  Just a wicked storm.  Tomorrow (tuesday) is suppose to be worse than today if that is possible! Please keep all those who are affected by Sandy in your thoughts and prayers.

The image I'm using  is called Not Even a Mouse a Mo Manning image in rubber by Stamping Bella.
This is such an adorable image.

I stamped the image on bella's bestest paper using black memento.   I used prismacolour pencils and gamsol to colour this.  Used a circle s/b die, left the die in place and then sponged some versamagic pixie pink around the image, then layered this onto a piece of white c/s cut from S/B Exquisite circles (using the largest die of this set).

The designer paper in the background was just a freebie piece I received from a stamp store I recently visited.  It seemed to work perfectly with my image.

Finished up with some stitching, glitter, mini white pearls, polkadot chiffon ribbon and a wooden snowflake from Studio Calico.

If you are able to play in our sketch challenge this week, make sure you email Emily your card by thursday night - you will have a chance to win $20 in bella bucks, and have your card appear on Bloggabella. Here is your sketch to follow.

Thanks for coming by today, see you again real soon.

Merry Christmas branch with birdies.

Image was stamped on bella's bestest paper using black memento.  I coloured the image with copics, then sponged some SU soft sky around the image after I cut it out.

The die set I used is from Spellbinders called Resplendent Rectangles.  Love all the detail on this die set.

Finished off with glitter, pearls and liquid pearls.

Bismark

Hi everyone, and welcome back to another Bellariffic Friday challenge.  This week our challenge is was to use 3 papers and 3 embellishments.- Sounds easy eh? but I think I messed it up, can you believe that?  I think what they meant by 3 papers were 3 different pieces of designer paper, I used one designer paper and 2 different colours of cardstock - does that count? probably not! Oh well, anyway here is my card for today:

This is Bismark - another Mo image in rubber by Stamping Bella.  Another one of my favourite images (hmmm I seem to have a lot of those!).  I stamped him on bella's bestest paper and coloured him with copics.  The shading around him was done with pencils.  Wheat versamagic was sponged around him after I cut him out used the square die.  I then layered this onto a piece of cherry cobbler c/s which was cut using the postage stamp s/b die.

Paper is Basic Grey - Eskimo Kisses.  For my embellishments I used, glitter, glossy accents, and some wooded trees by Studio Calico.

This is another card for my Christmas stash.  You know it is 2 months away - can you believe that, where has the year gone?

Be sure to stop over at Bloggabella to see all the other gorgeous creations for this weeks challenge.  leave a comment for a chance to win $10 in bella bucks.

Our challenge next week is sketch #22 - if you can play along we would love it.  Just email your card to Emily by thursday night to be included on bloggabella on friday - you also have a chance to win $20 in bella bucks.

Bellariffic sketch #21

Hey Happy Friday and welcome to another bellarffic challenge.  This weeks challenge we had a sketch to follow - and it was quite easy.

Well, still working on my Christmas cards - so hope I'm not boring you - for my image today I'm using circle snowman, a Krista Schneider image in rubber by Stamping Bella.  This is another favourite image of mine.

I used copics to colour him and shading around him was done with prismacolour pencils.  pencil colours: caledon green, deco aqua and light aqua, copics: snowman:C00, C01, B0000, arms (twigs)E29, hat & pressent: G21, G24, YG92, cardinal & dots on hat R24, R29, buttons C3, C5.

Dies used : spellbinders circle, and lacey circle.  For the embossing on  the sage shadow (behind the snowman) I used spellbinders M-bossabilities - Holiday magic.

Designer paper is Basic Grey Aspen Frost. I added glossy accents to the buttons, liquid applique to the snow dots and glitter all around him, and some sheer ribbon to finish it off.

Be sure to stop over at Bloggabella to see all the other entries for this week.  If you leave a comment you have a chance to win $10 in bella bucks.

Have a great weekend everyone, see you again real soon.....

Let it snow...

.... well not really, I don't want snow, at least not this early.

Another Christmas card done - but many more to go.  Snowmen melt my heart, and really who can resist a cute snowman.  My card today is using "A Snowman and a cardinal" - a Mo Manning image in rubber by Stamping Bella.

Snowman was stamped on bella's best paper and then coloured with copics, and shading around him was done with prismacolour pencils and blended with gamsol.

Papers are from Carta Bella - Christmas day.  Dies used are circle scallop, spellbinder snowflake, and memory box frosty border.

Finished off with a button, glitter and diamond dust.

Just a reminder about our bellariffic sketch challenge this week.  We would love for you to play along. You can email Emily your card by thursday night to be included in the post on friday. There is $20 up for grabs just for entering your card.
Thanks for stopping by, see you on Friday.

Autumn gate

Hi all, hope your enjoying your weekend.  It's been a rainy one here in SW Ontario - a perfect day to be indoors working on my holiday cards.

I have a card I want to share with you that I made for an order a few weeks back for Thanksgiving.  Here, I'm using a
Lockhart -Autumn Gate stamp.  When I bought the stamp I thought hmmm might be a lot of colouring, but I was pleasantly surprised how fast it coloured up using copics.

Designer paper is from We R Memory Keepers - Autumn Splendor.  Dies used are spellbinder square and marvelous squares (love this new die set), and classic decorative inserts four (which is used in conjunction with the classic edges).  Finished this off using some rhinestones and some shimmery metallic ribbon.

Well that's it for me today.  enjoy the rest of your day.  Till next time......

it's a Monstah bash!

Hi friends.  Welcome back to another bellariffic friday challenge.  This weeks challenge was HALLOWEEN.

For my card today I'm using Monstah Bash a Christy Croll image in rubber by Stamping Bella.

I stamped the image on bella's bestest paper then coloured it using prismacolour pencils and blended with gamsol.  After cutting out the image using a spellbinder oval I left the die in place and sponged some aleo vera around the top and distress antique linen along the bottom, then layered this onto a piece of bazzill orange cut using a spellbinder oval scallop die.

Designer paper is Basic Grey - Eerie - this seems my go to halloween paper, I don't have much in this theme.  I used a Verve die called Pennent Trim for the green strip and found some pre printed ribbon that said Happy Halloween ( I think this was a Michael's purchase a few years ago).

Finished it off with some stitching, and glossy accents on the balloon and the orange bumps on the green monstah.

For more 'spooky' creations be sure to stop over at bloggabella and leave a comment for a chance to win some bella bucks.

Next week our challenge theme is a sketch. If you get a chance to play along, you just have to email Emily your card by thursday night. Here is your sketch to follow.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Birthday wishes

Hello friends!  My three day weekend is closing in fast which means tomorrow is back to work! Ugh!!

I am working on some cards for a card order I have to get done, so haven't had a chance this weekend to do a new card for my post but I remembered I have a card that I have not posted.  My daughter's birthday (26th) was a couple of weeks ago, and this is the card I did for her.  She is a very plain jane girl, who loves her Mac laptop, so I though this image was perfect for her, and she loved it.

Let me introduce Uptown girl Perry on her laptop.

I'm not one to paper piece often, but this one was fun.  I first stamped her on bella's bestest paper and colour her using copics then cut her out.  I then stamped the chair on dp- Prima - Alla, shaded with  pencils to give it some dimension,  then cut the chair out, then adhered Perry on the chair where her outline was. For the floor boards I used a piece of wood grain dp from a MME 6x6 pad (not sure which one it was).

If you get a chance to play along this week for our challenge - our theme is HALLOWEEN- you can email Emily your card by thursday night for a chance to win $20 in bella bucks.

That's it for me for today, glad you stopped by for a visit.

Bellariffic sketch #20

I'm writing this post Thursday night and I must tell you today was a beautiful gorgeous fall day - a high of 73 right now, breezy, sunny and no humidity -  but look out  this weekend - much cooler temps, only in the low 50's, and rain on Friday.

First, I would like to welcome another new babe - the talented Mary Johnson to the bella team.   You can check out all her creativity here at Where's my creativity.

So what did you think of Emily (Stamping Bella's) release on Monday?  It didn't take me long to fill my cart.  If you haven't shopped yet, just a reminder that Emily is offering 15% your entire order until Monday night - so what are you waiting for - just use the code:  october2012. So while I wait for my new rubbah I'm using an older image for my card today. This weeks challenge was a sketch, and since I'm still working diligently on my Christmas cards I found the perfect image to fit it.

I used Christmatini by Krista Schneider in rubber at Stamping Bella.

I stamped the image on bella's bestest paper and then coloured using prismacolour pencils and blended out with gamsol.  After cutting it our using a rectangle spellbinder die, I left the die in place and sponged some wheat versamagic around the image, then layered this onto a piece of brown c/s cut using labels 23. The designer paper is by Cosmo Cricket - Mitten Weather.  I also used a bella sentiment - Cheers.

Finished off with some Martha Stewart seam binding ribbon, glitter, stitching, and some tiny brown pearls for the dots on the ornament.

Be sure to check out all the other entries on bloggabella this week and leave a comment for a chance to win $10 in bella bucks.

Next weeks challenge is 'halloween'- you can email Emily your submission by thursday night to be included on bloggabella on the friday,   also you have a chance to win $20 in bella bucks!

Well for us folks here in Canada it is our Thanksgiving weekend, so whoot whoot for a 3 day weekend. I hope you get to spend time with family and friends as we have so much to be thankful for.

Enjoy your weekend, and again, thanks for stopping by, I greatly appreciate it.

Monday, October 1, 2012

Hello dear friend

Hi blogging friends. First things first - if you haven't heard Emily over at  Stamping Bella has released several new images today- Uptown Girls, new Ramona images, and lots of others.  Emily is also offering 15% off your total order (until Monday Oct 8)- just need to use the code: october 2012. Also you might want to check out her clearance category - under Specials - once they are gone they are gone - so as they say the early bird gets the worm.

Okay on to my card for today.   I'm using Gossipabella - one of my favourite image lines by Stamping Bella.  I just love all the Bella's and they are so fun to colour (we need more of these Emily!!).

I stamped her on bella's bestest paper with black memento ink.  I then used prismacolour pencils to colour her and blend out with gamsol. I used MFT Rounded Banner Stax to cut her out.  Sponged some daffodil color box pigment ink around the edges, they layered it onto a piece of bazzill pink and stitched around the edge. For the tag I used hello dear friend sentiment stamp. After stamping it our using black versafine I cut it our using a spellbinder tag die, then left the die in place and sponged daffodil ink inside the die area and then clear embossed it.  I also used an EK Success border doily punch.  DP is MME - Honey.

Well that's it for me, I'm off to fill my shopping cart with all the new images - how about you?

See you soon, and thanks for stopping by.

Sneak peek #3

Hi blogging friends!  Ah it's the weekend again - don't you just love it? Welcome back to another bellariffic friday.  This weeks challenge was to use BLING on your card, and I did just that.

For my card today I'm also show casing another NEW image - this one is called Reindeer and Trees - another beautiful image by Krista Schneider soon to be out in rubber by Stamping Bella - (I think the release date is Oct 1.)

For my image I used copics and then did shading with pencils.  The blue background was done by sponging versamagic sea breeze around the image.  I then layered this onto a piece of soft suede c/s and then chocolate brown, then stitched around the image.

For the layers behind I used a Spellbinder snowflake die to cut a piece of cream shimmer c/s  and a MFT harlequin die for the red border at the bottom. DP is Basic Grey - Aspen Frost.

Then the BLING  - rhinestones on the peaks of the harlequin die, on the star and on the reindeers nose, then lots of glitter every where else.

sneak peak #2

I back today to share with you another Sneak Peak for this weeks release.  And it is another Christmas card - excited about that.  Now for all you Ramona fans out there this one is for you-

Mr. Penguin helps Ramona!

Now how cute is this image?  I must admit this was my second attempt at this card.  I had bright yellow dp picked out to go with her and when I went to put it together it was way too busy (even my husband agreed!), so I rummaged through some more papers and came up with what you see here.  It is by Echo Park called Christmas bells - this was from last year.  I coloured the image using copics and some shading done with prismacolour pencils and gamsol.

Dies used are the spellbinder large square and the large postage stamp square.  Since I didn't have the right colour yellow c/s for layering, I took a piece of yellow c/s and used my copic marker to colour the paper.  I just ran the chisel end of the copic all the way around the outside edge of the c/s, and voila it matches Ramona's coat! I also used a cloud die and sponged around it to put some clouds in the sky, using versamagic sea breeze.

Finishing touches: lots of glitter, diamond dust for the ground, ribbon, white flock for the trim on her hat and pompom, and rhinestones for the corners.

Well that's it for today - don't forget about our challenge this week - it is use BLING on your card - glitter, rhinestones, pearls, you name it, if it sparkles use it! You can email Emily your card by thursday night to be included in the challenge.  Your name will also go in for a draw to win $20 in bella bucks.

See you back her on Friday.  Thanks for stopping by.

Are you ready......

for a SNEAK PEAK??? Well you are in for a treat today, because I think for this weeks bellariffic sketch challenge some  of the babes will be show casing a 'new image' to be released next week at Stamping Bella.

I have seen a couple of the images and OMG you guys are going to love this release.

Okay, okay, I know you want to see my card, so here goes - his name is FROSTIER - designed by Krista Schneider - so glad she is back, I love her stuff! Don't you just love him.  I have a soft spot for snowman, they just melt my heart.

I used both copics and pencils to colour him. Designer paper is from MME - winter wonderland.  For my sentiment I used happy holidays The ribbon looks brown but is is a deep burgundy.  For the dies I used spellbinder circles, and ovals and Memory Box frosty border.

Finished it off with lots of glitter, glossy accents for the buttons and the berries on his hat.  For the ground I used diamond dust - it's a chunky glitter - so so pretty and sparkly.

Be sure to hop around to the other babes blogs to see what they are showcasing today, or you can head over to bloggabella and see it all there.  Leave a comment for a chance to win $10 in bella bucks.

Next weeks challenge is 'BLING IT UP"! You can email your card to Emily by thursday night to be included in the showcase on bloggabella on friday - you also have a chance to win $20 in bella bucks - hey just in time for the release.
